Enablers also unwittingly draw narcissists and psychopaths to them because they are more easily manipulated and controlled. The difference is enablers often passively hurt themselves in a misguided effort to "keep the peace" and please others, and narcissists and psychopaths manipulated and hurt others to please themselves.
It's like an abnormal law of attraction.
