you show a representation of sodium carbonate and of chlorate anion, and a separate screen cap of a retarded recipe to make salt water.

with the exception of alkali metals (Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) all carbonates are insoluble. mixing "dead sea salt" with sodium carbonate will precipitate the insoluble carbonates of all the minerals present in the sea salt. at first, they are so finely divided with occlude water, they float to the top. as the fine particles accrete into larger ones, they settle to the bottom. removing the precipitate effectively removes all the minerals present in the solution of sea salt, leaving ONLY sodium chloride, either excess sodium carbonate, or residual minerals, depending on whether you more sodium carbonate than needed, or less. a stupid waste of time and money that accomplishes NOTHING useful.
