Conviction in Senate unlikely.
Joe is only going to get the 25th if he has a stroke or something - - otherwise they are content leading him by the hand and running the country in his name behind all of our backs.
Only reason they let the 25th happen or impeachment conviction succeed is if they want Joe to step aside and he refuses. I seriously doubt they would let the GOP get even the appearance of a 'win.'
The point is to keep some kind of regional conflict going so weapons manufacturers have a steady income.
They might let it escalate more to increase revenue, but if someone presses the nuclear button, they fucked up, because once it goes nuclear, then a lot of countries just aren't going to exist anymore and won't need more weapons contracts. Bad for business.
Retire? Hell, why wait for that?
