Okay its wikipedia, but never the less, the story of Joan of Arc is compelling. Something for a lot of people to criticize, yet she's considered a patron saint of France, apparently.

"College interns" is a big problem. Not sure how much medical and "Big Pharma" science is done in this manner, but anon thinks it is a lot.
