What happens if Trump violates his Fulton County bond conditions?

It's extremely unlikely that a single violation of his release conditions, unless it’s especially egregious, would land Trump in pretrial detention, Georgia legal experts told NBC News.

After Donald Trump surrenders to Fulton County authorities Thursday, the former president will be released from custody in Georgia under an already agreed-upon set of conditions, including a $200,000 bond.

As part of the conditions, Trump will be prohibited from doing anything a judge could interpret as an effort to intimidate co-defendants or witnesses or “otherwise obstruct the administration of justice.”

More specifically, Trump “shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature” against any co-defendant, witness or victim, the community or property in the community.

“The above shall include, but are not limited to, posts on social media or reposts of posts made by another individual on social media,” reads the bond order, entered Monday by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.

So what happens if Trump, who has previously lashed out at efforts to restrict his comments on social media, violates the order?

The practical difficulties of imprisoning a former president and the leading candidate for the 2024 GOP presidential nominationin the Fulton County Jail make it extremely unlikely that a single violation of his release conditions, unless it’s especially egregious, would land Trump in pretrial detention, Georgia legal experts say.

“Donald Trump isn’t the kind of person you can just throw in the slammer,” Georgia State University law professor Caren Morrison said. “He’s got to have his security guys, his Secret Service, with him, and they can’t do anything that would possibly jeopardize his personal safety. So I think it would be extremely difficult to do.”

Judges have a variety of options to ensure a defendant’s compliance with a bond order short of issuing an arrest warrant, and they usually don’t like to send defendants to jail after they’ve already posted bond, Morrison said.

“They’re not necessarily jail-happy,” she said. “I think they do try to give people a chance to straighten themselves out rather than getting remanded. But if the behavior continues or is repeated, then yeah, that’s what you’re looking at at the end of the road.”

If Trump makes social media posts that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis considers threatening, he could be ordered to attend a hearing at which McAfee would review his conduct and determine whether it really violated the conditions of his release. If McAfee were to rule that Trump did violate the conditions, he would decide the appropriate punishment.

Alternatives to revoking Trump’s bond could include simply warning him against future violations, holding him civil contempt and fining him daily until the posts are deleted or allowing him to remain free but imposing stricter restrictions on his speech.

“The court’s power to ensure that its order is enforced will really depend on the manner in which the accused person has violated that order,” said state Rep. Tanya Miller, a former prosecutor in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. “The remedy can be fashioned to get at that violation, and it can mean revoking a bond, it can mean just adding additional conditions.”

___However, even if a post from Trump appears to violate the conditions of his release, that’s no guarantee that Willis will alert McAfee of the violation or ask for Trump’s bond to be revoked__.

“I would think that if it’s a close call, the state may decide to not be so heavy-handed, just to keep their case clean and moving forward,” Miller said. “But if there is a clear violation on all fours, for example someone has some audiotape of one of the defendants actively engaging in threats or actively trying to influence a witness, then I think the state has an obligation to ensure the integrity of the case and the integrity of the trial.”

Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger’s office secretly recorded the phone call with President Trump, then lied about it to the far left Washington Post.

Raffensperger’s office later ran to the Washington Post and leaked a fraudulent transcript of the call.

After they were caught lying to the America public, The Washington Post outed Jordan Fuchs as their anonymous source for their garbage hit piece.

Fuchs provided the WaPo with a fraudulent Trump quote that the paper ran in an anti-Trump hit piece on January 9th.

They planned this to do the most damage to President Trump before the sham impeachment trial in the US Senate.

Georgia Chairman of the Republican Party David Shafer later revealed that Raffensperger and Fuchs lied to the Washington Post about Trump demanding that they “find the fraud.”

Then after the leaked their version of the story to the Washington Post they deleted the audio of the call.

The audio file was later found in the laptop’s “trash” folder.

This shows who Trump was dealing with in Georgia!

Fuchs ran Raffensperger’s campaign for Secretary of State.

According to Georgia activists, Fuchs, Raffensberger and the entire Secretary of State’s office were not helpful at all during investigations following the controversial 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia.

In February 2021 Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis opened an investigation into President Trump’s call to Brad Raffensperger following the 2020 election that was misrepresented to the Washington Post.

Her investigation was ALL based on a lie by Fuchs and Raffensperger.

They knew the Fuchs lied. They indicted President Trump and 18 of his associates anyway.

Bipartisan Group Of Lawmakers Pressure DOJ For Answers On Illegal Chinese Marijuana Grows Exposed By DCNF

A bipartisan delegation of lawmakers representing Maine sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland urging the Department of Justice (DOJ) to shut down illegal Chinese marijuana operations that have sprung up across the state.

Law enforcement in Maine identified 270 suspected properties used for Chinese illegal marijuana grow operations with the potential to produce $4.37 billion in revenue, according to an internal Border Patrol memo obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Independent Sen. Angus King, Republican Sen. Susan Collins, Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree and Democratic Rep. Jared Golden requested that Garland explain how the DOJ is combatting the issue, according to a copy of Wednesday’s letter.

“These illegal growing operations are detrimental to Maine businesses that comply with State laws, and we urge the Department of Justice (DOJ) to shut them down,” the delegation wrote to Garland.

“These reports of illegal growing operations within the state are alarming, and we are writing to request additional information about what the DOJ is doing to address this situation,” the delegation added in their letter.

Most of the individuals involved in the illicit operations aren’t U.S. citizens, Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton, whose office was involved in a recent grow bust, previously told the DCNF.

“There are hundreds of these operations occurring throughout the state. It’s upsetting to those who live near these operations, and even those who are following Maine laws and procedures,” Morton said.

Meanwhile, the profits from the grows are largely going to fund more crimes or are sent straight to China, according to the memo.

“According to the National Drug Threat Assessment (circa 2020)- profits associated with 100 cultivated plants could produce $5.4 Million; therefore if one property produces three cycles a year at 100 plants, that one property could make $16.2 Million in revenue where the funds are likely used for other criminal activities or are sent to China,” the memo states.

Authorities believe that Interstate 95 is the main route used to transport illicit narcotics, cash and illegal aliens associated with the grows, according to the memo.

“Based on location of the properties, it is assessed that I-95 is the main transport route for bulk cash, illegal narcotics, illegal aliens as this is the most desirable route throughout the state of Maine. I-95 begins in Miami, Florida, and ends near New Brunswick. This route enables smugglers through the many connecting routes which may allow access to many adjoining states,” the memo stated.

Maine voters chose to legalize marijuana in 2016, while medical marijuana use has been legal since 1999 and was decriminalized in 1976. In 2020, recreational marijuana sale became legal.

In Maine, residents that are at least 21 years of age are permitted to grow as many as three mature plants and 12 immature plants for personal use, according to the state’s Office of Cannabis Policy.

A spokesperson for the DOJ declined to comment on the letter.

Corrupt Atlanta District Attorney indicted President Trump on several charges involving speech crimes last week.

Willis and Democrats are gathering up Republican leaders and charging them with crimes for challenging the 2020 stolen election results.

In February 2021 Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis opened an investigation into President Trump based on his call to Brad Raffensperger following the 2020 election that was misrepresented to the Washington Post. The Washington Post later corrected their report after they discovered they were lied to. But the damage was done.

Willis’s investigation into Trump was ALL based on a lie by Fuchs and Raffensperger.

Fani Willis and her team knew that Fuchs lied. Last week they indicted President Trump and 18 of his associates anyway.

Now this… Recently discovered Facebook posts by Fani Willis in November 2020 reveak the Atlanta District Attorney was pushing similar election fraud theories as President Trump.

NEW: The ‘unbiased’ and ‘fair’ District Attorney Fani Willis had multiple Facebook posts commenting on the 2020 election results including one where she raised theories of election fraud similar to Trump.

One post came on November 4, 2020 where Willis commented on the infamous ‘water leak.’

“Georgia could determine who is our next president. A TEAM of lawyers needs to watch them count every single VOTE. They can start in Fulton where we are having water leaks. What ballots are they throwing out? Georgia lets give an honest accounting. No stunts!”

The day before she told her followers she was “scared” that they “messed up” the election.

Days later on November 7th, Willis released multiple posts explaining how proud she was that Kamala Harris was the next vice president.
