Hurricane Hilary Heading to SoCal

Just was on NHC and their update has SoCal in the path.

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#Hilary

Just ran the ECMWF model on: https://www.windy.com/?32.325,-118.793,6

and this model has a direct impact on Los Angeles, CA at around 0400 on Monday 082123.

NHC has put up a tropical storm watch in SoCal and hurricane watches and warning in Baja.

Some smuggling tunnels are about to get flushed.

Los Angeles area needs to take this seriously.

I just ran two of the better models, ECMWF and GFS and both had the storm remaining over water and coming on land in Los Angeles, CA. The only difference really was ECMWF had it coming into LA from the ocean around 0100 ~ 0400 and the GFS around 1000 on Monday, August 21.

Speaking from vast Floridian experience, the time to prepare is NOW. Once the winds and rains start, everything gets massively harder and more dangerous.

It may be only a tropical storm then, but those tear up plenty. If it stays overwater and remains a hurricane, a strike on LA would be bad.
