We still value life as a culture. We happen to place a higher value on those that are already conscious. Look at what's happening in the ME. Look at how much higher a value we place on some than those in other places. Religion has done this to humanity. Anything taken on belief can and often does become a religion.

If that were the case conservatives would have made public welfare for women with children a top priority, and every foster child would grow up in a castle. Hell, that's something Christ might do if he were in charge.

Oh how much conservatives virtue signal for that which they cannot control versus things they could affect but choose not to. Again, if Christ were here, would he not ensure children with no family and resources would have the best society could offer? If you believe that, then what keeps you from doing what you can to change it? It doesn't start in someone else's womb. It starts where you can make a difference. Show everyone how much you value life by speaking out against the destruction of it in wars. Speak out against how children are treated in the foster care system. At least try to convince people you care about others more than you care about controlling them. Until then, your points are moot, and your beliefs take priority over the reality you reject.
The Pro-life crowd should focus on those that are here and now and save a life that can be saved instead of those they can't.
