Nottingham incident LIVE: Terror police storm home on street where 2 were killed
Armed police have been seen smashing down a door and forcing their way into a home in Nottingham on the street where two people died during a horrific knife and van rampage early this morning. A total of three people were killed with another three being left in hospital after being mown down. Nottinghamshire Police declared a "major" incident and have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
Nottinghamshire Police Chief Constable Kate Meynell confirmed the Counter Terrorism force is involved in the investigation.
Police are keeping an "open mind" over the motive behind the attack that shook Nottingham in the early hours of Tuesday, a new statement said.
A team of dedicated detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attacks, Nottinghamshire Police explained.
The chief constable said in the latest update into the probe: "This is a tragic series of events which has led to the lives of three innocent people being taken and left another member of the public in a critical condition in hospital.
