Anon watched a show awhile back, I don't remember which. But they were talking about the white limestone paints that were used on the facades of buildings in Jerusalem, and other places. They talked about how the sun reflecting off of the paint gives the appearance that the buildings are made of gold. So I wonder if that what the white paint on this temple did.
