WHAT? That was the purpose of Vicki's coup d'etat of Ukraine in Feb. 2014. It was Russia's only warm water Naval Base in Sevastopol, Crimea (with a Ukraine navy base next to it). In fact, Vicki and crew were so sure of it they had already sent out bids to contractors for reconstruction at the Russian base. But something happened very quickly. The Crimean people voted 98% to (re) join Russia and no a single Ukrainian nazi goon every had the courage to enter the territory of Crimea. Not a single shot was fired. 80% of the Ukrainian sailors became Russian sailors over night. The remaining 20% were given safe protected escorted back to Ukraine and Putin kept his base.
