Anon, remember a few weeks ago when the board suddenly had a filter and if you used certain words the post would be rejected?

It was right before Easter if I remember correctly, and Jim said 'the board may be down for a few days'

the board was only down for a few hours. Cudos to Jim.

anyway getting back to the issue of post deletion:

it does seem as though there is a similar algorithm that will tag posts that MIGHT be violating board rules.

that would be that they use and @<some numbercode and tag a post with that.

probably it's an AI that checks for words in a similar way, but instead of it not letting a post through, it marks it for review by a BV.

and that is why a person who gets that may or may not have their posts deleted.

and some of the people who review aren't as fair minded as others, or them might make a mistake about who it is that is posting illegal content, and they might not really take time to review and just delete all the posts of someone, when they really didn't do anything more than be a confrontational idiot (I confess, that might have been me).

 

anyway, if you do get an @<some numbertagged to you, that might or might not be a tell that your posts are all about to be deleted.

there is one anon who repeatedly spams the same kind of (hateful) content bread to bread, day to day, and that one always says 'oh board censors' his posts seem to always get deleted.

and said person put up a post with urls, off site, that had pdfs.

so I downloaded one that was purported to be a 'full bread, and all that was removed by BV's'

when I opened it in my pdf viewer it wasn't anything anyone could read. the file seemed to be error filled and useless.

that post, that pointed to those pdfs, was also removed that day too (I had screen captured it).

just make sure that if you save your content and want it for later review that if you do see that 'refresh' thing that they do, and you did get an @<some numberthat you save what you want to save before you refresh.

it is a good idea to refresh when gore or abomination is in the bread, and I applaud the BV for removing it.

and if your stuff does get removed , I want to say, by accident (or from a BV who is in a bad mood or angry because you posted a meme about them) then . . . well . . . that sucks. but it's not the end of the world

and now you know.

so someone or an AI tags a post that tells someone else 'review this posters posts' and a BV might just say 'I'll take their word' and just delete you (with out any reason, as per board rules).

and we, as anon, deal with it.

Saudi Arabia Transfers Nearly $78 Billion of Aramco Shares to Wealth Fund

 

Saudi Arabia has placed a second tranche of four percent of shares in energy giant Aramco, worth tens of billions of dollars, under the control of the country’s sovereign wealth fund, state media said on Sunday.

 

The move underscores Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s campaign to use the Gulf kingdom’s vast energy resources to open up the economy as part of his “Vision 2030” domestic reform program. Saudi Arabia’s official news agency said the shares had been transferred to Sanabil Investments, a company controlled by the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds with more than 620 billion. dollars of assets. The latest shares are worth nearly $80 billion, based on the current market capitalization of Aramco, one of the world’s most valuable companies. Sanabil’s investments “include venture capital, growth capital and small buyouts,” according to its website.

 

Aramco and its assets were once kept under the control of a vice-government, barred from outside investment. But under Prince Mohammed, the kingdom has shown a willingness to cede some of that control. The oil giant sold 1.7% of its shares on the Saudi stock exchange in December 2019, raising $29.4 billion in the world’s largest initial public offering. The company, which posted record profits of $161.1 billion last year, has pledged to achieve “net zero” carbon emissions by 2050.

 

This applies to emissions produced directly by Aramco’s industrial sites, but not to the CO2 produced when customers burn Saudi oil in their cars, power plants and furnaces. Aramco CEO Amin Nasser and other senior Saudi officials simultaneously called for new fossil fuel investments to ensure global energy security. The PIF has made prominent investments in companies such as Uber and Disney, and its so-called giga-projects – centerpieces of Prince Mohammed’s reform agenda – include Neom, a futuristic $500 billion megacity under construction in the Saudi desert.

 

The crown prince said he wants the fund to have $1 trillion in assets by the end of 2025.

A seemingly awkward video from California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s visit to the New College of Florida last week is making the rounds on social media.

 

Newsom’s behavior in the video – which shows the governor clapping along in silence as faculty members and students at the liberal arts college offer their rendition of the religious song “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” – garnered attention on social media, with some of his detractors pointing out the awkwardness of the situation during his visit to Sarasota.

 

Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing writer for City Journal, was quick to point out Newsom’s appearance and mannerisms during the video, insisting that he was acting like a “kindergartner” throughout.

 

“Gavin Newsom booked a room at a public library near New College of Florida, told the audience he was ‘crawling out of my skin for you guys,’ and clapped along to the music like a kindergartner at storytime,” Rufo wrote in a tweet, which was accompanied by the footage.

 

“Serious Patrick Bateman vibes,” Rufo added.

 

Other social media referred to Newsom’s behavior in the clip as “cringe.”

 

Responding to the video of Newsom, political podcaster James Lindsay wrote in a tweet: “That’s his only vibe.”

 

During his visit to the Sunshine State, Newsom took aim at Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis and other politicians for policies he believes negatively impact the American way of life.

Once upon a time there was no writing to leave information behind. For thousands of years people just spoke language and used stories to pass information down. Story telling is the primary way humans have been passing information and traditions down their generations for thousands of years before there was ever an alphabet. They got really good at it and when writing came along, their was already a very long set tradition of story telling which helped the content of the writings. Metaphoric, parabolic, mythological, theological writings then start to emerge as they writing down their stories and at the same time start recording history and use writing to educate people and keep accounts of all things like scientific measurements. In time with trial and error and observational science they were able to map out the days of the week and form the calendar, zodiac, and measure time and start a cycle of progression that has always been kept down by trying to stick to the original traditions made before much truth was discovered and made to be the practical way of modern times. If not for the tradition keeping in the first place there never would have been an intelligent progressive movement out of the foggy darkness of the deep ancient past of humanity. Hollywood movies are written in the same format as pretty much all the mythologies of ancient civilizations and the bible stories are written in and Jesus taught in that manner as well, story telling.

 

Take a look at the Enuma Elish written thousands of years ago and we can prove it because they carved it into stone. The Enuma Elish is the source for the first book in the bible Genesis. In Genesis there is the first account and then the second account. The first one copies the Enuma Elish on several points and then in the second account they continue on with the Sumerian myths write about the Annunaki and Nephilim and the Flood. It's all there.

 

We have been fooled about how old the bible is. It has been determined that it was written no older than 600 BC. Would you believe that? It can not be proven that the bible exists before that time, except when you read other ancient civilizations histories. Then you start to see similar things like the seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine. Former Indian MP Shot Dead on Live TV

Atiq Ahmed, a former member of the Indian Parliament, was shot and killed on live tv Saturday night. His brother was also killed during the attack.

 

Ahmed, previously convicted of kidnapping, was under police escort while speaking with reporters when shots were fired. Three men who had been posing as reporters were taken into custody.

 

His son was killed by police several days earlier.

 

BBC reports:

Dozens of cases, including kidnapping, murder and extortion, were registered against Atiq Ahmed over the past two decades. A local court sentenced him and two others to life in jail in March this year in a kidnapping case.

 

Ahmed had previously claimed there was a threat to his own life from the police.

 

Video showed Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, both in handcuffs, speaking to journalists on the way to a medical check-up at a hospital seconds before they were both shot.

 

In the footage, shared widely on social media and TV channels, Ahmed is asked whether he attended his son’s funeral.

 

His last words to camera are: “They did not take us, so we did not go.”

 

The three suspected assailants had arrived at the site on motorcycles, the police said. A policeman and a journalist were also injured at the scene.

 

Following Saturday night’s incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered a judicial probe into the killings and banned large gatherings in the districts of Uttar Pradesh state to ensure peace.

 

Experts have raised questions on how a man could be killed in front of the media and the police. BBC Hindi correspondent Anant Zanane reported from Prayagraj that the city was in a lockdown-like situation.

Biden Admin Approves Exports from Alaska LNG Project

WASHINGTON, April 14 (Reuters) – The Biden administration on Thursday approved exports of liquefied natural gas from the Alaska LNG project, a document showed, as the United States competes with Russia to ship natural gas from the Arctic to Asia.

 

The Department of Energy approved Alaska Gasline Development Corp’s (AGDC) project to export LNG to countries with which the United States does not have a free trade agreement.

 

Backers of the roughly $39 billion project expect it to be operational by 2030 if it gets all the required permits. The LNG would be exported mainly to countries in Asia.

 

Frank Richards, the president of Alaska-owned AGDC, said the company will review the 51-page decision as it develops the project, which will “provide Alaskans and U.S. allies with a significant source of low-emissions, responsibly produced energy consistent with international environmental priorities.”

 

Alaska LNG includes a liquefaction facility on the Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska and a proposed 807-mile (1,300-km) pipeline to move gas stranded in northern Alaska across the state.

 

The project, for which exports were first approved by the administration of Donald Trump, has been opposed by environmental groups. The Biden administration undertook an environmental review of Alaska LNG, concluding it has economic and international security benefits and that opponents had failed to show the exports were not in the “public interest.”

 

The Biden administration modified the previous approval to prohibit venting of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide associated with the project into the atmosphere.

 

Still, the decision was decried by environmental groups as a “carbon bomb.”

 

“Joe Biden’s climate presidency is flying off the rails,” said Lukas Ross at Friends of the Earth. Ross said it was the second U.S. approval of a “fossil fuel mega-project” in as many months.

 

Earthjustice, an environmental law firm, said the decision cleared the way for additional lawsuits seeking to stop the project.

 

The Biden administration last month approved the ConocoPhillips $7 billion Willow oil and gas drilling project on Alaska’s North Slope.

 

Russia plans to start at end-2023 the first of three lines at its Arctic LNG-2 project, which is among the world’s largest LNG facilities.

 

The Biden administration is trying to approve more U.S. LNG exports as it competes with Russia, traditionally one of the world’s largest energy exporters.

 

Russia is under pressure from Western sanctions for its invasion of Ukraine, and the U.S. has boosted LNG exports to Europe after Moscow cut gas pipeline shipments to the continent.

Poland, Hungary Ban Grain And Food Imports From Ukraine

WARSAW/BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Poland and Hungary have decided to ban imports of grain and other food from neighbouring Ukraine to protect the local agricultural sector, the two governments said on Saturday, after a flood of supply depressed prices across the region.

 

Ukraine expressed regret about the Polish decision, saying that “resolving various issues by unilateral drastic actions will not accelerate a positive resolution of the situation”.

 

After Russia’s invasion blocked some Black Sea ports, large quantities of Ukrainian grain, which is cheaper than that produced in the European Union, ended up staying in Central European states due to logistical bottlenecks, hitting prices and sales for local farmers.

 

In a letter to the European Commission last month, the prime ministers of five eastern European countries said the scale of the increase in products like grains, oilseeds, eggs, poultry and sugar had been “unprecedented”, and said tariffs on Ukrainian agricultural imports should potentially be considered.

 

The impact of the oversupply has created a political problem for Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS) in an election year, with the economy mired in stagflation.

 

“Today, the government has decided on a regulation that prohibits the entry, importation of grain into Poland, but also dozens of other types of food (from Ukraine),” PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski said during a party convention.

 

The list of these goods, which will range “from grain to honey products, very, very many things”, will be included in the government regulation, he added.

 

Ukraine’s ministry of agrarian policy and food said the Polish ban contradicted existing bilateral agreements on exports, and called for talks to settle the issue.

 

“We understand that Polish farmers are in a difficult situation, but we emphasize that Ukrainian farmers are in the most difficult situation right now,” it said in a statement.

 

Later on Saturday nationalist Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government joined the ban, saying the status quo would cause severe damage to local farmers.

 

Hungary did not give details on when its ban on grain and other food imports would go into effect, but said it will expire at the end of June.

 

Poland’s Kaczynski said: “We are and remain unchanged friends and allies of Ukraine. We will support her and we support her. … But it is the duty of every state, every authority, good authority in any case, to protect the interests of its citizens.”

 

Kaczynski said Poland was ready to start talks with Ukraine to settle the grain issue.

 

Hungary’s government said it hoped for changes in regulation at the EU level, including a re-thinking of the elimination of import duties on Ukrainian produce.
