Funny enough, I think this has more to do with transgenders than homosexuals.
I used to get compensated for donating plasma; I remember one of the rules was that you were disqualified if you were a “man who ever had sex with a man.”
A while back, I thought about giving more plasma, and I looked at the reviews for a place nearby. There was a searing review from a transgender woman, who said he was misgendered multiple times at the facility and that he was not allowed to donate.
