In doing some digging this morning I came across something interesting. Anons may recall Dr. Carol Baker who advocating something to the effect of "getting rid of all the whites" in the US, due apparently to them catching on about vaccines and being "hesitant". (pic related)

Did you know that according to immunizationadvocates.org (https://www.immunizationadvocates.org/experts/carol-j-baker):

'Carol J. Baker, M.D., is a highly accomplished infectious diseases clinician, teacher and vaccinologist. Dr. Baker is known as “the Godmother of group B Streptococcus (GBS) prevention” for her groundbreaking recognition of the correlation between neonatal and infant GBS disease and the lack of maternal antibodies to the GBS capsular polysaccharide.'

I think that hospital birth attended by physicians has long been much less safe than non-medicalized home birth with perhaps the help of a midwife. It seems strange to me to apply antibiotic to a baby who should be getting colonized by the normal flora of the mother and who has gotten passively immunized by maternal antibodies prior to birth. Of course the infant shouldn't be exposed to pathogens like pertussis but if a baby is born at home and sick people don't visit things should almost always be fine. Was the GBS strep prophylaxis more about avoiding hospital acquired infection than anything else?

Relatedly, Carol Baker is at least the second vaccine promoter who has the term "Godmother" or "Godfather" applied to them. Are ardent vaccine promoters typically parents? Are they often parents of multiple children? Why "Godfather" or "Godmother" of some random vaccine or "health" effort? Do some have a "God complex"?

Is it possible that decades ago many trusted people, especially those in prominent institutions got propagandized to stop population growth? I have a copy of the book "The Population Bomb" by Paul Ehrlich and at the back are a bunch of sample letters written to prominent people to get them to sign up for "zero population growth". The idea seems to have been to get the public to do something similar.

Some of the people who got the letters were:

The Pope

The President of the Lutheran Church in America

A Catholic Archbishop

The President of CBS

A US Senator

A US Representative

My copy of the book is a Sierra Club/Ballentine Book copyright 1968, 1971. The letters appear on pp 181-190.

Did "our leaders" get the idea that controlling population was a good idea even altruistic?

So many coincidences today. Like a slow avalanche gaining steam or a tsunami getting visible on the horizon. I dreamt of a tsunami last night, too.
