Subject: Planned Protests Downtown Sacramento Friday and Saturday
Good afternoon,
We are passing along information received from reliable sources familiar with the subject matter, i.e., protests in response to the tensions in the middle east are planned for Friday and Saturday.
As of now, we’ve been told:
• Friday, 11/17/23 - Beginning around noon and lasting until 5:00 p.m. the protest group will start at the Capitol and will march to the Convention Center; they will end their march at the Memorial Auditorium.
• Saturday 11/18/23 - Beginning around 3 p.m. and lasting to 6:00 p.m. the protestors will meet at the Memorial Auditorium and march to the Convention Center.
• Both days the Sacramento Police Department will have a large number of officers on-duty.
As your safety is one of main priorities, we wanted to make you aware of these anticipated protests in our vicinity.
