That phrase originated and started being pushed heavily during the reign of terror from May 2021 until Jan. of 2022, most likely to co-opt the message to their own, like being in a stadium and doing the wave and not knowing why. Dune 4 done. Hmm… I can understand why leftists put it on a pedestal. Leto's Golden Path is the ideological opposite of the Emperor of Mankind's Imperial Truth. It was moar an exploration of narcissism and hubris than self-sacrifice for the species. Makes me also think the Herbert was in the middle of a love triangle when he wrote that book. Oh, and I can definitely see how this book influenced future writers and their works. I think I'll start Dune 5 later tonight.
