Social media users claim CNN has outed Joe Biden as a "pathological liar" as the outlet aired a segment exposing the US President consistently "inventing" stories about his past.
CNN aired a news segment recently, highlighting Joe Biden's consistent tendency to create fictional narratives about his past.
President Biden has gained notoriety for sharing imaginative stories, including a recent false claim about being at Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attacks.
CNN senior reporter and political fact-checker Daniel Dale pointed out that the President has a recurring pattern of either "inventing" or exaggerating stories from his own life.
“This president has a pattern at this point of either inventing or embellishing stories about his own past, his biography," Mr Dale said.

Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney discusses reports by The Washington Post and New York Times suggesting President Joe Biden shouldn’t run in 2024.
There has been a particular focus on the decline of President Biden's mental fitness at the age of 80.
Mr Mulvaney said The Washington Post journalist David Ignatius suggesting President Biden shouldn’t run for re-election is “an earthquake in Democrat politics”.
“It’s hard to explain to folks in Australia how important The Washington Post and the New York Times are to the left in this country,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host James Morrow.
"They are the standard bearers for the progressive and liberal movements here.”

Really? DoD Awards Disinfo Researcher Who Praised Hunter Biden Laptop Censorship, Lisa Kaplan/ Nina Jankowicz
The Biden Pentagon awarded a contract to a disinformation researcher who celebrated Big Tech’s election interference by suppressing the 2020 Hunter Biden bombshell scandals.
The Biden Defense Department (DoD) awarded two contracts to Lisa Kaplan’s LCK Strategies, one for a “global disinformation” tracking tool. In 2020, Kaplan lauded Twitter’s aggressive censorship of the New York Post’s now-verified Hunter Biden laptop bombshell by commenting, “Good move.” Kaplan’s approval of censoring a legitimate news story, which ended up impacting the 2020 election results, and her ties to former Biden disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz have raised serious concerns. Why is the DoD contracting this anti-free speech researcher to “proactively respond” to alleged disinformation?
The most recent Pentagon grant, dated for May 2 through August 4, 2023, shows that LCK Strategies received $72,321. The listed purpose was for a software tool to respond proactively to global disinformation campaigns. LCK previously received a $49,328 DoD contract in 2021. Open Corporates lists Kaplan as the “Agent” for LCK Strategies.
The Washington Free Beacon identified Kaplan as head of LCK in a Sept. 13 piece and noted her previous anti-free speech comments. “I do applaud Twitter's efforts and the stances they have taken to address disinformation, making it so that people can't share a link known to be false that could have potential implications on the election,” she said, referring to the Post’s Hunter bombshell. “It's an important step if they are truly going to be a source of accurate information for their users.”
Since then, the Post’s story has been verified, ultimately leading to the Joe Biden bribery allegations. A 2020 Media Research Center poll found that censorship of the Hunter Biden scandal helped steal the election for Joe Biden, since 4.6% of Biden’s total vote wouldn’t have voted for him if in possession of all the facts. Kaplan approved that election-altering censorship, making her recent DoD contract questionable.
Kaplan also has ties to former Biden Disinformation Governance Board czar and self-identified “Mary Poppins of disinformation” Nina Jankowicz, according to the Free Beacon. Alethea Group, which the Free Beacon identified as LCK Strategies, hired Jankowicz in September 2021 as Director of External Engagement. Jankowicz and Kaplan thus worked together to undermine free speech.
