David Weiss Drops One Gun Charge Count Against Hunter Biden

Special Counsel David Weiss dropped one of the gun charges count against Hunter Biden on Wednesday.

The move is apparently a procedural step, according to the Associated Press:

The procedural step removes a charge alleging he broke a law against drug users having guns when he bought a gun in 2018, during a period he has acknowledged struggling with addiction.

The president’s son is now facing a three-count indictment focused on the same purchase that includes both gun possession and false statement charges. No new tax counts have yet been filed by special counsel David Weiss, who is overseeing the case.

Hunter Biden had been expected to avoid prosecution on the gun charge and plead guilty to misdemeanor tax counts in an agreement with prosecutors. But the deal collapsed after a judge raised questions about it in a July hearing and the new indictment was filed weeks later.

Hunter Biden’s lawyers wrote in an August court filing that Weiss’s decision to “renege on the previously agreed-upon plea agreement” is still in effect and binding. The diversion agreement allowed Hunter Biden to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax violations while essentially wiping a felony gun violation from his record.

Top British University’s Arab and Islamic Studies School Offers Degree in ‘Magic and Occult Science’

The Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter promises “decolonisation… feminism, and anti-racism” in its new Master’s Degree in Magic and Occult Science, the first of its kind in the UK.

The University of Exeter, part of the Russel Group of leading British universities, has launched a Master of Arts in Magic and Occult Science, a development perhaps reflecting the rise of interest in the occult in the increasingly post-Christian West.

Delivered through the University’s Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, which by Exeter’s own reckoning is “one of Europe’s most renowned centres for research and teaching in the Arab and Muslim world”, the one or two-year course at a cost of £12,000, or £24,300 ($29,750) to international applicants gives students the opportunity to “Build interdisciplinary expertise whilst exploring your specific interests within the long and diverse history of esotericism, witchcraft, ritual magic, occult science, and related topics.”

An online prospectus advertising the course illustrates key benefits including an invitation for students to join monthly meetings of the “prestigious Centre for Magic and Esotericism” and the chance to study the course’s core course, “Esotericism and the Magical Tradition”.

Taking in a long run of magic in history, the course explores “magic in Greece and Rome, occult texts in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, the history of witchcraft, magic in literature and folklore, deception and illusion, and the history of science and medicine”

The course is not, apparently, also without a crusading, cultural element. As expressed by Exeter, delivering the course through the Institute puts “the Arabo-Islamic cultural heritage back where it belongs in the centre of these studies and in the history of the ‘West’,” and students will find “the exploration of alternative epistemologies, feminism, and anti-racism are at the core of this programme.”

Speaking to The Guardian course leader Professor Emily Selove said in the recent past people dismissed “the study of magic and the occult” as irrelevant but said modern people are superstitious and this is worth studying. “A recent surge in interest in magic and the occult inside and outside academia lies at the heart of the most urgent questions of our society”, she said.

The paper cited “the growth in the popularity of folklore, witchcraft, tarot and crystals, which has been understood as a reaction to the decline of organised religion” as a key factor. It further reported further classes open to students which include “dragons in western literature and art, the legend of King Arthur… and the philosophy of psychedelics.”

While Christianisation in the 7th century functionally ended Pagan beliefs in the British Isles, it has seen occasional resurgence since, with esoteric Druidic groups founded in Georgian and Victorian England as an outgrowth of Celtic nationalism and the Romantic movement. Interest in occultism also caught some wealthy Britons in the early 20th century, including, most infamously, philosopher Aleister Crowley.

A loss of faith in traditional structures and conventions after the Second World War, and a cultural folk revival saw a new growth in neo-Paganism in the mid-20th century. By the early 2000s, Paganism was being recorded as a religion in the national census, with the 2021 taking recording 87,000 self-reported Pagans and Wiccans, the largest of the ‘other’ religions.

Druidism has its most visible public exposure in the United Kingdom annually on the summer solstice, when Pagans meet at the ancient Stone Henge. The ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet tall and weighing 25 tons is one of the most important Neolithic sites in the world and is reckoned to be some 5,000 years old.

Ukraine’s Transgender Spokesperson Returns to Duty After Suspension, Announces Book Deal

Ukraine’s controversial transgender spokesperson Sarah Ashton-Cirillo has claimed to have been reinstated in the role representing the Territorial Defence Forces (TDF) after being suspended last month.

“I continue in the role of TDF spokesperson. Truth, trust, and humanity will always prevail over accusations, allegations, and artificial intelligence,” Ashton-Cirillo said on Tuesday.

The American citizen, born as Michael John Cirillo before ‘transitioning’, went on to claim to have signed two book contracts with Potomac Books publishing, with the first volume set to be released in the summer of next year.

“The last weeks of allegations and accusations have created new and unexpected opportunity to bring the on-the-ground truth and facts of Ukraine to the global community while putting to rest all the Russian lies, propaganda, gossip and rumours that have surrounded me,” the former freelance journalist said of the upcoming book.

In September, Ashton-Cirillo was suspended, with the TDF saying: “The statements of (Junior Sergeant) Ashton-Cirillo in recent days were not approved by the command of the TDF or the command of the AFU. When conducting military operations against the aggressor, the defence forces of Ukraine strictly observe the norms of international humanitarian law.”

This followed a public spat with Ohio Senator J.D. Vance after Breitbart News revealed that the Republican lawmaker demanded that the Biden administration reveal any information it has on Ashton-Cirillo, and if the White House supported the Ukrainian military spokesperson’s threat to “hunt down” so-called Russian propagandists.

What is USAID Doing in Georgia?

US bilateral relations with Georgia (the country, not to be confused with the American state) seem a bit tarnished, and it’s USAID’s activities in Georgia that are to blame.

The Georgian State Security Service (GSSS) has accused the agency of funding an NGO that trained Georgian youth to organize unrest, the start of which was planned for October-December this year. The US Embassy in Tbilisi stated that the allegations were false. But Georgian authorities were not satisfied with this answer, describing the US response as “astonishing and insulting.”

So, is the US spending money in the Caucasus country, and if so, for what purposes? Sputnik investigates.

What Happened?

On Monday, the GSSS made a statement that three Serbian citizens from the Center for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies (CANVAS), funded by USAID, went to Tbilisi to teach youth and local NGO leaders to organize unrest.

According to the Georgian security service, from September 26 to 29, representatives of several local NGOs and civil activists underwent training in a hotel in Tbilisi. These individuals were trained to act, in particular, against the government, the State Security Service, and other agencies. They were also taught the technique of creating pickets and artificial traffic jams.

The same day, Georgian Parliamentary Speaker Shalva Papuashvili asked USAID for clarifications regarding funding in organizing a coup, and cited the incident as “a dark day in the history of American aid to Georgia.”

In response, the US Embassy in Tbilisi said all the allegations were false and that USAID would continue to support “Georgian organizations who support people to secure the future they determine.”

“Allegations made publicly today against one of our assistance projects are false and fundamentally mischaracterize the goals of our assistance to Georgia. USAID has been supporting the Georgian people since 1992. As always, our assistance is transparent, and we welcome any opportunities to discuss any concerns the government may have,” the official statement said.

Israel has quietly helped fuel Azerbaijan’s campaign to recapture Nagorno-Karabakh, supplying powerful weapons to Azerbaijan ahead of its lightning offensive last month that brought the ethnic Armenian enclave back under its control, officials and experts say.

Just weeks before Azerbaijan launched its 24-hour assault on September 19, Azerbaijani military cargo planes repeatedly flew between a southern Israeli airbase and an airfield near Nagorno-Karabakh, according to flight tracking data and Armenian diplomats, even as Western governments were urging peace talks.

The flights rattled Armenian officials in Yerevan, long wary of the strategic alliance between Israel and Azerbaijan, and shined a light on Israel’s national interests in the restive region south of the Caucasus Mountains.

“For us, it is a major concern that Israeli weapons have been firing at our people,” Arman Akopian, Armenia’s ambassador to Israel, told The Associated Press. In a flurry of diplomatic exchanges, Akopian said he expressed alarm to Israeli politicians and lawmakers in recent weeks over Israeli weapons shipments.

“I don’t see why Israel should not be in the position to express at least some concern about the fate of people being expelled from their homeland,” he told AP.

Azerbaijan’s September blitz involving heavy artillery, rocket launchers and drones — largely supplied by Israel and Turkey, according to experts — forced Armenian separatist authorities to lay down their weapons and sit down for talks on the future of the separatist region.

The Azerbaijani offensive killed over 200 Armenians in the enclave, the vast majority of them fighters, and some 200 Azerbaijani troops, according to officials.

There are ramifications beyond the volatile enclave of 4,400 square kilometers (1,700 square miles). The fighting prompted over 100,000 people — more than 80 percent of the enclave’s ethnic Armenian residents — to flee in the last two weeks. Azerbaijan has pledged to respect the rights of ethnic Armenians. Armenia calls the exodus a form of ethnic cleansing.

Israel’s foreign and defense ministries declined to comment on the use of Israeli weapons in Nagorno-Karabakh or on Armenian concerns about its military partnership with Azerbaijan. In July, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited Baku, the Azerbaijan capital, where he praised the countries’ military cooperation and joint “fight against terrorism.”

New Zealand Government Exempted Elites from Vax Mandates Forced onto Public

The hypocritical vaccine exemptions for the elite were granted by former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s government before she stood down and accepted a new role as the World Economic Forum’s global “disinformation czar.”

Ardern’s decision to allow the elite to refuse the vaccine while forcing the vax on normal people was revealed by an Official Information Act (OIA) request HNZ00023978 dated 2 August 2023 which asked the following question:

“According to the legislation at the time in 2021, there were operational exemptions available for those who were not getting vaccinated against Covid 19.

“How many requests were received? How many were approved by the ministry?”

Jews murder Christians, traffic children, former congresswoman shares on X

The posts reshared by McKinney also accused Jews of genocide and pedophilia.

Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney shared a number of antisemitic posts on X throughout the beginning of October.

One of the posts that McKinney shared claimed that "Jews promised to murder Xtians…they boast that they murdered Christ…so Christ followers no biggy to Jews. World, we have a problem!"

In another repost by McKinney, it was claimed that "Jews and Israel love trafficking organs, children and women, murderers, slavery black and white, genocide Muslims and other countries worldwide, lies, manipulations, pedophilia and sex offenders, funding training azoz nazis and al-Qaida…."

The images accompanying the post are headlines used by Israeli media reporting on sex crimes that Israelis or diasporic Jews were accused of committing. Many of the articles also reported on Jewish pedophiles using Israel as an escape haven from prosecution in their countries of origin.

Another of the posts that McKinney shared, on October 4, included images of alleged Jewish involvement in the African slave trade.

US House of Representatives cuts funding to UN, WHO, WEF and climate change

Last Thursday, the US House of Representatives passed its annual State Department and Foreign Operations spending bill, which determines the budget for the State Department and its foreign operations. The legislation allocates funds to agencies and programs to strengthen national security and support US allies, particularly against the Chinese Communist Party.

Corporate media highlighted aid for Ukraine that is included in the bill. But there are some other interesting points to note.

Most interestingly, it includes prohibiting funds to several United Nations agencies, the World Health Organisation, the World Economic Forum, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, EcoHealth Alliance, any gain-of-function research, and multilateral assistance to World Bank-administered climate change funds.

The bill also cuts off funding and so eliminates 33 Special Envoys and Special Representatives, including doomsday climate cultist John Kerry.

DHS Let 200,000 Illegal Aliens Fly Directly Into 43 Cities

The Biden regime recently introduced a new program to increase illegal immigration that allows migrants to fly straight from their homelands into a United States city of their liking, per recently obtained records.

As opposed to overwhelming the Texas border, this program allows illegal aliens to use the regime’s app to select a destination, purchase an airline ticket, and fly in without being effectively detected.

Per the Center for Immigration Studies, north of 210,000 of illegal aliens have been processed since January. CIS filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security for the program’s documents. Paul Bedard of the Washington Times noted that this figure “is a population the size of Rochester, New York, or Des Moines, Iowa.”

“DHS cajoles tens of thousands of intending illegal border-crossers per month to instead go on the CBP One smartphone application, and make an appointment with U.S. officials at land ports of entry instead of crossing illegally. After making an appointment, DHS invites these inadmissible aliens to walk over to the American side at the land ports, where U.S. Customs officials quickly ‘parole’ them in, allowing them to travel to a city of their choice in the nation’s interior,” CIS immigration analyst Todd Bensman stated in the report.

“Haitians flew into U.S. airports in the greatest numbers from January through mid-September, a total of 76,582. These Haitians favored one redacted airport over all 36 into which they have flown. Some 47,768 flew into that airport,” the report noted.

“The program was offered to Venezuelans a few months earlier, in October 2022. Since then, 63,360 flew into 43 airports, some 39,474 of them into one preferred airport. Some 46,794 Cubans flew into 41 airports, the majority of them, 33,355, favoring one in particular,” it continued.

Bensman’s report noted, “It’s likely that the preferred airport in all these cases was Miami, but we won’t know for sure unless CBP provides the unredacted information.”

The CIS observed that the program is different from the regime’s practice of filling aircraft in border towns and flying carrying out “ghost flights” into cities during the late night hours.

“Biden officials have rarely, if ever, spoken of this ‘family unification’ flight program in the year since implementing it, perhaps mindful of the political outcry over the late-night ‘ghost flights’ that DHS stealthily arranges to ferry migrant children into various airports, and mindful, too, of strong recent political backlash in large U.S. cities like New York and Chicago to paroled migrants busing themselves in from the border. Here, migrants flying directly into America go uncounted in the monthly Border Patrol tallies, unnoticed, and without media inquiry, virtually all information about it almost hermetically sealed,” the report highlighted.

There’s no question that the Biden regime is 100% committed to the Great Replacement agenda. It’s doing everything possible — from opening the border to facilitating flights into the country — to ensure that the Historic America Nation is completely displaced by foreign migrants. Frankly, there are few people in Congress who are willing to stop this civilization-destroying process.

10 Ways Democrats Are Already Rigging The 2024 Election

It’s no secret by now that Democrats love rigging elections in their favor.

During the 2016 contest, agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI willingly partook in a Hillary Clinton campaign-funded operation to convince the American public that Donald Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin and the Russian government to steal the election. The FBI didn’t just launch an investigation into Trump based on “uncorroborated intelligence”; it used the Clinton-funded Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on his campaign.

These kinds of nefarious activities continued into the 2020 election, in which these agencies (along with the CIA) worked overtime to discredit damaging reporting about then-candidate Joe Biden. These departments even went so far as to pressure Big Tech platforms in the months leading up to the election to censor information like the Hunter Biden laptop story when it became public. Like clockwork, these companies acquiesced.

And who could forget Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose “Zuckbucks” flooded local election offices in key battleground states to change how elections were administered and effectively fund a Democrat get-out-the-vote operation?

Now, as the country hurtles towards another intense presidential election, Democrats are once again putting their feet on the electoral scale to rig the 2024 contest in their favor.

1. FBI Targeting of Conservatives

Another facet of so-called “law enforcement” agencies’ election interference is their blatant targeting of conservatives. Within the past few years, the FBI has been caught directing its fire at parents attending school board meetings, Catholics who attend Latin Mass, and innocent pro-lifers, to name a few.

Given these actions, it wasn’t shocking when Newsweek reported on Wednesday that the agency is gearing up to single out supporters of former President Donald Trump as “domestic terrorists” ahead of the 2024 contest. As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd reported, “Testimony from more than a ‘dozen current or former government officials who specialize in terrorism’ to Newsweek confirmed that this increase in targeting was born out of the FBI’s decision to lump Trump supporters into its expanded definition of ‘domestic extremism.'”

1. Protecting Joe Biden

Former business associates, IRS and FBI whistleblowers, bank records, text messages, emails, reporting from a “highly credible” informant, and even President Joe Biden himself have all corroborated different aspects of the latter’s involvement in his family’s corrupt foreign business ventures. But according to Democrats and their legacy media allies, this is just evidence of a father’s love for his son.

From the moment mountains of evidence began piling up, implicating Biden in playing a major role in his family’s international influence-peddling scheme, Democrats have done all they can to hide, excuse, and obfuscate the massive scandal surrounding the sitting president. With help from the DOJ — which almost got away with offering Biden’s son, Hunter, a sweetheart plea agreement to evade future criminal charges and has routinely hindered investigative efforts into the Bidens — these acts represent a clear attempt by Democrats to hide damning information about the sitting president from the American public ahead of the 2024 election.

Several martyrs of civilians and military personnel, and dozens were injured in a terrorist drone attack while they were at a graduation ceremony in Homs, according to a statement by the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.

“As a part of their criminal method and continuing to shed Syrian blood, armed terrorist organizations supported by well-known international parties, targeted afternoon a graduation ceremony for military academy cadets in Homs with drones carrying explosive ammunition immediately after the ceremony ended,” the statement reads.

It added “The aggression resulted in the death of several civilians and military personnel in addition the injury of dozens of the invited families, as well as several participating students.

The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces considers this act an unprecedented criminal one, and affirms that it will respond with full force and determination to these terrorist groups wherever they are, and stresses that the planners and executors will be held accountable, the statement concluded.

How conspiracy theories became intertwined with prejudice and paranoia across the globe

History has shown that, in times of uncertainty, people often like to jump to their own conclusions.

This is how conspiracy theories are born, says US author and cultural historian Colin Dickey.

Anxiety, paranoia, loneliness and a yearning for control in often uncontrollable circumstances all lead to conspiracy theories' proliferation, he tells ABC RN's Late Night Live.

And yet, while social media may have accelerated their accessibility, society's obsession with them began long before the rise of the internet.

Fear and early conspiracy theories

Conspiracy theories in the US can be traced back hundreds of years, says Dr Dickey, whose latest book is Under the Eye of Power: How Fear of Secret Societies Shapes American Democracy.

"From the very birth of democracy [in the US], there was this idea that there were secret saboteur foreign agents and seditious spies," he says.

"And it [created] this anxiety that quickly shaded into paranoia in Americans."

Dr Dickey says during the US War of Independence — which was fought between North American colonists and Great Britain from 1775 to 1783 — some colonists believed the war was being secretly orchestrated by the French to divide and conquer Great Britain.

"That's just one of the many conspiracy theories that floated around from the very beginning," he says.

But University of Florida professor Victoria Pagan, who researches conspiracy theories in the ancient Roman world, says it goes back even further. She says as early as 331 BC, during the spread of an unknown plague, there's a record of a health-related conspiracy theory in ancient Rome, which claimed a ring of women were poisoning people.

Similarly when the bubonic plague was taking hold across the world, a 14th-century conspiracy theory maintained by some in Europe claimed that Jews were poisoning wells, Dr Pagan explains.

"A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years’ imprisonment may be imposed," according to the Republican Conference Rules of the 118th Congress.

That said, the rules could be altered to make way for Trump.

Despite the gavel post, however, it appears Trump doesn't actually want the job - and may just be attending to help steer the process. In a Thursday Truth social post, he said:
