Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones met virtually on Monday with the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, he announced on his broadcast.
A source familiar with the investigation confirmed the meeting to CNN.
“I just had a very intense experience being interrogated by the January 6 committee,” Jones said on his broadcast on Monday. “They were polite, but they were dogged.”
Jones said that, by his lawyer’s count, he had pleaded the Fifth Amendment “almost 100 times” and that he had been told to do so “on advice of counsel.”
Jones said that while he had wanted to answer the questions, he was afraid to do so because he believes that the committee, specifically Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, would twist his words,
and Jones said he had been afraid of not answering all questions correctly and potentially perjuring himself.
“The questions were overall pretty reasonable,” Jones said. “And I wanted to answer the questions, but at the same time it’s a good thing I didn’t,
because I’m the type that tries to answer things correctly even though I don’t know all the answers, and they can kind of claim that that’s perjury, because about half the questions I didn’t know the answer to.”
Jones said he had been shown “a bunch of emails” that he had not seen before. He also said he believes that the committee has gotten access to his phone because he was shown text messages from his phone,
including messages with January 6 rally organizers Cindy Chafian and Caroline Wren, who also have been subpoenaed by the committee.
“They have everything that’s already on my phones and things, because I saw my text messages to Caroline Wren and Cindy Chafian and some of the event organizers,” Jones said.
On his show, Jones shared that the panel had asked him repeatedly who his White House contact was to help with rally planning and organizing.
Jones said that Caroline Wren, a major fundraiser for the Donald Trump campaign, was his contact for rallies on January 5 and 6.
Jones suggested that Wren was with a group of officials at the Ellipse on January 6 who led him “to the back of the stage so we could then go and get around the crowd and go lead the march.”
Jones said he had sought to direct people to a spot near the Capitol where organizer Ali Alexander planned to hold a permitted rally. He said he did not support people going into the Capitol, which he called “so stupid and so dumb.”

Here's a ten-second sample. The app works. I know because I wrote it. I never use VLC because it has never worked for me. 90% of the time it won't even play a video, let alone download anything. Maybe VLC just doesn't work for you. Have you tried anything else?

Support for the DASH format has proven to be rather sparse and inconsistent. I can play the DASH file in SMPlayer but I can't get it to work with VLC (quite frankly, VLC has always been problematic for me). FFMPEG seems to be fine with DASH though I have not thoroughly tested it.

That is incorrect. The problem was tool choice. You guys did not try ffmpeg. Nor anything else besides VLC and some online site (neither of which worked though they should have).
I suspected that the DASH format might be problematic but I had no way to know that people would be trying to work with sticks and stones instead of using proper video editing tools. It took more than three weeks for somebody to finally complain about it.

Yup, that's what I mean. What's the point of posting vids where nothing of interest is happening?
For example, if a person of interest appears in several videos (cop, Antifa, fed, whatever), it would be helpful to combine all of the scenes involving that individual into one clip.

I've spent hours watching the first 15 minutes of the footage from the camera in clips 1-18 and can tell you there are atleast 30 individuals who are clearly pantifa.

Rumble Hit With "Unprecedented" Cyber Attack After Posting J6 Security Cam Footage
Free speech video hosting platform Rumble was hit with an “unprecedented” cyber attack shortly after new security camera footage from January 6 was posted on the platform.
Last week it was revealed that the GOP-controlled Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight had created a new Rumble channel to post hours of security footage from Capitol Police taken on January 6, 2021.
“The first few videos were posted to the Rumble channel on Dec. 5. By the next day, the collection grew to 135 clips—each about 10 minutes long. The channel had nearly 700 followers on Dec. 7,” reported the Epoch Times.
Apparently, that upset some people.
Shortly after, Rumble was hit by a massive and seemingly organized attack that left people unable to upload or watch content.
“I can confirm that this attack has been unprecedented and has been happening since this weekend,” Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski posted on X.
“I also suspect it is political, coming from activists and/or organizations who want to censor our creators, and related to J6 videos being posted on Rumble,” he added.
Rumble was only able to completely restore services last night.
“A major thank you to our cyber security partners and our entire team. This was a massive learning experience that will only make us stronger,” said the company.
“A big thank you to all users and creators who have been incredibly patient with us during this time.”

Rumble has backed off on their attempt to block my downloader. The cookies didn't work. I'm not sure that there is anything at all that they can do to block the app short of reworking their system architecture.
I'll be keeping an eye out for further attempts to block me. Unfortunately, the app has to be changed every time they mess with something on their end. This could turn into a spy-versus-spy scenario like the one with the 8kun Authentigator (kek).
I can't say for sure that Rumble is specifically targeting my app. Could be that they are trying to block something else. Quite frankly, hardly anyone is using the J6 downloader since I have only promoted it here in this thread.

The original 8 playlists have been removed from Rumble. Why did they do that? Will they be restored?
Also, only 360p and 480p are available. You peons have been denied the 720p and 1080p formats. The powers-that-be don't want you to be able to identify the feds.
For now, the 720p and 1080p download options are still shown in the downloader app. I'll change that when it becomes clear that those formats will continue to be denied.

I don't care who does or doesn't use my app. I made it because it's what I do.
Rumble has an issue. The playlists page will only show a maximum of 200 playlists but the J6 video account has about 240 playlists. Exactly 19,111 videos have been uploaded at this time. Only 15,983 videos are accessible via the playlists. This is an average of 80 videos per playlist which, if you do the math, means that 40 playlists are not discoverable. Each time videos are added and new playlists constructed, more videos will go down the rabbit hole.
I don't know if this will be fixed by the Rumble devs. I am currently working to find a way around this.
J6 downloader has been updated
The dropdown box for the playlists has been improved. Each playlist is now dated and the name (taken from the thumbnail alt tag) provides a short (though cryptic) description of the camera location.
You can now get the direct links to the videos. This is useful for copying the video link to an external video player or you can use the link for downloading (note that you will need to provide the correct file name manually if you don't use the provided download method).
I was able to find 14 of the 40 missing playlists (the recovered playlists are indicated in the dropdown box by the lack of a date). I tried several search engines and only Startpage was able to find the playlists. I dunno how to get the rest of them. Rumble only shows 200 of the most recent playlists. It's like the way breads fall off the catalog.

The issue of the playlist count being limited to 200 has been fixed by the Rumble devs. We are now at 402 playlists including one which is still unlisted for some reason and so is added by the downloader (13 others which I had recovered are now no longer missing).
With these 402 playlists, we are now at a video count of 33641. Oomph! However, the actual number of videos is 33711 so one playlist representing 70 videos appears to be missing.

good work. the problem as anon sees it is not downloading the vids but watching them. One anon can't do it alone, and randomly watching a playlist is a waste of time. Someone'll have to organize it and motivate anons or it won't happen.

If you look at the list of playlists in the downloader (not on Rumble because Rumble does not sort the list), you can see that the cameras with adjacent numbering are, for the most part, either adjacent physically or in similar locations (like stairwells). Given a map of the area, we could easily eliminate a lot of cameras as not being of interest because they are nowhere near the action. There is no point in bothering with cameras in the stairwells unless there is a reason to want to track someone's movements.
Is there a way to get a map of Capitol Hill so we can figure out which cameras we need to watch? Better yet, a map of the camera locations (which would be totally awesome).
We need a leader. I'm not it. I made the download app and that will be the extent of my involvement. If there is a need, I am quite prepared to work on an automated downloader to, say, download all videos within a certain time range for a certain camera. Somebody just needs to ask.

Energy Department Announces $100 Million In Funding To Refurbish US Coal Plants
The Department of Energy on Friday announced a $100 million funding package to revamp the nation's existing coal-fired power plants, in a bid to support the US coal industry.
The DOE said in a statement that it had issued a notice of funding opportunity for "practical, high-impact projects" aimed at modernization and refurbishment - including projects designed to enhance efficiency, extend operational lifespan, and improve the performance of coal and natural gas facilities.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that the initiative is designed to keep US coal plants running and ensure access to affordable energy (as data center energy demands are shoving working class families in the financial hurt locker).
"For years, the Biden and Obama administrations relentlessly targeted America’s coal industry and workers, resulting in the closure of reliable power plants and higher electricity costs," Wright said in a statement.
"Thankfully, President [Donald] Trump has ended the war on American coal and is restoring common sense energy policies that put Americans first."
As the Epoch Times notes further, the initiative follows the DOE’s announcement in September that it would invest $625 million in funding to expand and reinvigorate the U.S. coal industry in an effort to increase energy output.

Trump Tariff Deal With China Opens Door For "Operation Warp Speed 2.0" To Exit Beijing's Rare Earth Trap
Two weeks after a sudden flareup over Chinese rare earth mineral exports nearly sparked another market meltdown, the issue has been resolved, at least according to the Trump admin.
According to a fact sheet published by the White House on Saturday which outlined some details of the trade pact agreed to earlier this week by President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, China will effectively suspend implementation of additional export controls on rare earth metals and will issue general licenses valid for exports of rare earths, gallium and germanium “for the benefit of U.S. end users and their suppliers around the world" meaning the effective removal of controls China imposed in April 2025 and October 2022. The US and China previously said Beijing would suspend more restrictive controls announced in October 2025 for one year.
Washington will also pause some of Trump’s so-called reciprocal tariffs on China for an additional year and is halting plans to implement a 100% tariff on Chinese exports to the US that was threatened for November. The White House also said that the US will further extend the expiration of certain Section 301 tariff exclusions, currently due to expire on Nov. 29, 2025, until Nov. 10, 2026.
Meanwhile, China will also terminate investigations targeting US companies in the semiconductor supply chain, including those into Nvidia and Qualcomm, Bloomberg reported.
However, skepticism emerged about the viability of the deal after comparing the readouts of what the White House said was agreed to, and that published by Beijing: what emerges are several key disagreements, prompting some China experts to conclude that "there is no deal" and that "we're going to be doing this again in 1-2 months."
