You're not providing any information that could help with a diagnosis. Is VLC even the right tool? I never use it. Try ffmpeg.
As for playback, the fact that the app can play the videos is the proof that you are doing something wrong.
>Why don't you try downloading one and posting it here yourself?
Here's a ten-second sample. The app works. I know because I wrote it. I never use VLC because it has never worked for me. 90% of the time it won't even play a video, let alone download anything. Maybe VLC just doesn't work for you. Have you tried anything else?
Are you feeling down, bro?
Do not fret. I'm working on a new version of the app which can actually download the videos as MP4. Turns out that all I have to do is concatenate the video segments and, voila, an MP4 file.
P.S. Where are the other 43,910 hours of video???
The J6 download app has been updated
Now features the ability to download the videos as MP4.
Support for the DASH format has proven to be rather sparse and inconsistent. I can play the DASH file in SMPlayer but I can't get it to work with VLC (quite frankly, VLC has always been problematic for me). FFMPEG seems to be fine with DASH though I have not thoroughly tested it.
Please report any issues here.

>no way to download mp4's until yesterday.
That is incorrect. The problem was tool choice. You guys did not try ffmpeg. Nor anything else besides VLC and some online site (neither of which worked though they should have).
I suspected that the DASH format might be problematic but I had no way to know that people would be trying to work with sticks and stones instead of using proper video editing tools. It took more than three weeks for somebody to finally complain about it.
Anons failed to meet me halfway by at least coming into this properly prepared with tools. You made me look like an idiot when it was your own damn failure. Thanks for that.
Now you have what you need. But maybe not. If the plan is to flood this thread with mini clips then you're not doing the job. We need curated clips that highlight important context. But you would need proper tools for such work so I guess that's a bridge too far.
Anybody aware yet that new J6 videos have been uploaded to Rumble?

Working on a new version of the J6 downloader to handle this.
New J6 Rumble channel

And a new downloader:

P.S. Most of videos are rather useless. What is there to see in the middle of the night?
>Do you just mean clips that are truly analyzed as opposed to posted "as is"?
Yup, that's what I mean. What's the point of posting vids where nothing of interest is happening?
For example, if a person of interest appears in several videos (cop, Antifa, fed, whatever), it would be helpful to combine all of the scenes involving that individual into one clip.
