Once upon a time there was no writing to leave information behind. For thousands of years people just spoke language and used stories to pass information down. Story telling is the primary way humans have been passing information and traditions down their generations for thousands of years before there was ever an alphabet. They got really good at it and when writing came along, their was already a very long set tradition of story telling which helped the content of the writings. Metaphoric, parabolic, mythological, theological writings then start to emerge as they writing down their stories and at the same time start recording history and use writing to educate people and keep accounts of all things like scientific measurements. In time with trial and error and observational science they were able to map out the days of the week and form the calendar, zodiac, and measure time and start a cycle of progression that has always been kept down by trying to stick to the original traditions made before much truth was discovered and made to be the practical way of modern times. If not for the tradition keeping in the first place there never would have been an intelligent progressive movement out of the foggy darkness of the deep ancient past of humanity. Hollywood movies are written in the same format as pretty much all the mythologies of ancient civilizations and the bible stories are written in and Jesus taught in that manner as well, story telling.
Take a look at the Enuma Elish written thousands of years ago and we can prove it because they carved it into stone. The Enuma Elish is the source for the first book in the bible Genesis. In Genesis there is the first account and then the second account. The first one copies the Enuma Elish on several points and then in the second account they continue on with the Sumerian myths write about the Annunaki and Nephilim and the Flood. It's all there.
We have been fooled about how old the bible is. It has been determined that it was written no older than 600 BC. Would you believe that? It can not be proven that the bible exists before that time, except when you read other ancient civilizations histories. Then you start to see similar things like the seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine. That is Egyptian history coming from more carved stone left behind thousands of years ago in the deep past and the re-write of our ancient history has been taken in as the factual scientific explanation of our existence.
