Trump Rips Biden Over His Vacations, Says He Refuses To Do Work While On Vacation

Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he thinks the record shows that Democrat President Joe Biden is taking far too many vacations as president, and that when Biden is on the beach he refuses to do any actual work.

ā€¦

Trump replied by saying that when he went on vacation as president, he was always actually working and taking meetings with world leaders and lawmakersā€”and he never made anyone who had urgent business wait for a call back. He called Mar-a-Lago, where he spent some of his holidays as president, the ā€œSouthern White House,ā€ and noted that he regularly packed his schedule even when he was not in the White House.

ā€œI have to say, when I take vacations Iā€™m always working,ā€ Trump said. ā€œThis is really the Southern White House. I have meetings left, right, and all day. Even if Iā€™m playing golf, Iā€™m always playing golf with somebody who is important like heads of countries, senators, et cetera. But itā€™s all work.ā€

ā€¦

ā€œThis guy takes a vacation and he doesnā€™t talk to anybody,ā€ Trump said.ā€œThey say, ā€˜Heā€™ll call you in two or three weeks because heā€™s on vacation.ā€™Did you know that? People call him and they say heā€™ll try getting back to you in the next two to three weeks because heā€™s on vacation.ā€

A recent report found that Biden spent 37% of the time at a getaway location in 2023.

Plot Twist: Man Who Was Arrested at US Capitol for Carrying Machete Was an Illegal Alien RELEASED by Regime Authorities

A man who authorities arrested at the U.S. Capitol for carrying a machete and a knife was an illegal immigrant from Venezuela that federal border authorities previously released from custody, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said Tuesday.

Capitol Police first nabbed Jose Leonardo Marquez, 23, after noticing a machete under his clothes, and ICE took his into custody on Dec. 27, according to the agency. Border Patrol apprehended Marquez on August 21, 2022 and released him from custody ā€œdue to a lack of detention capacity,ā€ enrolling him in the tracking program known as ā€œAlternatives to Detention.ā€

US Supreme Court Could Dismantle Federal Governmentā€™s Powers in 2024

With the U.S. Supreme Court slated to return to session on Jan. 8, the second part of the high courtā€™s term could hand down rulings that either curb or expand the federal governmentā€™s powersā€”sometimes known as the administrative state.

Analysts have said that three cases that the high court is hearing related to the federal bureaucracy this term, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) v. Community Financial Services of America, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) v. Jarkesy, and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo.

SEC v. Jarkesy

Hedge fund manager George Jarkesy was penalized by the SEC for violating securities fraud law, which he appealed. The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the plaintiff, arguing in a ruling that the SEC violated the Constitutionā€™s Seventh Amendment, which provides the right to have a jury trial, and it also found that Congress engaged in overreach by delegating its own power when allowing an agencyā€”in this case, the SECā€”to hold administrative proceedings rather than file a lawsuit in a civil court against Mr. Jarkesy.

CFPB v. Community Financial Services of America

In the CFPB case, the agency had asked the Supreme Court to rescind a ruling by a lower court that determined the agencyā€™s funding structure runs afoul of the Constitution. That ruling was also handed down by the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals earlier this year.

Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo

In May 2023, the high court opted to take the case, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, which will decide on the question whether the court should overrule the Chevron doctrine, which has long been criticized by conservatives who call it unconstitutional.

The case, according to University of Georgia School of Law professor Adam D. Orford, is significant because the Chevron doctrine ā€œis potentially implicated any time a federal agency makes a rule to implement a federal statute and chooses to fill in gaps or do any other thing not specifically contemplated by Congress,ā€ adding that there are ā€œthousands of rulemakingsā€ by agencies each year.
