US launches new 'ministry of truth'

 

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has set up a body to counter foreign ‘disinformation’

 

The US has established a Foreign Malign Influence Center to address foreign threats to elections as well as the “public opinion” within the country, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines revealed in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Thursday.

 

Operating under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FMIC has access to “all intelligence possessed or created pertaining to foreign malign information, including election security.” Its director, Jeffrey Wichman, was formerly chief of analysis for the CIA’s Counterintelligence Mission Center.

 

For the agency’s purposes, ‘foreign’ means originating in Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, or “any other foreign country that the Director of the Center” deems appropriate, while ‘foreign malign influence’ is defined as “any hostile effort undertaken by, or at the direction of, or on behalf of or with the substantial support of,” one of the named countries in order to influence, covertly or overtly, US government or state policy or the “public opinion within the United States.”

 

While the FMIC was apparently founded in September at the behest of recent legislation, Thursday’s hearing was the first public mention of its existence. Its establishment was controversial, as some senators and intelligence officers questioned the need for another agency with the same remit as the Global Engagement Center, the State Department subsidiary tasked with disseminating American propaganda to fight the foreign variety.

 

Haines addressed some of those concerns in Thursday’s hearing, insisting the FMIC was working to “support the Global Engagement Center and others throughout the US government in helping them to understand what are the plans and intentions of the key actors in this space: China, Russia, Iran, etc.”

 

Countering ‘foreign disinformation’ has become something of an obsession for government bureaucrats since the 2016 election of Donald Trump, with half a dozen agencies springing up since then. In addition to the GEC, launched in 2017, the Pentagon quietly launched an Influence and Perception Management Office last year, joining the Department of Homeland Security’s Foreign Influence and Interference Branch, Countering Foreign Influence Task Force, and the ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board, as well as the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force.

 

However, Pentagon contractor RAND Corporation recently acknowledged Russia’s role is probably overstated. The think tank warned in a study conducted last year that blaming Moscow for all information Washington doesn’t like is likely to backfire, urging the Defense Department to reduce “overattribution of disinformation on social media to Russia.”

 

“Pointing the finger at Russia in every instance of activity on social media resembling Russian interference distorts the understanding of the threat,” the report stated.

CIA involved in JFK’s murder – Robert Kennedy Jr

 

US presidential candidate said the agency’s culpability in his uncle's murder was “beyond a reasonable doubt”

 

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has alleged that the CIA was behind the assassination of his uncle, US President John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963, and likely involved in the murder of his father, US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, who was shot dead in 1968.

 

Speaking during an interview with WABC radio host John Catsimatidis on Sunday, Kennedy Jr. said “There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in [JFK's] murder,” describing it as “beyond a reasonable doubt at this point.”

 

“The evidence is overwhelming that the CIA was involved in the murder, and the coverup,” the candidate continued, describing efforts to discredit this theory as a “60-year coverup.” Kennedy cited the book “JFK and the Unspeakable” by James Douglas as the best compilation of evidence on the subject, though dozens if not hundreds of works have been written about the assassination and the CIA’s alleged role.

 

The official US government explanation, published as the Warren Commission report the following year, holds that US Marine veteran Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in shooting the president while his motorcade was passing through Dallas on November 22, 1963.

 

Oswald was famously murdered before he could stand trial, though he managed to tell journalists he was “just a patsy” shortly after his arrest. The alleged lone gunman was shot dead by nightclub owner Jack Ruby (real name Jacob Rubinstein) while being transported from Dallas Police Headquarters to the county jail.

 

Speaking to Catsimatidis, Kennedy added that there was “very convincing but circumstantial” evidence the CIA was involved in the 1968 assassination of his father, Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy. He described the official story of the assassination, which was pinned on Palestinian horse groomer Sirhan Sirhan, as physically impossible, arguing Thane Eugene Cesar, a security guard at the hotel who was concurrently employed by military contractor Lockheed, had actually fired the shots that killed Kennedy.

 

Four years after JFK’s murder, nearly half of the American public did not believe that Oswald had acted alone. The CIA was concerned enough about this fact that it issued a directive in 1967 on how to discredit the so-called “conspiracy theorists” questioning the conclusions of the Warren Commission. Modern use of the term “conspiracy theorist” as a pejorative is often traced back to this 1967 memo.

The Western military bloc is reportedly opening its first office in Japan as the US pushes ‘bloc confrontation’ politics into the region

 

Japan is reportedly planning to open a NATO liaison office in Tokyo. The office will be the first of its kind in Asia, and is designated to “coordinate” with the alliance on security matters, and on the issue of China.

 

It is no secret that the US seeks to expand and institutionalize the military alliance into Asia and place its footprint on a global scale, a notion that has been encouraged by the conflict in Ukraine, and called for by many senior Western figures. This shows that the organization has long discarded its original purpose, and has become a tool of hegemony and domination, far from the so-called ‘defensive’ alliance that it once claimed to be, over one specific geographic area of the globe.

 

The administration of US President Joe Biden is arguably the most militarily aggressive US presidency in decades, even more so than the George W. Bush presidency given the circumstances. Biden has ramped up tensions with larger powers, as opposed to merely conducting smaller regime change operations after the horrors of 9/11. In doing so, Biden has aggressively sought to expand alliances such as NATO, creating new mechanisms such as AUKUS, brought Europe to the brink of war with Russia, and is going to place new nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula. While the previous president, Donald Trump, sought to downsize NATO and make it more financially self-reliant, the Biden administration is unapologetically attempting to ‘globalize’ it.

 

NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was once designed as a mechanism for collective regional self-defence amongst a fragile post-World War II Western Europe, which was equal in power to the Warsaw Pact. Following the end of the Cold War, after the US became the undisputed hegemon, NATO was transformed from a mere balance-of-power-focused military alliance into a tool for enforcing American interests and security objectives. In doing so, the US sought to transition the alliance into a ‘permanent order of things’ and betrayed promises to post-Soviet Russia that it would not expand it eastwards.

 

But now, as the US increasingly sees China as its largest adversary, it wants to ‘globalize’ NATO into Asia and interlock it with existing US alliances in the region, including Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Australia. Traditionally, the US has only ever pursued these alliances on a ‘bilateral scale’, this has typically been more manageable to US interests as Asian nations do not operate on the same universality as Western European countries, and are more fraught with nationalist conflict. For example, South Korea has little political space to cooperate with Japan. Although President Yoon Suk-yeol is attempting to do so, his ratings are sliding thanks to his perceived capitulation to Tokyo.

Covid can never be eradicated – WHO

 

Despite proclaiming the end of the pandemic, the World Health Organization has said that it will be “impossible” to eliminate the virus itself

 

Covid-19 will never be eliminated or eradicated, as it can jump from humans to animals and back, World Health Organization emergency director Dr. Mike Ryan told reporters on Saturday.

 

Speaking a day after WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus officially downgraded the status of the disease from a global health emergency to a “global health threat,” Ryan stressed that public health authorities still need to be “vigilant.”

 

Asked whether the virus itself would ever be eliminated, Ryan replied “no, I don’t believe so.”

 

“What we see here is a virus that's evolved quickly,” he elaborated. “It can move from humans to animals and from animals to humans, so it can hide in different spaces…not just in humans. It’s very hard to think about an eradication or elimination.”

 

Ryan added that vaccines and therapeutic drugs can eliminate “the public health threat associated with the virus,” but that wiping out the virus itself would be “very unlikely, if not impossible.”

 

The WHO has largely stuck to this line throughout the pandemic, even as vaccine proponents claimed that the jabs would stop the transmission of Covid-19, which turned out not to be true. “In the current situation it is unlikely we can eradicate this virus,” Ryan told a briefing in May 2020, four months after the WHO first declared the virus a public health emergency.

 

Ryan said on Saturday that he expects infections to continue to spike every winter in the northern hemisphere, much like the flu or any other seasonal illness. However, he did not rule out the possibility that new variants of the virus may crop up during the summer “and cause a lot of transmission.”

 

While most countries have dropped their pandemic control measures since early last year, the US still has a public health emergency in effect, which is not due to expire until next week. More than 1.1 million people died having Covid-19 in the US, more than in any other country, according to WHO statistics.

 

Globally, more than 765 million cases of Covid-19 have been recorded, and almost 7 million people have died while infected, the WHO claims. As of the end of April, a total of 13 billion vaccine doses have been administered.

Fire at gold mine in Arequipa, Peru leaves 27 dead

A fire at a gold mine in the southern part of Peru killed at least 27 people, authorities reported on Sunday.

 

Preliminary information suggests a short circuit set off an explosion late Friday or early Saturday at the SERMIGOLD mine in Arequipa's Yanaquihua district, local outlets reported. It took place approximately 330 feet below the surface.

 

Peruvian authorities said the explosion trapped the miners inside. Its official cause remains under investigation.

 

"During the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office will determine the cause of the tragic event and the responsibilities of those involved," the Public Ministry of Arequipa’s Fiscal District said.

 

The Yanaquihua mining company, which operates in the mine, said 175 workers were safely evacuated, but 27 contractors were dead.

 

Government officials said relatives of the victims were brought by buses to the entrance of the mine, where they waited for the bodies of their loved ones.

IAEA issues warning over Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant

A potential disaster at the Zaporozhye facility must be prevented, the international watchdog’s head has said

 

The situation around Russia’s Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, which sits close to the frontline with Ukraine, is becoming more dangerous, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi warned on Saturday. The statement came as Kiev prepares to launch a counteroffensive, and the regional authorities begin the partial evacuation of cities close to the conflict zone.

 

In a statement on the IAEA’s website, Grossi said the situation in the area near the facility was “becoming increasingly unpredictable and potentially dangerous.”

 

“I’m extremely concerned about the very real nuclear safety and security risks facing the plant.We must act now to prevent the threatof a severe nuclear accident and its associated consequences for the population and the environment,” he added, urging to protect Europe’s biggest nuclear site.

 

Grossi said the IAEA team posted to oversee the plant was monitoring the evacuation from the nearby city of Energodar that was announced on Friday. Acting Governor Evgeny Balitsky said children, the elderly, hospital patients and other vulnerable groups would be relocateddue to the “increased shelling” by Ukrainiantroops.

 

The plant’s director, Yury Chernichuk, said on Friday thatall reactors were shut downand the personnel were “doing everything to ensure nuclear safety.”

 

Energodar Mayor Eduard Senovoz said the relocation was going as planned and there was “no panic” in the city.

 

The ZNPP came under Russian control in the wake of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine launched in February 2022. Zaporozhye Region became part of Russia after holding a referendum in September.

 

Moscow and Kiev have accused each other of shelling the plant and voiced concerns that each other’s actions could trigger a nuclear disaster. Last month, The Times reported thatUkrainian troops had tried unsuccessfully to recapture the ZNPP in October 2022. Kiev has not confirmed that this attempt took place.

 

On Friday, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said that its operatives had arrested Ukrainian agents who were allegedly planning to kill an unnamed high-ranking ZNPP official. Renat Karchaa, a top adviser at Rosenergoatom, Russia’s national operator of nuclear power plants, told RT that Ukraine alone was not capable of such “terrorist” plots. He argued that “the scenario and targets are chosen by their Western partners.”

Daniel Penny reportedly held Jordan Neely, a mentally ill homeless man, in a headlock that caused his death. Protesters are demanding Penny’s arrest although he was protecting other passengers on the subway who felt threatened. Man Charged With Hate Crime After Allegedly Shooting Two Men Because They Were White

 

Tulsa, Oklahoma: Carlton Gilford, a homeless man, allegedly shot two men in the back of the head at two separate locations on April 18 and authorities are calling it a racially motivated hate crime. Lundin Hathcock, 35, was shot around 9:40 a.m. at the Rudisill Library, and James McDaniel, 55, was shot at a QuikTrip convenience store. Gilford was charged with two counts of shooting with intent to kill, and one count of malicious intimidation or harassment, which is Oklahoma’s version of a hate crime. He is being held without bond and is expected to appear in court on June 23.

Here is a high-level review of the manufacturing contracts between US DOD and Moderna.

 

Moderna’s injection, mRNA-1273 is co-owned with the US Government, as the company has been funded by the defense research grants for years and also received intellectual property transfers from the US Government, in addition to preclinical and clinical research work conducted for Moderna by the NIH Vaccine Research Center. Have you recently seen/heard/read of anything related to a serious and ‘necrotizing pneumonia’ the bacteria is actually in the ‘flesh eating bacteria’ family (hence, necrotizing). We have had two cases that I know of in the community that have hit two middle aged (early forties) healthy people. Regular cormidities (overweight, maybe pre diabetic, htn, hld, etc). It’s quick from what I know they end up intubated within a day, icu for weeks, needing ecmo, the works, one died quickly, one (an icu nurse) might have lived?

Just something concerning I’ve seen.

Elon Musk Couldn’t Fix Twitter Even If He Wanted To

 

It’s time to acknowledge that Twitter is not improving in any significant way under Elon Musk. Despite the CEO’s alleged commitment to freedom of speech and his flirtation with center-right circles online, the platform’s algorithm routinely clamps down on politically and culturally conservative individuals, preventing users from reaching their existing audience or gaining potential new followers.

 

Perhaps Musk ought to temporarily take the platform offline while devs rework the algorithm into something more, for lack of a better term, equitable that doesn’t include visibility filters and niceness factors or boosts corresponding to the number of exclamation points used. But what are the odds this could even be achieved? Despite being the owner and CEO of Twitter, Musk does not run the company.

 

Immediately following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, I noted, in these pages, that the individuals composing the managerial elite — the over-credentialed, entrenched midwits who run every major institution in the country, the Yoel Roths and Ella Irwins — are still a dominant force in American civic life and Musk’s acquisition of Twitter wouldn’t change that. Rather, it couldn’t change that.

 

In the early 1940s, James Burnham published The Managerial Revolution, in which he observed Western society was moving away from a traditional capitalist system, in the interwar period, to one more reliant upon engineers, scientists, technocrats, and other credentialed intermediaries who act as regulatory agents to direct production. Burnham characterized this demographic as having subject matter expertise due to attaining merit-based credentials through graduating high school and participating in higher education.

 

Burnham argued that this new managerial class was becoming more and more powerful and would soon replace farmers, business owners, and entrepreneurs as the dominant economic class in society. He also forecasted that this group would become increasingly aspirational and seek to attain political power, which it would use to govern as unaccountable authoritarians because they had the skills to navigate the complex systems of government.

 

Years later, toward the end of the 20th century, noticing Burnham’s prediction had come true, paleoconservatives would echo his concerns — Pat Buchanan’s speech at the 1992 Republican Convention is one such example. They argued the managerial elite were unaccountable and did not share the priorities of the rest of the nation, and in the process of entrenching themselves in positions of power in business and government, they had displaced the traditional elite who were properly philosophically oriented.

 

This phenomenon, originally written about by Burnham over eight decades ago, has only spiraled further out of control.

 

Think of the “Twitter Files,” Hamilton 68, the Russia-collusion hoax, the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and how desperately the government and its allies in the corporate media still try to gaslight the public about Jan. 6, 2021. These events changed the course of American history and irreversibly damaged the reputability of many public institutions, and for each to occur, they relied upon a compliant managerial elite.

 

The managerial elite intersects with all levels of government and corporate America. These are the people who actually run the country; they control the flow of information, material goods, and financial resources for everyone, and they are extremely ideologically motivated.

 

Even after massive layoffs and open-sourcing the algorithm, things still go awry. If fixing Twitter solely required writing lines of code, it’s reasonable to believe Musk could assemble the personnel to accomplish that task.

 

Is it really that hard to believe the managerial elite might be trying to sabotage the Dogecoin guy?

President Joe Biden’s border chief says he can’t explain why hundreds of thousands of migrants are rushing over the border he is tasked to guard.

 

“Can you explain why you’ve seen this big surge [of migrants] in the last couple of weeks?” border chief Alejandro Mayorkas was asked on Friday, just six days before he lifts the Title 42 border barrier.

 

“It’s very difficult to identify the cause,” the pro-migration border chief responded to the reporter.

 

However, a Venezuelan migrant named Daniel told the May 7 New York Times why he and many other Venezuelans are sneaking into the United States: “We just want to work.”

 

“The goal was to provide for the children a quality life and educational opportunities,” Venezuelan Abel Oviedo told TexasTribune.org. He had settled in Colombia, and then moved to Peru, but started his family’s migration in late 2022. “I’m a hard worker,” Oviedo said.

 

Mayorkas’ claimed ignorance even though his agency has a 2023 budget of $175 billion. He works with intelligence and police agencies in the world’s superpower and is free to read the explanation by migrants such as Daniel and Oviedo, or by U.S. and foreign governments, media, academics, and businesses.

 

Mayorkas’ migration has killed at least 1,000 migrants and has imposed vast civic and economic burdens on Americans and their local governments. Those Mayorkas-imposed burdens include lower living standards, more civic chaos, and a tougher future for American kids.

After claiming ignorance in response to the reporter’s question, Mayorkas then released a jumbled string of words, similar to the “bafflegab” language used by British politicians:

 

You know the challenge of migration is in one aspect, its dynamism. It is a very complex phenomenon. We saw the tragic fire in the city of Juarez in Mexico and the impact domestically within Mexico. And since then we saw, over the past two weeks, a significant surge of Venezuelans. We are we have reached an agreement with the government of Mexico to address that surge and we’re going to see the results of that agreement very shortly.

 

Mayorkas frequently deflects questions about his pro-migration policies by claiming “fundamentally, we are working within a broken immigration system.”

 

Mayorkas’ “broken … system” excuse was swatted down on May 6 by Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX):

 

Just saying that the system is broken is an easy way to not [do] what we need to do at the border and working with other people, other countries like Mexico, Guatemala, and other folks that want to work with [us]. I agree, I support immigration reform. But just to say “the system is broken” is an easy way out to not doing what we need to do at the border, and that is provide law and order at the border and still respect the dignity of the immigrants that have legitimate, I emphasize, legitimate claims.

 

The New York Times followed the same bafflegab strategy in its May 7 report on the border flood. The paper relied on passive-voice statements to downplay Biden’s responsibility for removing President Donald Trump’s pro-U.S. policies, including the Title 42 border barrier:

 

That question is at the heart of a monumental challenge with a grim history. When the pandemic-inspired restrictions end, border officials will resume an immigration system that has largely failed for decades, but with the added pressure of three years of pent-up demand. About 35,000 migrants are amassed in Ciudad Juárez, another 15,000 in Tijuana and thousands more elsewhere on the Mexican side of the 2,000-mile-long border.

 

U.S. border officials are preparing for the surge by making it easier for economic migrants can get through the border, the newspaper admitted:

 

White House officials said they have worked for months to prepare for a likely surge …. [and] have also taken steps to encourage a more orderly flow of migration.

 

Mayorkas and his deputies are worried that border agents will not be able to complete the catch-and-release paperwork amid the growing crush of migrants, according to a May 5 report by NBC:

 

The concern, the Border Patrol official said, is the time it will take to process migrants when Title 42 goes away. Rather than one agent processing and sending 40 migrants back to Mexico under Title 42 in five minutes, it will take one agent 30 minutes to an hour to process just one migrant and determine where he or she will go next, the official said.

 

Agency officials, the NBC reported added, “have been touting the sector’s recent success in processing migrants quickly” for release to take Americans’ jobs and housing.

He said his border management is “all about achieving equity, which is really the core founding principle of our country.” Mayorkas’ demands imply equity between U.S. citizens and foreign citizens, and he has opened many loopholes for millions of economic migrants to cross into the United States.

We look to our partner to the north that has a much more nimble immigration system that can be retooled to the needs at the moment. For example, Canada is in need of 1 million workers and they have agreed that in 2023, they will admit 1.4 million … immigrants to fill that labor need that Canadians themselves cannot. We are stuck in antiquated laws that do not meet our current needs. And they haven’t been working for many, many years.

The tweet deserved all the hate it got, too. No other president or politician in recent memory has been so misleading on his history of job creation. After the Democrats helped destroy the economy, all Joe Biden had to do was let things return to normal, and as quickly as possible.

 

This shouldn’t have been a difficult task. Literally, all that needed to be done was to go back to status quo ante. Instead, Biden hasn’t been particularly good at this, producing numerous disappointing jobs reports and lackluster economic growth.

 

And now, Biden wants to tout the great job he’s done — despite rampant inflation, a significant chance of a recession in the next year and a cooling job market.

The opinion piece, authored by Stephanie Feldstein, points to the U.N. predicting dozens of countries will have shrinking populations by 2050 as “good news.”

 

Less people require less feeding and less energy, the piece maintains, further declaring “we should all be celebrating population decline.”

 

The premise is further enhanced by the claim the planet is suffering from overpopulation that diminishes wildlife habitats and ecosystems as human impact has a deleterious effect on everything around it. The essay states:

 

The loss of biodiversity is tragic in itself. A world without elephants, hellbender salamanders and the million other species at risk of extinction in the coming decades would be deeply impoverished. Wild plants and animals enrich our lives and hold vital ecosystems together. The fresh water we need to survive, the plants we rely on for food and medicine, and the forests we depend on for clean air and carbon sequestration are all the product of complex interactions between life-forms ranging from microbes and pollinators to carnivores and scavengers.

 

When even a single thread is pulled from that tapestry, the entire system can unravel.

 

Ultimately the opinion piece, written by the “population and sustainability director at the Center for Biological Diversity, ” states, “Population decline is only a threat to an economy based on growth. Shifting to a model based on degrowth and equity alongside lower fertility rates will help fight climate change and increase wealth and well-being.”

 

Humans therefore must choose between population growth and the survival of the planet, the essay posits, repeating previous claims that “declining populations and ageing demographics” help governments meet climate change goals:

 

“We also need to bring together the reproductive rights and gender equity movements, and the environmental movement. Environmental toxicity, reproductive health and wildlife protection are deeply intertwined. Pollution, climate change and degraded ecosystems harm pregnant people, fetuses and children, and make it difficult to raise safe and healthy families,” the essay further states.

 

The author points to recent globalist forecasts for the planet and climate as a further driver for limiting human population growth.

 

[…] we need what the United Nations’ most recent climate and biodiversity reports drive home, and conservationists, climate scientists and policy makers have demanded for decades: a rapid, just transition to renewable energy and sustainable food systems and a global commitment to halting human-caused extinctions now.

 

Population stabilization and decline will inevitably be achieved by centering human rights. Policy makers must guarantee bodily autonomy and access to reproductive health care, gender equity, and women and girls’ education.

 

Ultimately the essay delivers a plea to address “the crises in front of us” with everyone deciding “if and when to have children, and planning for population decline, we can choose a future of sustainable abundance.”

 

The essay is the second time in less than 12 months globalist urging for a decline in the human population has been heard.

 

As Breitbart News reported, Yuval Noah Harari, historian, futurist, and World Economic Forum (WEF) adviser, said last August, “We just don’t need the vast majority of the population” in the early 21st century given modern technologies’ rendering human labor economically and militarily “redundant.”

 

He assessed widespread contemporary disillusionment among “common people” as being rooted in a fear of being “left behind” in a future run by “smart people.”

 

Such fears are justified, he added, given his projection that emerging technologies will displace economic needs to many categories of existing work. With the triumph of those machines, the need for humans and their labor diminishes.

The proposal may receive some pushback at the Brussels level as well, with European Commission having the final say on matters of state subsidies and some countries within the bloc likely to oppose the move given that it would create an unfair competitive advantage over their own domestic industries.

 

Some have blamed the need for business subsidies on the German government’s longstanding push to try to shift to so-called green sources of energy such as wind and solar, a policy that was exposed last year when the country suffered under rampant inflation, people and businesses forced to ration their energy usage, and tens of billions of euros being wiped from the German economy.

 

In order to make up for the shortcomings of the allegedly renewable forms of energy over the past decade, Germany increasingly relied on natural gas imported from Russia, despite warnings from some including former President Donald Trump that Berlin would become a “captive” of Moscow.

 

Stunningly, even after gas imports dried up following the invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions from the West on Russia, Chancellor Olaf Scholz followed through with plans from his predecessor, Angela Merkel, to shut down the country’s remaining nuclear power stations.

 

Commenting on the effective bailout for the green failures, assistant professor of international relations at Webster Vienna Private University, Ralph G. Schoellhammer wrote on social media: “Who am I to advise the German Chancellor, but maybe they should have discussed this BEFORE shutting down their entire nuclear fleet.

In April Fox News reached a settlement with Dominion Voting Systems on the first day of the trial.

 

“The parties have resolved their case,” Delaware Superior Court judge Eric Davis told the court Tuesday afternoon.

Now FOX News is threatening to kill the deal after the Tucker Carlson videos were released to the public.

Fox News demanded that Dominion Voting Systems conduct an internal investigation to determine whether it was responsible for the leak of damning text messages sent by former anchor Tucker Carlson.

 

Recently, Fox wrote Dominion saying evidence documents it provided to the company during recent litigation had been ‘disclosed to media organizations and published for mass consumption.’

 

Fox asked Dominion to launch an internal probe to ‘investigate and confirm that you are not the source of these improper disclosures.’ The outlet wrote that if Dominion were behind the leak, it would violate ‘the text and spirit of the parties agreement,’ according to The Hill.

 

In April, Fox agreed to pay Dominion a $787 million defamation settlement over false claims the outlet pushed about the integrity of the company’s voting machines during the 2020 presidential election.

 

Some of Carlson’s messages provided to Dominion during legal proceedings had previously been released, but since the settlement was announced, a number of unreleased and redacted messages – were leaked to the media.

 

Those messages included Carlson telling a producer that a video of three people attacking a victim around January 6, 2021, were not ‘how white men fight.’

 

Another leak included texts showing Carlson had used the ‘C-word’ to refer to a colleague.
