Is something that has already been proposed by President Trump's Agenda 47. I don't disagree with it, but parents also need to be having talks with their kids and generally being involved in their rearing. Louisiana went full CCP whereas Utah has the right idea as to what to do about free speech especially as it pertains to adult entertainment.

>my reservation: the tendency to blame the net for a lot of bad things can be used as justification for censoring any kind of "bad influence" on children (and it won't just be pron that will be delimited). the old bugaboo was TV, and before that, radio. Bet cheezy novels got stomped on too in their day; waltzing was definitely frowned up by curmuggeons in the 1830s.

THIS. It shouldn't be the government's responsibility nor should they take it upon themselves to play parent. That's the parents' job. Conservatives want to rant and rave about how they are fighting for free speech, and they were done injustices in the past, yes. But that doesn't mean they get to return the favor in the form of "things we don't like aren't really free speech". Censorship, any and all forms of it, is abhorrent in a free society, but age-appropriate lanes should be a thing.
