Have you recently seen/heard/read of anything related to a serious and ‘necrotizing pneumonia’ the bacteria is actually in the ‘flesh eating bacteria’ family (hence, necrotizing). We have had two cases that I know of in the community that have hit two middle aged (early forties) healthy people. Regular cormidities (overweight, maybe pre diabetic, htn, hld, etc). It’s quick from what I know they end up intubated within a day, icu for weeks, needing ecmo, the works, one died quickly, one (an icu nurse) might have lived?
Just something concerning I’ve seen.
