Facebook, Instagram’s Encyrpted Tech Allows Sexual Deviants To Target Kids

Meta is launching new encryption technology for direct messages on Facebook and Instagram amid protests by the social media giant’s former employees warning the updated system makes it more difficult to track down online child predators.

Earlier this month, the social media giant enabled “end-to-end” encryption for direct messages, which blocks anyone except the sender and receiver from viewing the contents of the communication, on Facebook and Instagram to ensure privacy protection for users.

Zuckerberg’s employees took issue with the encrypting Facebook messages when the project was initially announced in March 2019, prompting workers to resign in protest.

The 39-year-old Meta Chief Executive said at the time that “the future of communication will increasingly shift to private, encrypted services where people can be confident what they say to each other stays secure.”

Former engineer director David Erb quit working at Meta in protest of the initiative. In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Erb, who ran Facebook’s “community integrity” team details how adults find children to prey upon using Facebook’s “People You May Know” algorithm.

“It was a hundred times worse than any of us expected,” he told the publication. “There were millions of pedophiles targeting tens of millions of children.”

Erb warned his superiors that encrypting direct messages on Facebook would provide a safe haven for predators who preyed upon children.

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone predictably downplays his company’s role in facilitating pedophilia and minimizes his former employees’ complaints about the encryption messaging.

“Former employees are entitled to their opinions, but not their own facts. The truth is, while we’d long invested in child safety efforts, in 2018 we began to restrict recommendations for potentially suspicious adults, continued ongoing efforts removing large groups of violating accounts and even supported a successful push to update the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting statute to cover many grooming situations, which previously had been included,” Stone said in a statement to Erb’s allegations.

As the former Meta engineer predicted, months later in May 2020, Department of Homeland Security investigators were notified of Meta users were using the encryption technology to prey on children.

In one instance, Karl Quitter, a Chicago man, exploited the new technology to solicit sexually explicit photos and videos of at least nine teenage girls in the Philippines.

Using the alias “Mathew Jones,” Quitter “preyed on the victims’ financial difficulties, using money transfers to the victims’ families to entice the girls to take the sexually explicit images,” according to federal prosecutors.

In an encrypted message to one 16-year-old victim in 2020, Quitter bribed the underaged girl, promising to send money to her family for medicine and food if she acquiesced to his demands.

Israel Fails To Prove Targeted Gaza Hospital Was Hamas Hub: Washington Post

For weeks, alternative news outlets like The Grayzone and The Intercept have cast major doubts on Israel's claim that the al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza sat atop a major Hamas command center. Now, even an ultimate establishment outlet the Washington Post has likewise found that Israel's claims about the hospital it besieged don't stand up to scrutiny.

Mistrust existed even before the Israeli Defense Forces first besieged the hospital before bombing a departing ambulance convoy, and then raiding the hospital in November. While those who reflexively back Israel at every turn may have been fooled, others rightly rolled their eyes as the Israeli government presented the world with a cartoon version of what was supposed to lie under the hospital, as if that was some kind of proof:

After its Nov. 15 raid of the hospital, the IDF distributed videos and photographs to bolster Israel's claims about the hospital, however the Post notes:

…the evidence presented by the Israeli government falls short of showing that Hamas had been using the hospital as a command and control center, according to a Washington Post analysis of open-source visuals, satellite imagery and all of the publicly released IDF materials.

That raises critical questions, legal and humanitarian experts say, about whether the civilian harm caused by Israel’s military operations against the hospital — encircling, besieging and ultimately raiding the facility and the tunnel beneath it — were proportionate to the assessed threat. – Washington Post

The Post's analysis refuted three cornerstone allegations that Israel had made. First, there is no compelling evidence of military use of the facility by Hamas. Second, contrary to pre-attack claims, the single tunnel under the hospital doesn't connect to five other buildings on the hospital campus that were supposed Hamas operational hubs. Finally, the Post found no proof that hospital wards had tunnel access.

Is It Time To Rethink American Support For Israel?

In the eleventh week of its war with Hamas, Israel, undeterred by U.S. admonitions, continues to demolish an already-shattered Gaza. As senior American officials come in and out of Tel Aviv to meet with Netanyahu’s government, a glaring question looms unanswered: How much influence does America gain from its ardent, often unquestioning support for Israel? With more than $300 billion in military aid since World War II, the U.S. commitment to Israel is not just a matter of foreign policy, but a reflection of our national values and strategic interests. As Israel renders Gaza a dystopian hellscape in the face of international outrage, it is crucial to scrutinize this flow of funds, not only in dollars but in terms of international standing and moral authority.

Since its 1948 foundation, the U.S. has given Israel far more in military aid than any other nation. Uncritical U.S. support for Israel began with America’s 33rd president, Harry Truman publicly recognizing the state 11 minutes after its creation and continued through the successive 13 American presidencies. For most of the intervening 75 years, a country smaller than Massachusetts and roughly one-fifth the size of Kentucky has been the top recipient of financial American military assistance.

The U.S.-Israel partnership is rooted in several geopolitical and domestic considerations, among them the identification with a democracy - though recently Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition threatens notation. Dwight Eisenhower, replacing Truman in the White House in 1953, saw the Jewish State as a nation that largely shares American social values in a part of the world that primarily does not. Ike clung tight to Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and the halls of American power followed.

Lyndon Johnson, ascending to the role of America's 36th president following JFK's assassination in 1963, held perhaps the strongest emotional attachment to Israel of any American president. A deep-rooted historical and religious conviction in the rights of the Jewish people to establish a state in their ancestral territories animated LBJ. Israel served as a central plank in Nixon’s foreign policy when he assumed office in 1969. Nixon’s National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger established Israel as an anchor of American power in the Middle East, an ally with a cutting-edge military force in the world's most volatile region.

The majority of U.S. support is provided through military equipment grants, and from 1950 to 2020, the United States sourced the overwhelming majority of all IDF equipment. The Pentagon and State Department grant Israel access to the world's most sophisticated military technology, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Israel is the only Middle Eastern state to purchase the fifth-generation fighter jet. Israel has a fleet of 50 F-35s, purchased with U.S. assistance, with 25 more on the way.

Another factor in America’s tie with Israel - a critically important one among D.C. decision-makers - is the decades-long outsized influence of pro-Israel lobby groups. Such groups funnel far more funds to congressional candidates than any other group - more than six times that of the gun rights lobby.

For decades, American presidents have declared our tie to Israel "unshakeable," D.C.'s commitment to the Jewish state "ironclad," and American support to Israel as long-term. Israel has served as the beneficiary of all this unwavering assistance: without U.S. weapons, Arab nations would have long ago carved Israel up.

The flow of money continued without ebb In the face of significant settlement expansion in the West Bank. The American spigot continued to pour billions in the face of Netanyahu’s judicial overhaul bill that limited the power of Israel’s High Court and plunged the country into division and chaos. Unblinking American support for Israel is clear. What's less clear is how all this support advances American interests.

A Gang of Hired Hands

Earlier this month, the UN General Assembly voted on a resolution about imposing a ceasefire in Gaza and temporarily halt Israel’s massacre of Gaza civilians. More than 150 states voted yes, 23 abstained, and ten states voted against it. The latter apparently wanted to see the genocide of Palestinians to continue. Predictably, genocidal Israel and its uncle (Uncle Sam) voted against the resolution. But who were the hired hands who also said “No” to the humanitarian gesture? Alphabetically, they are Austria, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Liberia, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, and Paraguay.

AUSTRIA

Servile “pal” of Israel, it is perhaps trying to atone for being the birthplace of Hitler and welcoming the Anschluss… It’s no accident that when hundreds of thousands Soviet Jews emigrated in the ‘70s, Austria was chosen as immigration clearing house.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Czechoslovakia was the first nation to sell arms to Jews who were fighting to establish the illegal Zionist entity in Palestine. Thanks to Zionist publicity, few people know that Israel’s Uzi submachine gun was invented by a Czech. An Israeli made minor modification to the weapon and claimed it as his invention. Since Czechoslovakia was a Soviet satellite, the west kept mum about the theft. Israel has earned billions of dollars from the sale of Uzis. Prague is also eager to endear itself to Washington.

GUATEMALA

A notorious banana republic, Guatemala has a long history as a brutal dictatorship and master of slow-motion genocide of the indigenous “Indians.” For decades, the Israeli military has acted as tutor to Guatemalan strongmen and army, providing them with weapons, training, and effective torture technics perfected on the Palestinians. Following the footsteps of Washington, Guatemala moved its embassy to Jerusalem.

LIBERIA

Since its founding in the early 19th century by freed American slaves, the West African nation has been teacher’s pet of the United States despite chronic corruption, violent lawlessness, and the absence of democracy. Created through American help, the irrelevant “republic” in West Africa would never dream of disobeying its sugar daddy America.

MICRONESIA

As its name indicates, Micronesia is a small country with 600 islets strewn in the Pacific Ocean. It was a U.S. Trust Territory until Washington granted it independence. But the umbilical cord to Washington makes sure Micronesia says “how high?” when Uncle Sam says “Jump.” The archipelago has a population of just over 500,000. Israel was the first to recognize Micronesia’s so-called independence. It regularly opposes any UN vote which might be detrimental to Israel. Some years ago, Israel’s veteran politician Simon Peres said: “Micronesia is one of Israel’s greatest friends.” Tel Aviv offers Micronesia technical and economic assistance and scholarships to Micronesian medical and agricultural students.

FRIGHTENING TRUTH: Airborne mRNA Vaccines are being created that can be delivered straight into the Lungs without the need for Injection

Researchers have developed an airborne mRNA vaccine offering a vehicle by which to rapidly vaccinate the masses without their knowledge or consent.

A team from Yale University has developed a new airborne method for delivering mRNA right to your lungs. The method has also been used to vaccinate mice intranasally, “opening the door for human testing in the near future.”

While scientists may celebrate this invention as a convenient method to vaccinate large populations, skeptics raise obvious concerns about the potential misuse of an airborne vaccine, including the possibility of covert bioenhancements a concept that has previously been suggested in academic literature. (source).

The Study: Polymer nanoparticles deliver mRNA to the lung for mucosal vaccination

In a research conducted on mice, scientists from Yale University developed polymer nanoparticles to encapsulate mRNA, transforming it into an inhalable form for delivery to the lungs. Courtney Malo, who serves as an editor at Science Translational Medicine, the publication that featured the study, explained,

“The ability to efficiently deliver mRNA to the lung would have applications for vaccine development, gene therapy, and more. Here, Suberi et al. showed that such mRNA delivery can be accomplished by encapsulating mRNAs of interest within optimized poly(amine-co-ester) polyplexes [nanoparticles].

Polyplex-delivered mRNAs were efficiently translated into protein in the lungs of mice with limited evidence of toxicity. This platform was successfully applied as an intranasal SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, eliciting robust immune responses that conferred protection against subsequent viral challenge.

These results highlight the potential of this delivery system for vaccine applications and beyond.“

The team, which was led by cellular and molecular physiologist Mark Saltzman, claims that the inhalable mRNA vaccine “successfully protected against “SARS-CoV-2“, and that it “opens the door to delivering other messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics for gene replacement therapy and other treatments in the lungs.”(source)
