Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he thinks the record shows that Democrat President Joe Biden is taking far too many vacations as president, and that when Biden is on the beach he refuses to do any actual work.

Trump replied by saying that when he went on vacation as president, he was always actually working and taking meetings with world leaders and lawmakers—and he never made anyone who had urgent business wait for a call back. He called Mar-a-Lago, where he spent some of his holidays as president, the “Southern White House,” and noted that he regularly packed his schedule even when he was not in the White House.

 

“I have to say, when I take vacations I’m always working,” Trump said. “This is really the Southern White House. I have meetings left, right, and all day. Plot Twist: Man Who Was Arrested at US Capitol for Carrying Machete Was an Illegal Alien RELEASED by Regime Authorities

 

A man who authorities arrested at the U.S. Capitol for carrying a machete and a knife was an illegal immigrant from Venezuela that federal border authorities previously released from custody, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said Tuesday.

 

Capitol Police first nabbed Jose Leonardo Marquez, 23, after noticing a machete under his clothes, and ICE took his into custody on Dec. 27, according to the agency. Border Patrol apprehended Marquez on August 21, 2022 and released him from custody “due to a lack of detention capacity,” enrolling him in the tracking program known as “Alternatives to Detention.”

US Supreme Court Could Dismantle Federal Government’s Powers in 2024

 

With the U.S. Supreme Court slated to return to session on Jan. 8, the second part of the high court’s term could hand down rulings that either curb or expand the federal government’s powers—sometimes known as the administrative state.

 

Analysts have said that three cases that the high court is hearing related to the federal bureaucracy this term, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) v. Community Financial Services of America, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) v. Jarkesy, and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo.

 

SEC v. Jarkesy

Hedge fund manager George Jarkesy was penalized by the SEC for violating securities fraud law, which he appealed. The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the plaintiff, arguing in a ruling that the SEC violated the Constitution’s Seventh Amendment, which provides the right to have a jury trial, and it also found that Congress engaged in overreach by delegating its own power when allowing an agency—in this case, the SEC—to hold administrative proceedings rather than file a lawsuit in a civil court against Mr. Jarkesy.

The West and its allies unleashed a swath of sanctions against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine, but the restrictions have yet to compel Moscow to put an end to the war.

 

This is because there's a fundamental flaw in the West's assumptions about Russia's economy that has hampered its efforts to force Moscow's hand to halt the war, said a Russian economist.

 

"The main mistake of Western experts and politicians was to create fairy tales that the entire Russian economy is state-run," Vladislav Inozemtsev, founder of the think tank Moscow Center for Post-Industrial Studies, told the Spanish media outlet El País in a Tuesday report.

 

So sanctions were applied on the basis that Russia's economy is an inflexible state-run behemoth that would collapse quickly, he said.

 

"But that was a mistake, because the Russian economy is very much a market economy," added Inozemtsev.

 

Unlike the collapse of the Soviet Union's planned economy following its dissolution, Russia's economy is humming along because most employment is concentrated in the private sector, which has found ways to skirt sanctions.

 

Russia's massive oil trade, for instance, managed to divert most of its customer base from Europe to India and China. Russian companies have also developed new supply chains and are stocking up on parallel imports.

 

Russia reported 5.5% GDP growth in the third quarter of 2023. While reports suggest that much of the country's growth is due to massive military and government spending, Inozemtsev doesn't seem to think that's all due to the country's economic resilience.

 

Russia is planning to spend 6% of its GDP on military expenses this year, which was what the US spent on defense during then-President Ronald Reagan's first term from 1981 to 1985.

 

But "no one would say that the American economy was a war economy," Inozemtsev told El País.

 

Russia's economy is expected to grow 3.1% in 2023, reversing from a 2.1% contraction in 2022, according to a Reuters poll of 15 economists and analysts.

 

However, they expect Russia's GDP growth to slow to 1.1% due to high interest rates, which dampen investment and spending.

In her submission to the District Court, Doe 107 stated that she had received "'hate mail' from someone who saw [her] name listed as a witness who may have information regarding [Jeffrey] Epstein's and [Ghislaine] Maxwell's alleged illegal conduct." Doe 107 also stated that she resides in a country "where 'honor' killings are a real risk.".

 

We accordingly remand the cause so that the District Court may explore—with supplemental submissions from Doe 107 as necessary—whether Doe 107 has raised more than "generalized concerns of adverse publicity" that outweigh the presumption of public access to the litigation documents identifying her.

A nonprofit is racing to get its portable baby incubators into Israel and Gaza as crisis deepens

New York CNN — Jane Chen is racing against the clock, again. She knows well how every minute that passes is crucial for a new life that emerges prematurely into the world in the most vulnerable of circumstances — in the midst of war, in the aftermath of a natural disaster or in a remote village far away from a medical center.

 

Acutely aware of the deepening crisis between Israel and Gaza, Chen is mobilizing her team at Embrace Global, a nonprofit she co-founded to help save babies’ lives, in a way that’s become second nature to her.

 

Embrace, based in San Francisco, California, makes low-cost portable baby incubators that don’t require a stable electricity supply.

 

The Embrace incubator resembles a sleeping bag, but for a baby. It’s a three-part system consisting of an infant sleeping bag, a removable and reusable pouch filled with a wax-like phase-change material which maintains a constant temperature of 98 degrees F for up to eight hours at a stretch when heated, and a heater to reheat the pouch when it cools.

 

Chen said the pouch requires just a 30-minute charge to be fully ready for reuse. “This is really ideal for settings that have intermittent access to electricity, which is a lot of places where we work in the world,” she said.

 

From Ukraine to Gaza

In Ukraine, Chen said doctors have indicated that preterm births are on the rise across the country at the same time that intermittent power outages have made the use of conventional incubators very challenging. Several doctors and nurses, she said, also must consistently take babies and mothers to basement shelters as bombings continue.

 

Dr. Halyna Masiura, a general practitioner, is experiencing this first hand at the Berezivka Primary Healthcare Center in the Odesa region of Ukraine.

 

For Chen, the most pressing problem is to figure out how to get the incubators to where they are most needed on the ground there. “As we did for Ukraine, we’re looking for partnerships with organizations that can get into the region effectively and also for funding,” she said. As a nonprofit, Chen said donations are sought through GoFundMe and a mix of individual donors, foundations and corporate donations.

 

Her team is working on a partnership with a humanitarian relief organization to respond in Gaza. “We’re also reaching out to organizations in Israel to assess the need for our incubators there,” she added.

Russia interceptsmissiles aimed at Belgorod– military

Ukraine has been targeting civilians in the border region for severals days now

 

Russian air defenses in the Belgorod Regionintercepted nine missiles launched from Ukraine on Tuesday evening, according to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow. More air raid alerts were heard in Belgorod overnight, with witnesses reporting explosions in the skies early Wednesday morning.

 

Two Tochka-U tactical ballistic missiles, as well as seven rockets from ‘Olkha’long-range artillery launchers were shot down, according to the Russian MoD.

 

“On January 2 of the current year, at around 22:30 Moscow time, another attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack was stopped,” the military said, adding that the incoming fire was dealt with by the air defenses on duty.

 

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that “several incoming projectiles” were intercepted overnight, but authorities have yet to share the details of the latest attempted attacks. The official also warned residents to shelter in rooms with strong walls and avoid approaching windows until the alarm sirens are turned off.

 

Ukrainian artillery attacked the town square of the city of Belgorod on Saturday, injuring over 100 civilians and killing 25, including children.

 

Ukraine has since launched several more attacks on the city and the surrounding region, using long-range rockets and drones. Another 17 ‘Olkha’ missiles were intercepted in three attacks earlier on Tuesday. The missiles that got through and debris from the ones which were intercepted killed one civilian and wounded two more, according to the regional governor.

 

Russian air defenses intercepted anddestroyed a total of 32 dronesin the night between Monday and Tuesday, according to the MoD. The unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk and Moscow regions.

 

A rocket strike also targeted Donetsk city in the early hours of January 1, killing four people and injuring 13. The capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic has been a frequent target of Kiev’s military since 2014.

 

According to a Russian security source, Saturday’s attack on Belgorod was personally ordered by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, organized by military intelligence head Kirill Budanov, and launched by the neo-Nazi ‘Kraken’ regiment based in Kharkov. Among the weapons used were RM-70 Vampire rocket launchers supplied to Ukraine by the Czech Republic. Moscow has also accused the US and Britain of helping plan the attack.

 

Russia has responded by launching drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian military industry facilities, repair shops and ammunition warehouses, including depots loaded with weapons “delivered to the Kiev regime by Western countries,” the MoD said earlier on Tuesday. According to the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Lviv, Russian drones also destroyed a museum dedicated to Roman Shukhevich, a WWII Nazi collaborator venerated by modern Ukrainian nationalists.

CAIRO, Jan 2 (Reuters) – British maritime security firm Ambrey said on Tuesday that a Malta-flagged container ship reported seeing three explosions towards its port quarter, 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Yemen’s Mocha.

 

The vessel master was heard over VHF, calling a coalition warship, the firm added.

 

Ambrey said it understood that three missiles had been fired from the direction of Yemen’s Taiz Governorate.

 

A nearby vessel reported seeing a small boat, about 50 meters (160 feet) in length, and with two lights, within 1 mile (1.6 km) of the incident location soon afterwards, the firm added.

Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi militants, who control much of Yemen including the capital Sanaa, have stepped up attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea in protest against Israel’s war in Gaza.

 

“It was assessed this particular vessel was not Israel-affiliated, but other vessels in the operator’s fleet had regularly called Israel, and this affiliation might have been sufficient for her to be targeted,” Ambrey said.

 

Several shipping lines have suspended operations through the Red Sea in response to the attacks, instead taking the longer journey around Africa.

 

The Houthis have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts the conflict in Gaza, and warned that it would attack U.S. warships if the militia group itself was targeted.

Ukraine to decide how to use US missiles – ambassador

The US envoy’s reported remarks come after over two dozen Russian civilians were killed in alleged terror bombing in Belgorod

 

The Ukrainian military command will decided for itself how to use the missiles for HIMARS launchers that Washington is providing, US Ambassador to Kiev Bridget Brink said on Tuesday, according to the Ukrainian outlet Strana.

 

The US has sent Ukraine around 30 high-mobility artillery rocket systems since mid-2022. The projectiles Washington has officially supplied to Kiev have a range of up to 160 kilometers (100 miles). Ukraine has repeatedly demanded longer-range missiles.

 

The Ukrainian Armed Forces command will “independently decide on the range of strikes delivered” using the HIMARS projectiles the US plans to provide “in the near future,” Strana reported Brink as saying on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Brink made an identical announcement in June 2022. It was reiterated by the Pentagon in February 2023, when the US announced it would send Ukraine Ground Launched Small Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) munitions.

 

According to a Washington Post article published at the time,Ukraine carries out HIMARS launches using “specific coordinates provided by US military personnel,” but chooses the targets itself. The US provides coordinates and targeting information “solely in an advisory role,” an anonymous American official insisted.

 

Russia has said that this is an immaterial distinction, and repeatedly warned that US and British officials involved in Ukrainian attacks on civilians will be brought to justice.

 

In October, Kiev boasted about using longer-ranged ATACMS missiles “secretly” supplied by the US. As it turned out, the White House had sent over a small number of the rockets armed with the controversial cluster munitions.

 

On Saturday, Ukrainian long-range rocket artillery struck the main town square of Belgorod with cluster bombs, killing 25 civilians – including children – and injuring 100 more. Czech-supplied weapons were reportedly used in the attack. Russia has retaliated by targeting Ukrainian command posts, weapons warehouses and military factories in a wave of missile and drone strikes.

2024: The Year Global Government Takes Shape

 

Total control of every aspect of life for every single person on the planet, that’s the goal.

 

That’s been apparent to anyone paying attention for years, if not decades, and any tiny portion of remaining doubt was removed when Covid was rolled-out and members of the establishment started outright saying it.

 

Covid marked an acceleration of the globalist agenda, a mad dash to the finish line that seems to have lost momentum short of victory, but the race is still going. The goal has not changed, even if the years since may have seen the agenda retreat slightly back into the shadows.

 

We know what they want conceptually, but what does that mean practically?

 

What does a potential “global government” actually look like?

 

First off, let’s talk about what we’re NOT going to see.

 

1 – They are not going to declare themselves. No, there will almost certainly never be an official “world government”, at least not for a long time yet. That’s a lesson they learned from Covid — putting a name and a face on globalism only foments collective resistance to it.

 

2 – They’re not going to abolish nationhood. You can be sure Klaus Schwab (or whoever) isn’t ever going to appear simulcast on every television in the world announcing that we’re all citizens of ze vurld now and that nation states no longer exist.

 

In part because that is likely to focus resistance (see point 1), but mainly because tribalism and nationalism are just too useful to all would-be manipulators of public opinion. And, of course the continuing existence of nation states in no way precludes the existence of a supra-national control system, any more than the existence of Rhode Island, Florida or Texas precludes the existence of the Federal government.

 

3 – There will never be an overt declaration of a change of system. We will not be told we are united under a new model, instead the illusion of regionality & superficial variance will camouflage a lack of real choice across the political landscape. A thin polysystemic skin stretched tight over a monosystemic skeleton.

 

Capitalism, communism, socialism, democracy, tyranny, monarchy…these words will steadily dilute in meaning, even more than they have already, but they will never be abandoned.

 

What globalism will bring us – I suggest – is a collection of nation-states largely in name only, operating superficially different systems of government all built on the same underpinning assumptions and all answering to an unelected and undeclared higher authority.

 

…and if that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s essentially what we have already.

 

The only major aspects missing are the mechanisms by which this rough model can be transformed into a flowing network, where all corners are eroded and all genuine sovereign powers become entirely vestigial.

 

That’s where the three main pillars of global rule come in:
