The Lone Star tick can cause humans to have an allergy to beef. College of Global Public Health Center for Bioethics at New York University Director Dr. Matthew Liao was recorded on video at the World Science Festival in 2016 proposing to create a red meat allergy using the algha-gal molecule found in the Lone Star tick. He said, “People eat too much meat. And if they were to cut down on their consumption on meat, then it would actually really help the planet.” He added, “For example, I have a milk intolerance. And some people are intolerant to crayfish. So possibly we can use human engineering to make the case that we’re intolerant to certain kinds of meat, to certain kinds of bovine proteins…”

Sanctuary State New York: Second Migrant Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Woman in Hotel Room

Kindu Jeancy, a 22-year-old migrant from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who crossed the US-Mexico border, has been arrested and charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and one count of second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor. Jeancy is the second migrant to be accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Erie County, New York, and local officials are demanding that New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) stop sending migrants to the region. Earlier this month, Jesus D. Guzman Bermudez, a 26-year-old border crosser from Venezuela, was arrested for allegedly raping a woman in the same hotel in front of a three-year-old toddler.

Maui Fires: Media Blames Climate Change as Internet Speculates about Directed Energy Weapons

Fires broke out on the island of Maui, Hawaii on August 8, 2023. The official death toll stands at 99 people, but only 25% of the burn area has been searched. More than 2,200 structures have been destroyed or damaged by the fires – about 86% of them residential.
