Three More Hunter Biden Attorneys Quit, Bringing Total To Five

Three more of Hunter Biden's attorneys have filed a motion to withdraw from his ongoing case, after a Delaware judge dismissed his two tax misdemeanors without prejudice at the request of DOJ prosecutors - a move which will allow for the possibility of charging Biden in Washington DC or the Central District of California.

Mrian C. McManus Timothy H. McCarten and Matthew S. Salerno of Latham & Watkins LLP filed a motion to withdraw as counsel following US District Judge Maryellen Noreika's decision to grand the DOJ's request.

Latham & Watkins drew controversy the night before Biden’s late July court appearance because a staffer from the firm allegedly misrepresented her identity to the Clerk’s office and described herself as someone who worked for Theodore Kittila, the attorney for the House Ways and Means Committee.

The Committee was attempting to have Noreika consider testimony from IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler showing “political interference” in the Hunter Biden investigation. Salerno attributed the incident to a “miscommunication” and the staffer said in a sworn affidavit she did not mischaracterize her identity with intent to deceive the court. -Daily Caller

The move brings the total number of Hunter Biden attorneys who have quit to five, with the first - Joshua Levy, quitting in March, and Christopher Clark quitting last week because he could be called as a witness in the case after plea negotiations broke down.

"Brian C. McManus, counsel for the Defendant, Robert Hunter Biden, and respectfully requests this Honorable Court to withdraw all appearances for the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP as counsel for the Defendant in the above-captioned matter," reads Friday's motion, which doesn't provide a reason for the move.

"Mr. Biden has been advised of, and consents to, our withdrawal. He also agrees this withdrawal will cause no material adverse effect or prejudice to him and remains completely satisfied with Messrs. Lowell’s and Jones’s continued representation of him."

Hunter will continue to be represented by Abbe Lowell of Winston & Strawn LLP and Richard I.G. Jones Jr. of Berger Harris LLP. Biden’s top defense counsel, according to the Daily Caller.

Last month a sweetheart plea deal with the DOJ fell apart after Judge Noreika objected to terms which would have given Hunter broad immunity from future prosecution, even from unrelated crimes.

I have to admit that in my efforts to analyze and dissect far-left/globalist ideologies and agendas I have come to a point where I am just as fascinated as I am horrified. Consider for a moment the progressive “intersectional” narrative which we often refer to as “woke”: It’s not an activist movement because they already have equal rights under the law. It’s partially a political movement but their goals go far beyond putting candidates in government – A large part of the government is already on their side.

They claim to stand against “capitalism” and corporate power, yet their movement is primarily funded by the very money elites they say they despise.

No, this movement is something different – It’s a system of blind belief and the invasion of a cult that worships itself, that worships power and seeks to undermine the truth whenever possible as a means to an end. We are witnessing history in the making; the birth of a monstrous religion of moral relativism.

To understand the political left and their tactics you have to understand their relationship with the globalists. Woke groups are a creation of the corporate/globalist regime. For decades think-tanks like the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation have been grooming universities to produce a steady supply of cult members, all of them indoctrinated into a carefully crafted narrative that clings to socialism and uses victim status as a currency.

They abhor meritocracy and have delusions of equity. They demand an impossible Utopia that guarantees equal outcomes. They see self sufficiency as criminality; an attempt to escape from collective oversight. And they are more than willing to rationalize dishonesty, disinformation, deconstruction, chaos and murder as a means to get what they want.

As I’ve noted in the past, it’s difficult to combat a movement with no morals and no shame. If your purpose is to convince them to stop what they are doing using logic, data, common sense and appeals to conscience, you will fail. They don’t care about any of these things. The leftist obsession with power is absolute – It’s all they talk about. It’s the root of every one of their arguments.

That said, their concept of power is rather limited and childish.

For the woke, power is in cancel culture. Power is in the mob. Power is in displays of collective destruction and control.

They ask themselves “What can we take from others, and how can we instill fear?” They believe the more they can take, the more power they have.

Globalists view power in a similar manner to leftists, but they expand on the manifesto with the question “How can we convince others to give us control willingly?”

Elon Musk’s Twitter/X Seeks Job Applicants to Fill What Critics Call ‘Censorship Positions’

Elon Musk’s X platform, previously known as Twitter, is now seeking job applicants to stop disinformation and promote “credible” stories about the election, despite the Tesla CEO saying he had planned to make the social media platform more friendly to free speech.

Twitter/X is looking for job applicants to fill two positions tasked with protecting “information integrity” and “civic conversations” on the social media platform, according to a report by Just the News.

The applicants must be “passionate about protecting users from global disinformation,” as well as “combating threats to online conversational health,” and “helping people find credible information online” regarding elections.

Qualified applicants must also “have a deep understanding of geopolitical, disinformation, and cybersecurity trends,” with fluency in Russian, Mandarin or Cantonese preferred, the report added.

Critics quickly flagged the jobs as “censorship positions,” and social media users pointed out the accounts team leader Aaron Rodericks follows on rival platform BlueSky, which former State Department cyber official Mike Benz referred to as “every high-level spook & censorship industry heavyweight in the world.”

The accounts Rodericks is following reportedly include leaders of anti-disinformation groups that worked closely with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

In February, social media analyst Kristen Ruby noted that the Musk-owned platform still had its recently renamed civic integrity misleading information policy.

This authorizes Twitter/X to remove, stifle, and label “content that may suppress participation,” as well as “mislead” about civic processes, cause “confusion,” or contain “satirical or humorous elements.”

In the Twitter Files, Rodericks was shown to be a skeptic of the U.S. government’s reports of disinformation and foreign influence, and claimed, internally, that the State Department’s Global Engagement Center “doubled their budget by aggressively overstating threats.”

In response to an inquiry by Just the News about how he squared his skepticism of GEC claims with the duties he’s hiring for, Rodericks said, “Be skeptical of all claims until proven with evidence.”

“GEC had terrible methodology for their social media research,” he added. “As a govt org they have a greater responsibility to be accurate when making claims.”

UK birth slump dubbed ‘good for planet’ as number of babies born hits 20-year low

Birth rate slump in West will address overconsumption, former government adviser says

Britain’s top demographics expert has said the falling number of babies born in Britain is a “good thing” after new data showed the number of births had hit a 20-year low.

Professor Sarah Harper CBE, founder and director of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and a former government adviser, said falling birth rates in the West were “good for… our planet”.

Her comments came after official figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed there were 605,479 live births in England and Wales last year, the lowest number since 2002.

The total was down 3.1pc compared to 2021 and is part of a long-term decline in the number of births across Britain and the developed world.

Prof Harper told the Telegraph: “I think it’s a good thing that the high-income, high-consuming countries of the world are reducing the number of children that they’re having. I’m quite positive about that.”

The academic said declining fertility in rich countries would help to address the “general overconsumption that we have at the moment”, which has a negative impact on the planet.

Prof Harper served on the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology between 2014 and 2017. She was awarded a CBE for services to demography in 2018.

She said the UK’s declining birth rate was “inevitable” and in-line with trends in other developed economies.

New facts about the joint work of the US government and George Soros against the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban

We see it as a fact that European countries adhere to a policy of absolute agreement with the course imposed on them by Washington. However, Hungary, the home country of billionaire George Soros, remains almost the "last heaven" of adequacy and resistance to the White House's course. Led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Budapest seeks to pursue an independent foreign and domestic policy, while, oddly enough, being a member of such associations as the EU and NATO.

Orban is known to be quite active in criticizing the Ukrainian war, calling for its conclusion as soon as possible, opposing arms supplies to Kyiv and doubting Ukraine's existence as an independent state. It’s evident that such statements and actions of the Hungarian prime minister do not suit the U.S. government.

It is not surprising that the US democratic government has been working for quite some time to create a negative image of Orbán. This activity is carried out in two priority directions.

The first direction is directly supervised by Soros, who promotes US interests and exerts pressure on the Hungarian Prime Minister's administration through the American Action for Democracy Foundation, which, in turn, finances the Hungarian opposition, namely the political alliance "Together for Hungary". Notably, it was this alliance that opposed the Hungarian ruling Fidesz party in the 2022 parliamentary elections.

No less important is the creation of an information agenda to discredit the activities of Orbán and his government. The U.S. Embassy in Budapest, headed by David Pressman, is responsible for this area. The American embassy promotes in the opposition Hungarian media theses criticizing the current Hungarian government in order to form a negative opinion of the Hungarian leadership. Washington has a whole network of information resources for this purpose, such as Alfahir, Kuruc, Magyar Demokrata and others.

The cornerstone of this scheme is Péter Marky-Zai, mayor of the Hungarian town of Hódmezővászárgyi and Orbán's main rival in the 2022 parliamentary elections. He is the ideal candidate for the EU - he supports Hungary's European course, normalization of relations with Europe and Budapest's switch to the euro. Marky-Zai is not shy, criticizing the country's prime minister for Hungary's "turn to the east, turning into a corrupt dictatorship from which people are fleeing." Unsurprisingly, it is Marky-Zai who is the key figure in this scheme, combining both the political and informational spheres of opposition to the current government.

At the moment, it can be said that the attempts of Washington and George Soros' structures to undermine the Orbán government are not successful. In 2022, the incumbent prime minister won a convincing victory in the parliamentary elections. At the same time, there is no denying that all the individuals and organizations mentioned in this scheme will continue to destabilize Hungarian society in order to change the Hungarian government and put pro-American individuals in public office.

Navy relieves commanding officer of USS Howard

The Navy ousted the commanding officer of the guided-missile destroyer Howard on Saturday.

Vice Adm. Karl Thomas, commander of the U.S. 7th Fleet, relieved Cmdr. Kenji Igawa from his duties “due to loss of confidence in his ability to command,” the Navy said in a statement Sunday.

Igawa, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2004, previously served as the executive officer of the Howard. He became the commanding officer of the ship in December 2022.

“Cmdr. Igawa will be administratively reassigned to the staff of Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet,” the Navy said in a statement Sunday.

Former commanding officer of the guided-missile cruiser Robert Smalls, Capt. Edward Angelinas, will stand in as commanding officer until a permanent replacement is identified.

No other details were immediately available.

The Howard is based in Yokosuka, Japan and is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron 15.
