FALSE CLAIMS MADE BY THE GOVT ABOUT THE LAHAINA FIRE
Josh Green: “It was a 17-minute hurricane fire”
FALSE. It burned all day long. From 9am past midnight.
It was due to climate change.
FALSE: The county is suing because proper burn mgmt wasn’t done.
It was a normal fire.
FALSE: Plumeria is blooming right next to gutted cars.
It was 100% contained earlier.
FALSE: It was not; it re-ignited later in the day.
Sirens weren’t activated bc they are only for tsunamis.
FALSE: They are for any kind of emergency – co website.
Mayor appeared around 6:30 pm saying everything was fine.
FALSE: Half of Lahaina had already burned
Cars were blocked from leaving due to downed power lines.
FALSE: There are no power since 4:30pm that evening.
There was no cell phone service to send text warnings during the fire.
FALSE: Cell phones could still receive text messages. Why were no warnings sent out?
After the fire, govt help was not available due to no comms.
FALSE: Starlinks were available after the fire. Citizens were blocked from coming into the fire.
Cell phones didn’t work after the fire because there were no cell phone towers.
FALSE: There were temp cell towers put in place.
Water was turned off for “water rights” reasons.
FALSE: There was no water available to do laundry, take a shower or fight the fire. Even the well water source, the diesel.
OTHER INCONVENIENT FACTS:
