Their argument is that you shouldn't have to give the state your ID to view their site. It's a nuanced debate, but that's the logic. Some other states are giving third party companies the job of fielding your driver's license to view adult sites. God knows where a person's information goes once they fork it over. Pornhub could've fixed this a long time ago by implementing their own verification system but they refused to do it because it would reduce traffic to the site, and cost them money. Stupid, stupid, stupid choice by Pornhub. People still supporting the industry are moving in droves to pay only sites with effective verification. The free hub sites are going to start drying up.
All this is helping to get it out of the hands of kids, and that's a good thing. Finding a way to keep speech/expression free and get it out of the hands of kids is going to right a lot of issues in society.
