<rant - ignore this>

I've been a professional game dev for 10+ years. Completely self taught and sheltered from the learning institutions. And I'm a damn good dev too.

It started here, or rather it actually started in the Atheist community but as many devs are atheists it quickly spread to here.

I saw the writing on the wall when Anita Sarkeesian published her "Women in Videogames" series. I saw the social Marxism coming. I had already seen it destroy the Atheist movement (Atheist+ if any of you remember, I don't assume this to be the right crowd though) and I knew it would destroy the gaming industry too. And it did.

But there is too much money behind the industry, they won't let it die. And it also serves a perfect vehicle for indoctrinating the next generation so why would they kneecap themselves?

I managed to stay afloat this long, way longer than I expected actually.

But today… today I was finally in the crosshairs. I have been officially cancelled for making a stupid joke that I still don't see how could offend anyone…

It's not like I'm banned from the industry just yet - but in the right circles in the upper echelons I will forever be known as a pariah.

And these circles are the ones who decide if I can move up in the industry even if I decide (which has always been the plan) to branch out and start my own.

They think they can destroy me, but they will only strengthen my resolve.
