On a recent CNN’s State of The Union episode, Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) made a statement seen by many as suggesting black voters are “too dumb” to fully understand political matters.

This comment has drawn controversy, as the representative was interpreting a recent poll showcasing the surge in popularity for former President Donald Trump among Black voters, traditionally a Democratic stronghold.

The poll suggested that, if an election were held today, former President Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden, securing over 300 electoral votes. Data shows a significant shift of support from Black voters toward Trump. This support now stands at 22 percent for Trump, a figure that no Republican has seen in modern presidential politics.

However, instead of reflecting on why such a shift might be occurring or considering what the Democratic Party could do to regain trust, Rep. Crockett’s response appeared to belittle the intelligence of Black voters. She said:

Here’s the deal. Perception is reality.

And so when you look at the data that was provided in this poll, it talks about how people feel and when people decide whether they’re going to the poll or whether they’re not going to the poll, it’s all about how you feel in that moment. And so while the facts may not align with their feelings, their feelings are dictating their reality. Their reality is that they said that they feel better or they felt better when Trump was in office. But we’ve been trying to push back.

We’ve got some very popular African-American artists that are out here saying things like, “Oh, I got checks when Trump was in office. I want those checks again,” not understanding that really came from Congress.

So we’ve got a couple of things the perception issue, and then we also have an issue as it relates to civics in this country and people not understanding exactly how any of this works.

Crockett is suggesting that Black voters might be making decisions based on misperceptions or a lack of understanding of the political process.

Prominent figures and political commentators weighed in regarding Crockett’s comment.

American commentator and television presenter Tomi Lahren commented, “Is she saying that black voters are too dumb to understand what’s going on? Wow! This is bad.”

Twitter user Brandon Saario commented, “Crockett is sayingpeople are not smart enough to know how good things are.”

Another user wrote, “It’s the economy Crockett that’s effecting black votersnot feelings, High food prices gas rent interest rates alot of people homeless families can’t go out restaurant prices have doubled.”

Steven Crowder dropped a bombshell on Louder with Crowder on Monday morning, making public pages from what's become known as the Nashville school shooter's manifesto. He showed pages from that alleged manifesto that he received, showing that shooter Audrey Hale was driven by anti-white hate and an insidious desire to murder blonde children at Covenant Catholic School. After he aired the photographs of three, hand-written sheets of loose leaf paper, YouTube took it down.

YouTube sent a message to Crowder, which he shared on free speech platform X. "We wanted to let you know our team reviewed your content and we think it violates our violent criminal organizations policy," YouTube said, conflating the release of primary source information obtained by an investigative journalist and an actual crime syndicate.

"We know you may not have realized this was a violation of our policies," they continued, "so we're not applying a strike to your channel. However, we ahve remove the following content from YouTube." And the listed the shocking episode containing details about the shooter's motivations that even a FOIA request could not spring loose from an FBI and police department that have refused to make the information public ever since the March 27 shooting.

Hale stole the lives of three children and three adult faculty members of the school after breaking in and opening fire before she was killed by officers responding to the scene. The existence of a manifesto was made known within days of the shooting, but no amount of pressure has been able to pry it loose. The three pagers Crowder revealed show that the deeply disturbed Hale was intent on the murders, hoped to kill more, resented the private school and apparent wealth of the students, and sought death herself.

"We realize this may be disapppointing news," YouTube explained to Crowder, "but it's our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all. If you think we've made a mistake, you can appeal this decision—you'll find more details below."

YouTube detailed their policy for Crowder, saying that "Content that glorifies violent criminal organization or incites violence is not allowed on YouTube." They claimed to review incidents of allaged violations on a "case-by-case basis."

Crowder discovered earlier on Monday that Facebook was also not allowing the content to appear on their site. Crowder works with Rumble, a free speech-oriented streaming platform, where apparently Crowder will drop more information regarding Hale's disturbed, murderous writings on Tuesday.

UTAH SENATE CANDIDATE AND RIVERTON MAYOR TRENT STAGGS IS ASKING HIS FELLOW CANDIDATES TO SIGN A “CONTRACT WITH UTAH” THAT WOULD CHANGE MAJOR ASPECTS OF POLITICAL LIFE IN THE STATE.

The seven-point contract, obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller, was developed by Staggs and his Senate campaign in order to “reduce corruption within the halls of Congress” and “restore fiscal order” by focusing on a few key areas of legislation.

“Right now, Washington is broken. Fixing it starts with getting special interests out of Congress,” Staggs told the Daily Caller. “I’m making sure Utah voters know exactly where I stand, and I’m asking all others running for the Senate to do the same.”

Staggs’ contract, named after former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s 1994 “Contract with America” agenda, seeks to ban the trading of individual stocks by members of Congress and their families. The contract would also ban lobbyist donations to candidates and sitting members and prevent lawmakers and “high ranking federal government officials” from lobbying for at least 10 years after leaving government service.

If lawmakers cause a government shutdown, they won’t be paid and won’t be eligible for back pay either, according to point five of the contract. Point six requires that all appropriations bills be single subject, while point seven calls for a balanced budget amendment.

If the contract were were implemented, it would change everything about the nature of politics. By removing so many avenues for financial corruption, members of Congress might actually put their voters first … instead of just enriching themselves through countless terms.

Dmitry Kuleba has called on the West to provide Kiev with air defenses to protect energy infrastructure

Ukraine is bracing for “the worst winter” in its history as it prepares for large-scale blackouts due to Russian missile strikes, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has said. Moscow began targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure last autumn in response to the bombing of the Crimean Bridge.

In an interview with the German daily Die Welt on Monday, Kuleba revealed that he had bought “dozens of candles” and his father had bought a truck of firewood in anticipation of Russian attacks. (Boo Hoo)

The minister noted that Kiev would not mind if Germany does not provide it with long-range Taurus missiles but insteadsends more air defense systems, adding that Ukraine will do its best to protect its power plants. (The answer to that is an unequivocal NO. Why aren’t they asking for help to repair their power stations?)

Germany has been reluctant to provide Kiev with long-range weapons. Chancellor Olaf Scholz explained that he does not want to see these missiles used against targets in Russia. Commenting on the issue in September, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock described this weaponry as extremely sophisticated, adding that “when we deliver something, it has to work in the field.”

The view that Ukraine is about to face a difficult winter was shared by National Security Council chief Aleksey Danilov, who said in September that top Ukrainian officials had discussed the issue on numerous occasions, adding that it is also up to local communities to provide people with electricity.

In October, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galuschenko acknowledged that if Russia carries out massive strikes on the energy infrastructure, “they would cause significant damage to the power grid,” with the potential for blackouts. He urged people to buy generators and take other measures to reinforce the resilience to outages.

Earlier in July, he estimated that Russian attacks had damaged about 50% of all power-generating facilities, with some of them beyond repair.

Russia first started launching large-scale strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in October 2022, in response to what it described as a “terrorist attack” on the strategic Crimean Bridge. While Ukrainian officials initially denied involvement, this summer, Vasily Malyuk, the head of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), claimed responsibility for the attack.

Donald Trump randomly pulled a piece of paper out of his suit jacket during testimony in Manhattan court Monday — claiming it would completely clear his name in the $250 million civil fraud case against him and asking to show it to the judge.

The former president, 77, was apparently requesting to show both the judge and a prosecutor a disclaimer clause from a financial statement that New York Attorney General Letitia James has accused him of lying on in her lawsuit.

As he testified at trial in the suit, Trump held the document up and asked if the judge would “like to have it.”

The Pentagon asked Congress to replace dwindling US military stockpiles by passing a measure with more funding for Ukraine days before Republican lawmakers torpedoed additional assistance for Kyiv.

Undersecretary of Defense Michael McCord told House and Senate lawmakers in a Sept. 29 letter that just $1.6 billion remains of the $25.9 billion passed to replenish US weapons stockpiles, including artillery rounds, rockets and missiles for Ukraine’s war against Russia.

Separately, the US has $5.4 billion left to provide weapons and equipment from its stockpiles, which the Pentagon secured after having previously overvalued some equipment.

“We have already been forced to slow down the replenishment of our own forces to hedge against an uncertain funding future,” McCord wrote. “Failure to replenish our military services on a timely basis could harm our military’s readiness.”

This truly is the ugly truth, and it should scare every American.

The United States is in big, big trouble, and in the midst of all this international drama, it should be criminal how this regime has completely lost sight of what’s happening in our own backyard. Zelensky Refuses To Hold Elections in Wartime Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said presidential elections will not be held in the country next year, saying thatit would be "irresponsible" to do so during the ongoing war.

"We all understand that now, in wartime, when there are many challenges, it is utterly irresponsible to engage in topics related to an election in such a frivolous manner," Zelensky said in his nightly video address to the nation on Monday.

Prior to the war, Ukraine's presidential elections were scheduled for March 2024, but the country's constitution mandates that they cannot go ahead until any declaration of martial law is lifted, which is unlikely to happen in the near future. Ukraine was due to hold a parliamentary election in October.

Martial law in Ukraine, which must be extended every 90 days, is next set to expire on November 15. Zelensky first declared martial law on February 24, 2022, the day Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of his country.

"We need to recognize that this is a time for defense, a time for battle, upon which the fate of the state and its people depend… I believe that elections are not appropriate at this time," Zelensky said.

Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexey Danilov has also said that "no elections can be held" under martial law in the country.

Days earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during an online appearance at the World Policy Conference in the United Arab Emirates that Zelensky was weighing the pros and cons of a presidential vote in spring 2024.

"We are not closing this page. The president of Ukraine is considering and weighing the different pros and cons," said Kuleba.

Zelensky has said he would run for second term if an election proceeds.

The Ukrainian leader's approval rating in Ukraine remains near the record-highs set shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion of the country began, data from Gallup shows.

Respondents were surveyed in July and August and the data was released on October 16. A year and half after Putin's invasion, 81 percent said they approve of Zelensky, the survey showed.

The latest Gallup result remains near to a record-high approval rating of84 percentfrom September 2022.The polling firm does not state how many people were polled, but said support for Zelensky remains strong "across all demographic groups, geographic regions and income groups."

8,000 Ukrainians face criminal charges for evading draft – media

More than 2,000 cases have reportedly already made it to the country’s courts

Ukrainian investigators have opened more than 8,200 criminal cases over draft dodging since the escalation of conflict between Moscow and Kiev in February last year, Ukrainian outlet Vesti.ua reported on Monday.

The country’s Zakarpatye Region, which borders both Slovakia and Hungary, has launched at least 967 of these probes, the outlet reported, citing police sources. Eastern Dnepropetrovsk Region reportedly has 763 cases and southern Nikolayev Region comes in third, with some 644 probes. Lvov and Volyn Regions made it into the top five as well, with 555 and 491 draft dodging cases registered there, respectively.

While the number of criminal cases against people evading the draft remains arguably low, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly voiced their concerns over the actual scale of the problem in the country. In mid-October, for instance, Deputy Defense Minister Natalya Kalmykovaclaimed that “tens, hundreds of thousands of people” have been dodging the draft amid the conflict with Russia.

“Unfortunately, we see a lot of situations … when people don’t want and plan to avoid mobilization somehow, they need to defend their country,” she stated, adding that officials have been working on legislation that will “help settle this issue.”

Apart from closing in on the dodgers, the authorities have been actively exploring other options to bolster the ranks of the military, which was heavily battered in the botched summer counteroffensive, with Moscow estimating Kiev’s losses at more than 90,000 soldiers during the effort. The adopted measures include greatly loosening health requirements for the would-be recruits, and enabling people with various chronic conditions and mental health issues to serve.

Earlier this month, Defense Secretary Aleksey Danilov ultimately claimed that no Ukrainian citizen should be exempt from serving their country altogether, one way or another. The idea that every Ukrainian “has to fight a war or perform a service” was a “fundamental truth,”the official said.

Ukraine’s counteroffensive is finished – governor

The attempt to cut Russia’s land corridor to Crimea in Zaporozhye Region has failed, Evgeny Balitsky has said

Moscow’s forces have stopped the Ukrainian counteroffensive dead in its tracks, Evgeny Balitsky, the governor of Zaporozhye Region, has said.

He further described what he calledKiev’s last-ditch attempts to breach Russian defenses as not particularly impressive. In recent months, Zaporozhye has emerged as a scene of some of the fiercest fighting.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Balitsky stated that “the enemy has been halted, as has been its much-hyped counteroffensive.” He said that the ongoing fighting near the settlements of Rabotino and Shcherbaki and on the Vremievsky Ridgewas “almost an agony for the Ukrainian regime.”

The official declared that Ukrainian forces, which have been trying to storm Russian positions for months, have “completely run out of steam.”

“Now, when the enemy launches an attack, they deploy only small forces because their companies are understrength,” he added.

According to Balitsky, the plan to reach the Sea of Azov and cut Russia’s land bridge to Crimea –widely seen as the main objective of Kiev's summer campaign – has been thwarted. He also claimed that Ukrainian attacks are now largely unsupported by armor, as Russian forces have knocked out many vehicles.

The governor stated that thecurrent “meat onslaught”had been organized by Kiev’s Western backers, suggesting that the latterwould prefer to lose Ukrainian soldiers rather than their own expensive military equipment.

Ukraine began a large-scale offensive in early June, but has failed to make substantial progress. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said last week that “the Kiev regime is losing.” He has previously estimated Ukraine’s losses at more than 90,000 troops, nearly 600 tanks, and 2,000 armored vehicles since the start of the push.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials have admitted difficulties with the campaign, blaming a lack of progress on delays in Western support, strong Russian defenses, and extensive minefields as well as Moscow’s air superiority.

Last week, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, Valery Zaluzhny, characterized the frontline situation as a “stalemate” due to the level of technological prowess of both sides. That assessment, however, was rejected by Ukrainian President VladimirZelensky, who insisted that while hiscountry found itself in a “difficult” situation, it still had the initiative.
