Nation’s Top Law Firms Send Letter to Elite Universities: They Won’t Recruit from Colleges That Tolerate Antisemitism

Concerned by the rampant antisemitism displayed on college campuses across the nation expressing support for the terrorist attacks on civilians in Israel, some of the nation’s most powerful law firms are sending a warning to elite universities and their students.

There will be real world consequences for embracing antisemitism.

A letter, signed by more than two dozen law firms, is warning universities to crack down on antisemitism on campus or the schools, and their students, or they will face consequences.

Spearheaded by Joe Shenker, senior chair of Sullivan & Cromwell, CNN reports the letter was sent on Monday to law school deans at Yale, Harvard, Columbia, the University of Virginia, Georgetown, the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, the University of Michigan, New York University and Stanford.

The letter, obtained by CNN, reads:

Dear Deans,

Everyone at our law firms is entitled to be treated with respect and be free of any conduct that targets their identity and is offensive, hostile, intimidating or inconsistent with their personal dignity and rights. We prohibit any form of harassment, whether verbal, visual or physical.

Over the last several weeks, we have been alarmed at reports of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism and assaults on college campuses, including rallies calling for the death of Jews and the elimination of the State of Israel. Such anti-Semitic activities would not be tolerated at any of our firms. We also would not tolerate outside groups engaging in acts of harassment and threats of violence, as has also been occurring on many of your campuses.

As educators at institutions of higher learning, it is imperative that you provide your students with the tools and guidance to engage in the free exchange of ideas, even on emotionally charged issues, in a manner that affirms the values we all hold dear and rejects unreservedly that which is antithetical to those values. There is no room for anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism or any other form of violence, hatred or bigotry on your campuses, in our workplaces or our communities.

As employers who recruit from each of your law schools, we look to you to ensure your students who hope to join our firms after graduation are prepared to be an active part of workplace communities that have zero tolerance policies for any form of discrimination or harassment, much less the kind that has been taking place on some law school campuses.

We trust you will take the same unequivocal stance against such activities as we do, and we look forward to a respectful dialogue with you to understand how you are addressing with urgency this serious situation at your law schools.

You’re either with us or Hamas – Israel

There can be no neutrality regarding the Middle East conflict, a spokesman for Israel’s Foreign Ministry has claimed

Nations that have failed to support Israel’s response to the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7 are on the side of the militant group in the conflict, the Israeli Foreign Ministry has declared. There can be no neutrality regarding the conflict, a ministry spokesman has inisisted.

Speaking at a virtual media briefing on Friday, Lior Hayat described Israel’s intention to obliterate Hamas as an existential goal. The group’s leadership, he claimed, is planning “another October 7 massacre, and another one after that, and another one after that.”

Hayat said Israel had received “unprecedented international support” after the attack, because “no one could see those atrocities and not understand what we are dealing with.”

“I want to send a very clear message to the international community. If you do not condemn Hamas, if you do not [support] Israel’s right to self-defense, you are supporting Hamas.”

There is no middle way. You are either standing with Israel or you are standing with Hamas.

On October 7, Hamas fighters breached a security wall erected by Israel around Gaza and raided nearby towns and military bases, killing hundreds of civilians and capturing more than 200 hostages. Israel responded by besieging the Palestinian enclave and subjecting it to weeks of intensive bombardments in preparation for a ground incursion.

While the US has pledged its unwavering support for Israel’s actions, many nations have criticized the response as disproportionate. A humanitarian disaster is unfolding in Gaza, after it was virtually cut off from critical supplies and amid a massive bombardment.

This week, Bolivia cut diplomatic ties with Israel in protest against its military tactics in Gaza. Colombia and Chile have recalled their ambassadors to the Jewish state – a move that Israel claimed made them aligned with Iran in “supporting terrorism.” The country has accused Iran, its long-time regional nemesis, of being behind Hamas.

The binary approach that Hayat described resembles the position of the Ukrainian government regarding its own conflict with Russia.

Addressing Israeli MPs last year in an effort to push for the delivery of advanced weapons, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky insisted that Israel can be “a mediator between nations, but not between good and evil.”

The US has been attempting to sway neutral nations to join the Ukrainian side since Kiev’s conflict with Russia escalated in February 2022. However, this effort has been “poisoned” by Washington’s unconditional support for Israel despite mass civilian casualties, prompting some nations to accuse it of hypocrisy.

“They won’t ever listen to us again,” a senior G7 diplomat told the Financial Times last month in relation to the diplomatic effort.

House Quietly Passed Resolution That Suggests Using Force Against Iran

The resolution calls for the US to use 'all means necessary' to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons

The House on Wednesday passed a resolution that suggested the US would use force against Iran in the future in the name of preventing the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The resolution says a nuclear-armed Iran is “unacceptable” and declares that it’s the policy of the US to “use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

A US intelligence report recently affirmed that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, but reality doesn’t stop Iran hawks in the US and Israel from constantly hyping up the threat of a non-existent Iranian nuclear weapons program. The same officials do not officially recognize that Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal.

The resolution passed in a vote of 354-53, with 50 Democrats and three Republicans voting against the measure. Explaining his opposition, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) because it seemed like a call for war.

“Yesterday Congress passed a resolution (354 to 53) that claims Iran possesses all it needs for a nuclear weapon,” Massie wrote on X. “The same resolution says the US should ‘use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.’ Seems like a call for war on Iran. I voted No.”

The resolution pointed to Iran’s uranium enrichment at 60% and its stockpiles of enriched uranium as evidence it could make a bomb. But in order to make a nuclear weapon, uranium needs to be enriched at 90%, and there’s no sign Tehran is considering taking that step.

Retiring Representative Ken Buck Testifies in Colorado’s Trial to Remove President Trump from Ballot

On the fourth day of a lawsuit aimed at barring former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot in Colorado, Congressman Ken Buck was called to testify by Trump’s defense team.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a coalition of six Republicans and unaffiliated Colorado voters, including former state and federal officials, filed a lawsuit seeking to disqualify former President Donald Trump from appearing on the state’s 2024 presidential ballot.

The plaintiffs are represented by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a nonprofit and “nonpartisan” watchdog organization, alongside law firms Tierney Lawrence Stiles LLC, KBN Law, LLC, and Olson Grimsley Kawanabe Hinchcliff & Murray LLC.

The plaintiffs are Norma Anderson, Michelle Priola, Claudine Cmarada, Krista Kafer, Kathi Wright, and Christopher Castilian.

The case argues that Trump violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which disqualifies any individual from holding federal office if they have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the United States.

Congressman Ken Buck was tasked with discrediting the January 6 committee’s report which alleges Trump’s involvement in an insurrection. Buck provided testimony remotely from his office in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.

Buck asserted that the committee’s approach was biased against Trump and motivated by political vendetta. Buck highlighted its failure to cross-examine certain witnesses, challenge specific pieces of evidence, and subpoena particular documents that could have negated allegations against Trump.

“It’s like going into a courtroom as a prosecutor, not having a defense counsel or a defendant. I think, in order to be able to judge someone’s culpability, you’ve got to be able to hear both sides of the story, and in this case, there was not another side,” Buck said.

Buck’s primary testimony focused solely on his experiences from Jan. 6 and his perspectives on the report from the January 6 committee, according to 9 News.

“I voted to certify the election. I thought what happened on January 6 was obviously bad. It was a riot in the Capitol building. It was meant to disturb a proceeding, and I felt that the parts of the report that I saw described those things. It went beyond that in other areas and that’s where I think the cross-examination, in terms of the president’s culpability, would have been important,”

“A police officer came to the microphone and said that tear gas had been dispersed. And we were advised that there were gas masks under our seats, and we should deploy those gas masks. There was clear indication that there was a danger at that point.”

“I came back to my office rather than the secure committee room, and I saw on TV what was going on and I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, there are a lot of people out there.”

Buck disclosed that he had expressed his desire to join the committee to then-Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. However, McCarthy, in his capacity, declined Buck’s request.

Everyone in Ukraine must serve – security chief

Aleksey Danilov’s statement comes as Moscow estimates Kiev’s losses in botched counteroffensive at more than 90,000 soldiers

No Ukrainian citizen should be exempt from serving their country and helping it in the conflict with Russia, Aleksey Danilov, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, has insisted.

In an interview with media outlet Liga on Thursday, Danilov described the idea that every Ukrainian “has to fight a war or perform a service” as a “fundamental truth.” “One should not be surprised. We live in a rather complicated world where we have to defend our country with a crazy neighbor nearby,” he added.

He also addressed a recent article in the Telegraph by former UK defense minister Ben Wallace, who pointed out that “the average age of the [Ukrainian] soldiers at the front is over 40” and suggested that Kiev should reassess the scale of its mobilization by drafting more youth.

“As for the age bracket, the notion that the war is fought only in trenches .. is a thing of the past,” Danilov said, adding that many modern military systems can engage in combat while being stationed in the rear. He also described the idea that everyone in the Ukrainian military should be young as “somewhat distorted.”

Pressed on whether Kiev plans to demobilize any part of its army, particularly those soldiers who have been fighting for many months, the official wouldn’t say whether the country’s top officials had even discussed the issue. He added, however, that, if a decision is made, it should be in the form of a law.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced a general mobilization shortly after the start of hostilities with Russia, barring most men aged between 18 and 60 from leaving the country. The campaign, however, has been marred by rampant corruption, with the Ukrainian leader sacking all regional senior conscription officials in August.

Around the same time, Zelensky also said that the Ukrainian military wanted him to step up mobilization efforts, although he has yet to sign a law lowering the conscription threshold during the mobilization from 27 to 25.

Last month, Sergey Rakhmanin, a member of Ukraine’s parliamentary military committee, predicted that Kiev would likely try to draft more people to replenish losses amid its counteroffensive.

Kiev launched a major push against Russian lines in early June but has since struggled to make any substantial progress. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday that Ukraine “is losing” adding that its troops are suffering from plummeting morale amid high casualty rates. Last month, he claimed that Kiev had lost more than 90,000 service members since the start of the offensive.

Lawmakers Demand Answers From Costco Over Sale Of Surveillance Equipment Made Using 'Banned Chinese Components'

Two bipartisan lawmakers are demanding answers from Costco over its decision to continue selling Chinese-manufactured security products that have been linked to human rights abuses and cybersecurity risks.

In a letter dated Oct. 31, Rep. Christopher Smith (R-N.J.) and Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) questioned the retail giant's continued sale of Lorex security products, noting the company previously had ties to China-based company Dahua, whose products are restricted in the United States by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Lorex is a former subsidiary of camera maker Zhejiang Dahua Technology, a China-based company that was added to the U.S. trade blacklist in 2019 owing to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) treatment of Uyghurs and other predominantly Muslim ethnic minorities.

The U.S. Department of Commerce, in placing the company on the blacklist, said it and other entities "have been implicated in human rights violations and abuses in the implementation of China's campaign of repression, mass arbitrary detention, and high-technology surveillance against Uighurs, Kazakhs, and other members of Muslim minority groups" in China's Xinjiang region.

Additionally, the FCC last year banned the sale of new telecommunications and surveillance equipment made by Dahua, citing an "unacceptable risk" and national security concerns.

Dahua sold Lorex earlier this year to Taiwanese-based company Skywatch for around $72 million.

However, in their letter to Costco Chief Executive W. Craig Jelinek, Mr. Smith and Mr. Merkley said Dahua still supplies all the component parts for the Lorex cameras and other surveillance equipment.

The continued sale of Lorex security equipment throughout the retailer's stores allows Dahua to profit from the U.S. market despite its equipment being banned from U.S. government use, they argued.

Mayor Adams’ inner circle: The longtime pals who have sparked controversy in top NYC gigs

From a key figure in a sprawling NYPD bribery case to an indicted former city buildings commissioner: Mayor Eric Adams’ inner circle is filled with controversy and turmoil.

Hizzoner, who has repeatedly put his longtime aides and allies on the Big Apple’s payroll, has long raised eyebrows for some of his hiring decisions — or mere associations.

Now, an FBI raid on the Brooklyn home of a top fundraiser Brianna Suggs on Thursday has thrust his inner circle back into the spotlight.

Here’s a look at some of Adams’ pals whose hirings or associations have drawn criticism or controversy.

Brianna Suggs

Brianna Suggs, a top fundraiser for Mayor Adams, is the latest of Hizzoner’s cronies to land in hot water.

Suggs, whose Brooklyn home was raided by the feds Thursday, is a close consultant whose firm, Suggs Solutions LLC, has earned more than $150,000 from the mayor’s campaign team since back in 2021.

She is on a monthly retainer for Adams’ political work, city records show. Suggs has also received more than $16,500 in personal payments from the mayor’s accounts, according to campaign finance filings.

Suggs’ ties to Adams date back to when he was Brooklyn’s borough president where she was enlisted as one of his aides, sources said.

She is also believed to have a close knit relationship with Chaplain Ingrid Lewis-Martin — the mayor’s chief advisor, the sources added.

Philip Banks

Hizzoner faced blowback when it emerged he had tapped ex-NYPD chief, Philip Banks, to serve as his administration’s deputy mayor of public safety — despite his ties to a sweeping federal police corruption case involving cops and hookers.

Banks, then the NYPD’s chief of department, stunned the Big Apple back in 2014 when he suddenly retired after turning down a promotion to first deputy commissioner.

It later emerged that he was an unindicted co-conspirator in the NYPD bribery scheme orchestrated by two fundraisers for outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio — Jona Rechnitz and Jeremy Reichberg.

Banks’ and other cops’ relationships with the duo had come under scrutiny as the feds probed whether the businessmen had doled out gifts and foreign trips in exchange for favors.

Banks has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and pointed to the fact that the feds never brought criminal charges against him as proof of his innocence.

Eric Ulrich

Disgraced former city buildings commissioner, Eric Ulrich, 38, was indicted in September for allegedly running a years-long scheme doling out political favors in exchange for more than $150,000 in bribes.

Ulrich stepped down from his lucrative job as the Big Apple’s onetime top building-safety official late last year — just days after it emerged he was being probed as part of a criminal gambling investigation.

He has since pleaded not guilty to a total of 16 felonies that stem from his time serving in three political posts – including his days as Adams’ building chief, a Queens councilman and as one of the mayor’s senior advisors.

GP with unblemished 40-year career gets 6-month suspension for 'vitriolic' anti-vaxx comments - including one that kids were being 'lined up' to get a Covid vaccine that could 'kill them'

A tribunal said her comments risked undermining public faith in other medics

A GP with an unblemished career has been suspended for six months over 'vitriolic' comments she made about Covid and vaccines.

Londonderry-based Dr Mary McCloskey claimed the pandemic was a 'figment' of the media and the Government and that jabs don't work and were killing people.

She also claimed tests and face masks were being used as a psychological weapons to spread fear and experts were 'laughing' at the public via how they named variants of the virus.

Hunter Biden Accuses Fox, NY Post Of Using Him In ‘Disinformation Campaign’ To Destroy Joe Biden

Embattled first son Hunter Biden attacked Fox News and The New York Post in an op-ed, published Thursday by USA Today, in which he accused the two outlets of running a “disinformation campaign” to use his personal struggles to destroy his father, President Joe Biden.

The younger Biden began his piece with a brief history of his battle with substance abuse — and, noting correctly that most Americans know at least one person who has struggled with addiction, said that the only reason anyone cared about his personal issues was the fact that he was the son of the president of the United States.

“My struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and sustained disinformation campaign against him, and an all-out annihilation of my reputation through high-pitched but fruitless congressional investigations and, more recently, criminal charges for possessing an unloaded gun for 11 days five years ago – charges that appear to be the first-ever of their kind brought in the history of Delaware,” Biden claimed.

He went on to say that he himself was “not a victim,” but he worried that the focus on his personal issues — as a means by which to attack Joe Biden — would result in other people who struggle with addiction feeling marginalized and being afraid to ask for help because they saw his private demons splashed all over the front page or headlining the 10 o’clock news.

“What troubles me is the demonization of addiction, of human frailty, using me as its avatar and the devastating consequences it has for the millions struggling with addiction, desperate for a way out and being bombarded by the denigrating and near-constant coverage of me and my addiction on Fox News (more airtime than GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis) and in The New York Post (an average of two stories a day over the past year),” he said.

Critics weren’t buying Hunter Biden’s argument, however.

“1) I pray Hunter is in fact sober, though this level of untreated narcissism suggests serious ongoing problems. 2) legit LOL at USA Today for running this on-its-face absurd interference for Biden family business corruption,” The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway said.

VERY URGENT: federal researchers find evidence Covid mRNA jabs cause seizures in young children

The safety signal appeared in a huge Food and Drug Administration database; did the Centers for Disease Control know before recommending Covid boosters for kids last month?

Young children had a significantly elevated risk of seizures and convulsions after receiving mRNA Covid jabs, Food and Drug Administration scientists have found.

The FDA researchers quietly released the finding, which comes from an analysis of insurance claims databases, earlier this week. The FDA and Centers for Disease Control did not meet a deadline on questions if CDC knew of the finding before it advised kids to receive more mRNA Covid boosters last month.

The FDA did not quantify the risk or severity of the seizures in the paper. But the published data suggest the risk appears to be about 1 in 2,500 completed vaccinations within a week of a shot. Older kids also had increased risk, though it did not hit statistical significance.

The CDC’s push for more mRNA for young kids was already controversial, since most countries no longer make Covid boosters available to children (or most healthy adults). The seizure finding will only increase the scrutiny CDC faces.

Soldier took 14-year-old he messaged on Discord from home twice for sex acts, feds say

A U.S. Army soldier traveled over a thousand miles to a 14-year-old girl in Maine and took her away from home — twice, federal prosecutors said. He’s accused of doing so to engage in sex acts with her.

Christopher Meza was 20 and stationed at Fort Hood in Texas when he met the then-13-year-old on an online gaming platform and started messaging her over the social platform Discord in late 2020 and in early 2021, according to court documents.

Their messages and video chats “became increasingly sexual,” and they discussed getting married and living together in Texas, a government trial brief says.

Before Meza, who is now 22, is accused of taking the girl away from Maine on two separate occasions, he suggested the teen should go by a different name, lie about her age to make their “relationship more socially acceptable” and even discussed becoming her legal guardian, according to prosecutors.

Hypocrite: Bill Gates is funding 70 million acres of Deforestation in North America

Bill Gates and other investors are betting Kodama Systems can reduce carbon dioxide in the air by chopping down and burying trees. The move will see 70 million acres of forests, mostly in the Western United States, cut down over the next decade.

After cutting down the trees, Kodama plans to bury them – to reduce global warming. However, “global warming” is a scam to enable the rich to become richer and the real reason for the destruction of forests is to reap saleable carbon offsets.

Oded Yinon Plan in action - got to populate Greater Israel somehow

Amid Eruption of Global Anti-Semitism, Many Israelis Say They Feel Safer in Jewish State at War

Stars of David were daubed on doors of Jewish homes, a Jewish community center was firebombed, and a convicted Islamic State terrorist was arrested on suspicion of planning to drive a truck into a pro-Israel rally. Snapier began to conceal his religion and nationality, even from members of his supposedly inclusive community.

"It was pretty clear you shouldn't speak Hebrew in the subway or on the street, and even when you texted, you tried to hide it," Snapier, who returned to Tel Aviv last week, told the Washington Free Beacon. "On social media, a lot of queer people—who always talk about diversity and acceptance—came out against Israel. These are people who go to the same parties as me and have the same friends. I thought we shared the same values, but apparently we don't. That made me afraid."

Israelis have generally been stunned by what they see as the hateful response in some corners to Oct. 7, the worst pogrom against Jews since the Holocaust, and the displays of anti-Semitism across the globe have reaffirmed Israel's foundational purpose: to allow the Jewish people to defend themselves.

"I feel safe here. I'm not afraid to walk down the street," Snapier said. "My fear now is whether we can continue to exist as Jews."

Hezbollah Leader 'Delivers Ultimatum to U.S.,' Demands 'Ceasefire in Gaza by Friday or Else Israel Will Face War'

Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah reportedly delivered an ultimatum to the US demanding that Israel agree to a ceasefire in Gaza by Friday or else he will announce "a general mobilization of Shia units for war with Israel and will launch military operations against Israel from all directions."

From TASS, "Hezbollah to mobilize fighters for war against Israel unless there is ceasefire in Gaza":

Leader of the Shia party Hezbollah Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah has through mediators given an ultimatum to the US, demanding an end to Israel's military operation in Gaza by November 3, Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper reports, citing Iranian diplomatic sources.

According to the sources, if the US fails to meet this demand, in his Friday televised address, Sheikh Nasrullah will announce "a general mobilization of Shia units for war with Israel and will launch military operations against Israel from all directions."

Al-Jarida notes that the Hezbollah leader agreed the ultimatum with Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, who arrived in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Tuesday.

According to the newspaper's sources, General Qaani stated earlier at a meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council that Tehran's regional allies might lose popular support if they failed "to join the fight to support the Palestinian people."

Hezbollah has been hyping Nasrallah's speech for days.

66% of US voters want a ceasefire, but only 3% of Congress supports one.

Time for a party that listens to the people instead of AIPAC. #CeasefireForGaza

US Rep. Mast, a Former IDF Solider, Denies There Are ‘Innocent Palestinian Civilians’

The Florida Republican recently wore his IDF uniform on Capitol Hill

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), a former member of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), dismissed the idea there are “innocent Palestinian civilians” in a debate on the House floor.

“I would encourage the other side to not so lightly throw around the idea of innocent Palestinian civilians, as frequently said,” Mast said on Wednesday. “I don’t think we would so lightly throw around the term ‘innocent Nazi civilians’ during World War II.”

Mast recently wore his IDF uniform on Capitol Hill, demonstrating his staunch support for Israel. “As the only member to serve with both the United States Army and the Israel Defense Forces, I will always stand with Israel,” he wrote on X in a post showing pictures of him in the uniform.

A Straight Look at the Jewish Lobby

For many years Israel has violated well established standards of international law and has defied numerous United Nations resolutions in its occupation of conquered lands, in extra-judicial killings, and in repeated acts of military aggression.

Most of the world regards Israel’s policies, and especially its oppression of Palestinians, as illegal and outrageous. This international consensus is reflected, for example, in numerous UN resolutions condemning Israel, which have been approved with overwhelming majorities. / 1 “The whole world,” said United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan in 2002, “is demanding that Israel withdraw [from occupied Palestinian territories]. I don’t think the whole world … can be wrong.” / 2

Among the world’s nations, the United States stands out as the most devoted backer of Israel. With very few exceptions, even those American politicians and media figures who might sometimes criticize a particular Israeli policy are, nonetheless, vigorous supporters of Israel – and not just as a country, but as an emphatically Jewish ethnic-religious state. In spite of occasional disputes over specific policies, the US continues, as it has for years, to provide Israel with crucial military, diplomatic and financial backing.

Why is the US such a staunch bastion of support for the Jewish state?

One person who has spoken candidly about this has been Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, who was awarded the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize. Addressing an audience in Boston, he said: “But you know as well as I do that, somehow, the Israeli government is placed on a pedestal [in the US], and to criticize it is to be immediately dubbed anti-Semitic … People are scared in this country, to say wrong is wrong because the Jewish lobby is powerful – very powerful.” / 3

Bishop Tutu spoke the truth. Although Jews make up only two or three percent of the US population, they wield immense power and influence – much more than any other ethnic or religious group.

As Jewish author and political science professor Benjamin Ginsberg has pointed out: / 4

“Since the 1960s, Jews have come to wield considerable influence in American economic, cultural, intellectual and political life. Jews played a central role in American finance during the 1980s, and they were among the chief beneficiaries of that decade’s corporate mergers and reorganizations. Today, though barely two percent of the nation’s population is Jewish, close to half its billionaires are Jews. The chief executive officers of the three major television networks and the four largest film studios are Jews, as are the owners of the nation’s largest newspaper chain and the most influential single newspaper, the New York Times … The role and influence of Jews in American politics is equally marked …

“Jews are only three percent of the nation’s population and comprise eleven percent of what this study defines as the nation’s elite. However, Jews constitute more than 25 percent of the elite journalists and publishers, more than 17 percent of the leaders of important voluntary and public interest organizations, and more than 15 percent of the top ranking civil servants.”

Stephen Steinlight, former Director of National Affairs of the American Jewish Committee, similarly notes the “disproportionate political power” of Jews, which is “pound for pound the greatest of any ethnic/cultural group in America.” He goes on to explain that “Jewish economic influence and power are disproportionately concentrated in Hollywood, television, and in the news industry.” / 5
