my own anecdotal experience:

when i started working back in late 80's, it was pretty much all white men in the office

not long before i retired in 2018, noticed i was the only man in an office of about 25, the rest were women, mostly white, and they still complaining about being mistreated

worked with blacks and hispanics over the years, 2 of the best managers i ever had were black

always checked the white box because everyone always treated me as a white man
