On Saturday Micki Witthoeft, the mother of Ashli Babbitt, and members of Look Ahead America attended the annual Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference in Washington DC.

Micki and fellow members attended the event to ask the candidates what would they do if they were president to free January 6 political prisoners.

The J6 Presidential Challenge question was launched by Look Ahead America to ask each presidential candidate how they would handle the January 6 political prisoners.

Colorado LGBTQ+ nightclub shooter pleads guilty to five murder charges

Aldrich also pleaded guilty to 46 attempted murder charges and two bias-motivated crime charges.

The gunman in the mass shooting at an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, last year pleaded guilty Monday to five murder charges.

Anderson Lee Aldrich, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they and them pronouns, faces life in prison on the charges as part of the agreement with prosecutors, The Associated Press reported. 

Aldrich also pleaded guilty to 46 attempted murder charges and two bias-motivated crime charges. Aldrich originally faced more than 300 counts in the case.

The Justice Department is reportedly considering pressing federal hate crime charges against Aldrich, a senior official familiar with the case told the wire service. 

The FBI knew that the suspect posed a potential security threat before Aldrich opened fire in Club Q last November. Aldrich was tackled by patrons and subdued the suspect until police arrived, witnesses said.

Fyodor Lukyanov: Why Russia cannot ‘sober up the West’ by using a nuclear bomb

The nuclear weapons taboo is undoubtedly weakening, but Moscow shouldn’t be the first to break it

Professor Sergey Karaganov’s “Tough-but-necessary decision” article – which claims that by using its nuclear weapons, Russia could save humanity from a global catastrophe – has provoked plenty of reaction both at home and abroad. This is partly due to the author’s status – he has been an adviser to both President Boris Yeltsin and President Vladimir Putin – and also because of the belief that his opinion may possibly be shared by some people in positions of power. 

Fyodor Lukyanov, widely regarded as Russia’s top contemporary foreign policy expert, provides his response.

Public debate on the permissibility of using atomic bombs has been taboo since the United States dropped two on Japan. The consequences of those attacks are well known.  

Relations between the nuclear superpowers in the last century were based on the assumption that any use would lead to all-out war and the destruction of civilization. The certainty of the inevitability of such a scenario and the fear of its realization meant that atomic bombs were not considered to be battlefield weapons.
