WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Biden probe censored expert claims that COVID was likely genetically engineered in a laboratory

Scientists working for a US intelligence agency discovered that a fragment of Covid-19 closely resembled one named in Wuhan Institute of Virology research from more than a decade earlier, Sky News' Sharri Markson can reveal.

US President Joe Biden’s 90-day probe into the origins of Covid-19 censored the input of intelligence agency scientists who concluded the virus was most likely genetically engineered.

In May 2021, President Biden tasked the Intelligence Community with providing an assessment into how the pandemic began after reports, first published by Sky News, that researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology had been hospitalised with Covid-like symptoms in November 2019 in the suspected first cluster of the pandemic.

When the report was published it concluded that most intelligence agencies assessed the virus, even if it had leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was natural rather than manipulated in a laboratory.

Sky News can reveal that this was not the assessments made by the four groups within the intelligence agencies that actually engaged in scientific analysis, who concurred that there was either a highly likely or reasonable chance the virus was genetically engineered.

Scientists at the Defense Intelligence Agency’s National Centre for Medical Intelligence (DIA NCMI) had conducted rigorous research on the genomic sequence of the virus and firmly concluded that it was, most likely, a laboratory construct.

In a world exclusive, Sky News can for the first time reveal their story, their research and their discoveries about SARS-CoV-2.

They had been working with the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction unit, until the co-operation between the two agencies was blocked, with a director at the Defense Intelligence Agency claiming the FBI was “off the reservation” on the topic of the origins of Covid-19.

Well-placed sources familiar with the work that unfolded inside the intelligence agency and their interactions with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the 90-day probe spoke to Sky News for this investigation.

Their internal research at the Pentagon-based agency led to a finding that was described internally as a “smoking gun.”

One of the scientists discovered that the size and location of a fragment of Covid-19 resembled the same fragment in Wuhan Institute of Virology research from more than a decade earlier, in 2008. It was the same technique that the WIV had used in grant applications to make chimeric viruses.

“This paper is the smoking gun of everything. When the team reviewed this data, they thought ‘This is created in the lab. It’s a reverse genetics construct,” a source said.

But their input into the 90-day origins probe was censored.

Sources close to the inquiry estimated about 90 per cent of the DIA NCMI edits were deleted, censored or simply weren’t included.

“They said the information was too technical to include in the ODNI assessment,” a source familiar with the process told Sky News.

While the Department of Corrections did not clarify on the housing of transgender inmates in the report, a government of Wisconsin document seemingly clarifies the placement of those who self-identify as the other gender and are referred to as "Gender Dysphoria (GD)" inmates.

The policy states that "all sites are approved for transgender and intersex inmates" except for six listed facilities.

"Facility and housing assignments shall be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the inmate's health and safety as well as potential programming, management and security concerns. An inmate's own views regarding safety shall be given careful consideration," the document states.

As well, if the inmate has already had a sex change prior to imprisonment, "placement shall be, in most cases, consistent with the reassignment treatment."

However, "self-inflicted genital mutilation" does not count as any form of gender reassignment, the document clarifies.

Placement and "programming" of the individual is to be reassessed every six months.

A proposal in a Stanford University journal for "news source trustworthiness ratings" would, if it advances, be like a digital reboot of the CIA's psychedelic mind-control experiments from the Cold War era, says a former State Department cyber official who now leads a online free speech watchdog group.

The psychological manipulation used in the experiments – known as Project MK-ULTRA and the subject of congressional hearings in 1977 – is reflected in the Journal of Online Trust and Safety study, conducted by researchers at U.S. and Italian universities, says Mike Benz, the former State Department official who now leads the watchdog group Foundation for Freedom Online.

"The whole point" of the study "is you don't even need fact-checkers to fact-check the story," a labor-intensive endeavor across the internet, if social media platforms simply apply a "scarlet letter" to disfavored news sources, Benz told Just the News. By creating "the appearance of having done a fact-check, it's deliberately fraudulent."

Benz said he's in discussions with House Appropriations Committee staff on attaching a rider to funding bills for federal agencies such as the National Science Foundation that would prohibit them from funding institutions that promote such activities.

Its stated purpose is to study "how people abuse the internet to cause real human harm, often using products the way they are designed to work," the editors wrote in the inaugural issue, which included a paper on the intersection of hate speech and misinformation about "the role of the Chinese government in the origin and spread of COVID-19."

The trustworthiness-ratings study was published in the most recent issue of the journal, in April, but appears to have drawn little attention, with its ResearchGate page only tracking two citations. Its only mention on X, formerly Twitter, is an April 27 thread with 22 shares by lead author Tatiana Celadin of Ca’Foscary University.

Investigators provide update on Prigozhin plane crash

Law enforcement officials say they retrieved the aircraft’s black boxes and ordered DNA tests to identify the victims

Russian law enforcement officials have found the black boxes of an aircraft that crashed in Tver Region this week. Wagner Group founder Evgeny Prigozhin was apparently aboard the plane, the Investigative Committee said on Friday. The victims of the crash are yet to be identified, it added.

A total of 10 bodies were found at the crash site, the committee’s statement said. That figure corresponds to the number of passengers and crew members listed on the aircraft’s manifest, which included Prigozhin.DNA tests are currently underway to identify all the victims, according to the committee’s spokeswoman, Svetlana Petrenko.

Investigators are still searching the crash site, she said, adding that all the relevant data and evidence is being gathered to “detail all the circumstances of the air disaster.” The probe is still considering “all potential versions” of the incident, she added.

In the wake of the crash, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and pledged that the probe into the incident would be thorough. He also referred to Prigozhin as “a talented man” of “complicated destiny.”

The incident took place two months after the Wagner Group’s aborted mutiny against the Russian military. At that time, Prigozhin accused the Russian Defense Ministry of attacking a Wagner base and sent a convoy of troops toward Moscow. The rebellion was ended through a deal brokered by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

As part of the agreement, Prigozhin agreed to disband much of Wagner and leave with the rest to Belarus and Africa. In exchange, charges against him in Russia were dropped.

Prigozhin didn’t request security guarantees – Lukashenko

The Belarusian leader stressed that he was in no way responsible for the Wagner chief’s safety

The late chief of the Wagner private military company, Evgeny Prigozhin, never sought security guarantees from Minsk, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told journalists on Friday.

As reported by Belarusian state news agency BelTA, Lukashenko insisted that he was not responsible for Prigozhin’s personal safety and that they never held any discussion on the matter.

Instead, Lukashenko stated that he had warned Prigozhin on two separate occasions – including when he launched a march on Moscow – that he was risking his own safety as well as the safety of those around him.

The president claimed there had only been two topics on the agenda during negotiations with Prigozhin amid his short-lived mutiny in July. The first was the cessation of criminal cases against Wagner members, while the second was the transfer of the PMC’s forces to Belarus and security guarantees once they arrived there.

“If you guys are afraid of something, I will talk to [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin, we will bring you over to Belarus where we can guarantee your safety,” Lukashenko recalled telling Prigozhin as he helped broker the agreement.

The Belarusian leader stressed that the Wagner chief had never asked him to deal with any aspects related to his personal security.

Lukashenko also insisted that Putin had nothing to do with the incident that apparently led to Prigozhin’s death, despite sections of the media attempting to pin the blame on the Russian leader.

“I can’t say who did it. I wouldn’t even become a lawyer for my older brother,” Lukashenko said. “However, I know Putin. He is prudent, very calm, and is even rather slow in making decisions on other, less complex issues.”

“That’s why I can’t imagine that Putin is behind this,” the Belarusian leader added, claiming that if the plane crash was the result of sabotage, it was “too rough” and an example of “unprofessional work.”

Prigozhin is believed to have died on Wednesday along with six other Wagner leaders when an Embraer private jet traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia’s Tver Region. All seven passengers on board, as well as three crew members, perished in the crash. Authorities are still working to identify the bodies, but it is presumed that Prigozhin is among them.

Investigators have launched a probe into the incident but no official statements have yet been made as to the cause of the crash. However, debris belonging to the Embraer aircraft has been found kilometers away from the main crash site, indicating that the plane may have fragmented at high altitude.
