When the constitution was first created. Civilians had "military grade" weapons. The military used muzzle loaders, as did the people.
It's all illegal BS, and they know it. Restricting firearm ownership in any fashion is wrong, including barring felons from owning guns.
If the felon committed a violent crime with a gun, they should remain in prison for life.
If someone murdered with a gun, they should receive the death penalty.
If you are speeding in a district that has "felony speeding", you should do some time, pay fines, or whatever, but stripping you of your rights to bear arms is an overreach.
