Irked by Congress' failure to enact the gun control laws he favors, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is proposing a "28th Amendment" that would "permanently enshrine" those policies in the U.S. Constitution. This transparently partisan publicity stunt is wholly impractical and raises more questions than it answers. But Newsom's pitch for it nicely illustrates the dishonesty, emotionalism, divisive rhetoric, illogic, and magical thinking of politicians who promise that their half-baked gun control schemes will rescue America from fear of deadly violence.

Tucker Carlson dropped the second episode of his new “Tucker on Twitter” series on Thursday and it was molten hot as the former Fox News host discussed the altering of the nation’s “taboos” so that racism and even pedophilia have now become permissible. Carlson’s latest video on the social media platform came after his former employer accused him of breaching his contract with the conservative network after the first installment drew over 100 million views, although the sequel may struggle to crack the same number due to it coming on the same night that the federal indictment of former President Donald J. Trump was announced.

Maricopa County’s ballot printer source, OKI Data Americas, recently responded to the County’s sham ballot printer investigation, debunking false claims and demanding a corrected report from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. According to OKI’s statement, Maricopa County did not even contact the company, and they were “completely unaware that an investigation was underway.” The Gateway Pundit reported on Maricopa County’s Ballot-on-Demand Printer Investigation led by former Arizona Supreme Court Justice Ruth McGregor. As The Gateway Pundit reported, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell later called for consequences for the stolen Maricopa County Midterm Election and the “cover-up” investigation by election officials.

Special Counsel Jack Smith officially indicted former President Donald Trump on Thursday for his retention of presidential documents following his departure from the White House. The Attorney General Merrick Garland appointee was hard-pressed to cook up charges but somehow still confirmed Americans’ widely held suspicions that this is just a continuation of the deep state’s ploy to get Trump, which started with the Russia collusion hoax in 2016. “Today’s act of open legal ‘warfare’ by the highly politicized and partisan Department of Injustice, has taken things to a new level, and set a dangerous precedent,” the Trump campaign said in a statement on Thursday night.
