Agreed, but interface comes in many forms and to push to the extent of humanoid form is usually cost prohibitive.

That's speculative. Past studies (no sauce atm) indicate that human workers would be put-off having to work side-by-side with humanoid robots.

We try to do that every day in design, but it does not need to have two arms, two legs, a torso, head & face. Cost prohibitive. Typical design effort addresses the challenge at hand (no pun intended) and scope of design is limited to said challenge.
