he knows that they have kompromat on virtually all of DC
in fact, the concession wasn't even to the FIB, it was to all the R congressmen who he needs to lobby to for their support… he doesn't need much support, but does need a little.
they would have vehemently worked against him (like their lives depended on it) if they believed the FIB would do a doc dump to get their way… their careers would be over (and their post Congress careers too, likely) if they didn't get this concession.
Question is why does the FIB need the new digs so badly, that they would use their best material to get it…. maybe they are viewing the move as a way to purge all their worst files (Kennedy, 9/11, etc).
I have to say, as time passes, Ricky Gervais' roasting there is becoming the stuff of legends for this anon.
