Appeals Court Blocks California Law Banning Firearms in Public Places.

 

Last month a federal judge temporarily blocked a newly signed California law that banned people from carrying firearms in virtually all public places.

 

“The law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September was set to take effect Jan. 1. It would have prohibited people from carrying concealed guns in 26 places including public parks and playgrounds, churches, banks and zoos. The ban would apply whether the person has a permit to carry a concealed weapon or not. One exception would be for privately owned businesses that put up signs saying people are allowed to bring guns on their premises.” AP reported last month.

 

US District Judge Cormac Carney of the Central District of California, a Bush appointee, granted the ban and issued a scathing statement.

 

Judge Carney called the law, which was signed by California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, a “sweeping, repugnant to the Second Amendment, and openly defiant of the Supreme Court.”

TSA agents aren’t exactly known for being professional and courteous. In light of this, the recent news we’re about to share with you might not come as a huge shock. It turns out the director of the TSA has been arrested for elder abuse, and the arrest went down inside the Atlanta airport. There’s a certain irony to this story, given the horrendous reputation of TSA agents for their aggressive frisking, yelling at innocent passengers, and treating travelers like prisoners in a work camp.

Now, seeing a leader of this disgraced organization charged with abusing elderly people seems to highlight the bigger issue of unprofessionalism running rampant throughout the TSA.

An official with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to local reports.

TSA Assistant Federal Security Director Maxine McManaman was arrested in Atlanta by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Dec. 28.

McManaman had a warrant for her arrest posted by the St. Lucie County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office, which claimed she and an alleged accomplice named Delroy Chambers Sr.exploited a relative suffering from dementia by falsifying documents in their name, according to Port St. Lucie Police.

The Florida authorities allege that theduo forged signatures on a quitclaim deed transferring ownership of a property in the relative’s name over to themselves.

The relative whose property was transferred to McManaman and Chambers allegedly could not have signed the quitclaim deed, because the individual was found to have been in Atlanta on the date listed, according to police.

The situation with the TSA and the aviation industry as a whole goes way beyond just dealing with power-hungry, rude agents. It’s facing a larger issue: the “diversity bug” has bitten the industry, and it’s causing the entire house of cards to fall.

Logically, that type of influence would play a key role in keeping Epstein’s dirty laundry under wraps. And on the rare occasion that a journalist dared to discuss his perverted activities, it wouldn’t be surprising if someone like Bill Clinton stepped in, throwing around his weight until the story was kiboshed.

 

Well, would it surprise you to know that court documents actually reveal that a scenario like this happened at Vanity Fair’s offices? The documents allege that Bill Clinton got a tip-off about an exposé on his buddy Jeffrey Epstein. He supposedly barged into the magazine’s offices and made threats until the story was finally pulled.

COLUMBIA - Gov. Nikki Ha­ley said Wednesday that the state needs to sell its "money pits," starting with eight properties that include the state Education Depart­ment's administration building.

 

Selling the properties identified so far would enable taxpayers to avoid spending $30 million on maintenance and other expenses over five years, according to a report by a real estate firm hired to assess the state's inventory. The figure is not a direct savings. Haley said she envisions profits going into a fund to lease new and renovate existing office space, to eventually save taxpayers money in future administrations.

 

The report documents 7,800 public buildings, including college property, on 2,500 parcels of land. Real estate firm CBRE has so far visited 222 sites. While the assessment work continues, Haley said the report lays out her plan for managing the state's real estate.

 

"We don't need to own this much space," she said. "I want this property out the door."

 

Haley said it's also a quality-of-life issue. Employees can't love their jobs if they go to offices that haven't been updated in decades, stink and might even be making them sick, she said.

 

Superintendent Molly Spearman said her agency welcomes the idea of moving, as its location doesn't provide adequate meeting space or parking.

 

Other recommendations in the report include shrinking the square footage employees occupy. Renovating four buildings using new "space standards" would save an estimated $32 million over 30 years, according to the report.

 

The report stems from questions Haley began asking when she came into office in 2011, as she sought a tally of state property.

 

After continued resistance, she issued an executive order in October 2013 directing her 16 Cabinet agencies to provide an accounting and identify surpluses. Other agencies participated voluntarily. CBRE was hired after a preliminary inventory was released in April 2014.

 

At the time, Haley applauded the Department of Employ­ment and Workforce for putting 10 vacant offices up for sale.

 

On Wednesday, the agency said it sold four properties in the past fiscal year for a $5 million profit and has 13 other facilities and two pieces of land up for sale. Across state government, about50 pieces of surplus property are listed for sale by the Department of Administration, with listings dating back to 2004.

 

Agency Director Marcia Adams said recommended changes in the state's cumbersome sales process should enable the state to get rid of more property faster.

Donald Trump is going to lose in South Carolina — to Nikki Haley.

 

I say that as someone who lost in South Carolina — to Nikki Haley.

 

The year was 2010. I’d thrown my hat into the ring for governor. It was a big field with several well-known Republicans running, but Nikki Haley — then a state representative from Lexington — wasn’t on anyone’s likely winner list.

 

We were wrong. We underestimated Nikki Haley — just like people did when she ran against a 30-year Republican incumbent for the state Legislature, and just like her opponents have been underestimating her in the current presidential campaign. She didn’t let the naysayers get to her. She put her head down and went to work. She is one of the hardest working candidates I have ever met.

 

Haley is principled, persuasive and plain-spoken. She tells hard truths, answers hard questions and takes on the hardest fights — the fights that matter most to the people of South Carolina. In our race, it was transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibility. Haley owned those issues, and she broke down complicated spending topics in simple, everyday terms.

 

In the end, Nikki Haley was both the immovable object and an unstoppable force. She came from way behind, and in the final months leading up to the primary, her momentum grew — and grew some more, just like it’s doing now. She ended up winning the runoff with 65% of the vote, and a few months later, the people of South Carolina elected her governor.

 

Although it stung at the time, I can now say I’m glad Nikki Haley won. She was the right leader for our state, transforming our economy and uniting us in difficult times. Now she’s the right person for America.

 

First, she has to get through the candidate many people assume is going to win the S.C. primary: Donald Trump.

 

Trump should be afraid. History is repeating itself.

 

Haley is doing the same thing she did in 2010. She’s showing up and proving she’s the hardest worker of the bunch. She jumped into the race early because she didn’t need to wait and see what the other candidates decided, and right after she announced, she hit the campaign trail in New Hampshire and Iowa, holding town halls and answering voters’ questions. She didn’t get distracted by the media’s narrative or the latest fights on social media.

 

Her message is principled and strong. She hasn’t wavered in her support of our allies or backed away from criticizing Republicans — including Donald Trump — for adding $8 trillion to the national debt in just four years: nearly as much as Barack Obama added in eight years. The irresponsible spending played a role in the runaway inflation that’s still crippling families, and it’s holding us back at the exact time we need to move forward to hold China accountable.

 

Trump is taking South Carolina for granted, and Nikki Haley is taking South Carolina seriously, like she always has. She led our state in a better direction for six years. She stood with South Carolinians during our best and worst moments, and now she will lead our country toward a brighter future. I couldn’t be more honored to support her for president.

 

All she has to do is beat Trump in the primaries, especially South Carolina’s on Feb. 24. After that, she’s a shoo-in against the failed Joe Biden in November, while Donald Trump is not.

 

Can she get that far? Of course she can. Take it from someone who learned the lesson the hard way: Never underestimate Nikki Haley — even against Donald Trump.

HOW CONGRESS MAY SELECT OUR NEXT PRESIDENT IN 2024:

 

Did you know that a winner of the 2024 Presidential election may not come to fruition due to a “contingent election”, which would then let Congress select the next President and Vice President?

 

This is what

is trying to accomplish by running as an Independent. He’s trying to create a contingent election in which neither candidate gets 270 electoral votes.

 

RFK’s plan is to create a contingent election, as was admitted by his own PAC. An article outlining the PACs $15 million plan said,

 

“A statement outlining the new plan also said it’s confident that Kennedy could win a contingent election, a possible scenario where no presidential candidate gets 270 electoral college votes.”

 

This is why RFK switched from running as a Democrat to an Independent.

 

Recently, it was announced that “American Values”

, a Super PAC which was created to support RFK’s presidential campaign, is planning to spend $15 MILLION to get him on the ballot in 10 key states that collectively carry 210 electoral votes that are needed to win the 2024 election, including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, New York, and Texas.

 

If RFK is able to pick up enough electoral votes to the point where neither Trump or Biden gets 270, then under the US Constitution, we would have what is called a “contingent election”, which is what happens if no candidate gets a majority in the Electoral College.

 

To win the Electoral College, a candidate needs a majority — at least 270 electoral votes. If there are more than two candidates and no one hits 270, that triggers a contingent election, a fallback process created by the Twelfth Amendment where the House of Representatives selects a president and the Senate selects a vice president.

 

HOW WOULD THIS HAPPEN?

 

House members vote as state delegations. Each state delegation gets a single vote, and a candidate becomes president with the support of a majority (26) of state delegations. If no candidate wins 26 state delegations by January 20th, then the vice president-elect becomes acting president. And if the Senate fails to select a vice president, then under the Twentieth Amendment and the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, the next eligible person in the presidential line of succession (potentially the speaker of the House) becomes acting president.

 

This could be disastrous, given the fact that Republicans only hold a 1 seat majority in Congress right now with the early retirement of

, several other GOP members of Congress, and the ousting of George Santos

It will only take one more House GOP rep to retire early, and then Dems will have control of the House again before the 2024 election. I predict Dems take control of the House by March, and when they do, we will be one step closer to having a contingent election.

 

This is all part of their plan to make sure Trump and Biden aren’t the next President. Congress would then be able to install their own President and Vice President if this happens.

Hillary Clinton's name has appeared in court documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell for the first time, with a newly-published tranche requesting 'all communications' from her and 12 other people.

 

The former Secretary of State's surprise entrance on the Epstein stage - her husband has been mentioned multiple times, and was known to associate with the late pedophile financier for several years - came as lawyers asked whether the Clinton Foundation was bankrolling Maxwell.

 

Maxwell, the only person convicted for her role in Epstein's sex trafficking network, refused to answer.

 

Hillary Clinton was not known to be close to either Maxwell or Epstein and has never been pictured with either of them.

 

Her name comes up in a 2016 document filed by Maxwell's attorneys, relating to Virginia Roberts-Giuffre - an Epstein victim, who sued Maxwell for defamation in 2016.

 

Hillary Clinton's name is mentioned in a single line concerning Roberts-Giuffre's request for 'all communications with thirteen specific witnesses,' according to Newsweek.

Another document shows Roberts-Giuffre trying to assess how much Maxwell is worth, as part of the defamation case.

 

Roberts-Giuffre's legal team accuse Maxwell, the daughter of a Czech-British newspaper magnate, of refusing to release her financial records, and imply that she wanted to hide the source of her wealth.

 

'For example, Defendant has refused to comply with a discovery request seeking information about her connection to the Clinton Foundation, claiming that such a request is 'obviously intended to harass and embarrass' her,' the court documents state.

 

'Nothing could be further from the truth.'

 

Roberts-Giuffre's lawyers say that Maxwell intends to claim that she lied about meeting Bill Clinton.

 

They suggest that Maxwell could be trying to protect Bill Clinton, because his foundation supports Maxwell financially.

 

'It is Defendant who intends to argue at trial that Ms. Giuffre has made inaccurate statements about various interactions with former-President Bill Clinton,' said Roberts-Giuffre's legal team.

 

'Of course, if Defendant (or any of her organizations) is receiving funding from the Clinton Foundation, that would provide a clear motive for her to slant testimony on this subject.

 

'Ms. Giuffre is entitled to explore this clear possibility of bias by obtaining information of the financial connections between Defendant and the Clinton Foundation.'

 

There has never been any evidence that the Clinton Foundation was financing Maxwell, or any other private individuals.

 

Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton are accused of any wrongdoing in connection to Maxwell and Epstein.

 

Bill Clinton travelled on Epstein's private jet four times, and said the flights were in relation to his work with the Clinton Foundation.

 

The former president, now 77, has long insisted that his connections to Epstein were on a professional basis.

 

He insisted in 2019 that during his four trips on Epstein's private jet, in 2002 and 2003, he was always accompanied by a retinue of staff and Secret Service agents.

'Apart from the Defendant and Mr. Epstein, former President Clinton is a key person who can provide information about his close relationship with Defendant and Mr. Epstein and disapprove Ms. Maxwell's claims.'

 

Clinton is mentioned 50 times in the first tranche of documents, released on Wednesday - almost 950-pages of evidence.

 

Another woman who claimed she was sexually abused by Epstein, Johanna Sjoberg, said in her deposition that Epstein told her 'Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.'

 

It is unclear how Clinton and Epstein met, but Roberts was not the only one to claim the pair were close.

On Wednesday, hours before the court documents were unsealed, Jeffrey Epstein's brother Mark, a New York-based property developer, said his sibling claimed to have information about Donald Trump and Bill Clinton which was so explosive it would derail the 2016 presidential election.

 

Mark Epstein, younger than Jeffrey by 18 months, said his brother never provided details.

 

Mark, 69, told The New York Post: 'Here's a direct quote: 'If I said what I know about both candidates, they'd have to cancel the election.' That's what Jeffrey told me in 2016.'

Sure, as guilty as Will is of being “good-looking,”it shouldn’t be a 30-year sentence. Meanwhile,Epps, who was seen encouraging violent actions and was amidst crowds that injured police,appears to be treated like a hero.Curious, isn’t it?

 

And to make matters worse, charges were only brought against Epps after outlets like Revolver and commentators including Tucker Carlson began pointing out the glaring hypocrisy and questioning Epps’s real reasons for being at the event.

Why is it that a man who played such an antagonistic role on January 6th is being treated almost like a hero, while peaceful, non-violent grandparents are being treated like ISIS terrorists? The difference in treatment raises some very serious questions.

 

The DOJ just put out the sentencing document for Mr. Epps, and it feels like the Biden administration is scrambling to stuff the “Ray Epps toothpaste” back in the tube. Earlier this week, the Department of Justice published a sentencing memo recommending that Ray Epps serve six months in prison on misdemeanor charges related to his behavior on January 6th. Back in September, we reported on the bizarre situation in which Ray Epps, nearly three years after January 6th, is hit with a misdemeanor charge forwhich the DOJ notifies him in advance and to which he pleads guilty.

 

For a sense of perspective regarding the DOJ’s 6-month prison recommendation for Ray Epps, consider that Enrique Tarrio, who wasn’t even in DC on January 6th, was sentenced to22 years in prison. Ray Epps’ fellow Oath Keeper leader, Stewart Rhodes, was convicted of seditious conspiracy and sentenced to18 years in prison. Epps’ sentencing recommendation is not only trivial in comparison to fellow heavyweights Stewart Rhodes and Enrique Tarrio. Prosecutors are requesting30 months for Sandra Weyer, a 60-year-old woman with no criminal recordand no record of violent behavior on January 6th.

So why the display of mercy? One reason the DOJ gives for leniency is that Epps reached out to the FBI early and wasallegedly forthcoming and cooperative with their investigation. The final extenuating circumstance the DOJ offers is by far the most bizarre.That is, the DOJ cites the fact that Ray Epps is a victim of “conspiracies” as a reason to provide leniencyand to withhold felony charges for his admittedly felonious conduct.

Don't look now but there's a real dispute emerging among judges in DC about one of the staple charges against nearly every Jan. 6 defendant:Entering and remaining in a restricted building.

 

Tonight,Judge Cooper acquitted a Jan. 6 defendant of two counts, saying DOJ fell short.

 

The heart of the dispute: Does DOJ need to show that rioters knew Mike Pence (or another USSS protectee) was/would be present to prove someone violated he law. Until recently, judges had all agreed that wasn't necessary.

 

Cooper's opinion:

Cooper (Obama) joins Judges Nichols (Trump) and Lamberth (Reagan) in taking this narrower view of the 18 USC 1752 charges, a misdemeanor that has been leveled against 1,186 of the 1,260-ish Jan. 6 defendants.

But the truth is that science is probably more absent from the film than emotion, because what the film represents is a triumph of Jane’s experience and persona after decades in which the family was viewed solely through the prism of Stephen’s genius, who as well as being the world’s best-known scientist is also the world’s best-known sufferer of motor neurone disease (MND).

 

Today there is an aura of unassuming achievement around Jane, who is sitting in the conservatory overlooking her garden in a quiet corner of Cambridge. Meeting her feels like fast-forwarding through time to meet an older Felicity Jones, so accurately did the actor represent her subject. But then, talking to Jane, it all turns on itself again: the reality was, she says, that she and Stephen met Jones and Redmayne when they were researching their roles, and was later astounded to realise how closely her mannerisms, gestures and speech patterns had been noted. “When I saw the film, I thought: she’s stolen my personality!

Her relationship with Stephen started when both refused to be daunted by the fact that Stephen had just been diagnosed with terminal motor neurone disease. They ploughed into marriage in the face of his parents’ pessimism about its chances of success, and had three children. In the face of pressures that were almost too much to bear, and alongside her friendship with another man, they somehow kept their marriage together for a quarter of a century before ending it with a remarkable degree of equanimity.

After years of comparing Jan 6 to 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and the Oklahoma City bombing,Biden will again desecrate hallowed ground and the graves of the victims—roughly 2,000 soldiers died over a six-month period at the Valley Forge encampment—to prioritize the largely peaceful protest at the Capitol as a pivotal event in American history.

 

Fighting Trump and his supporters, the stunt apparently is supposed to demonstrate, is just like living in subhuman conditions fighting starvation, hypothermia, and deadly diseases to prevail over the British crown. (Ironically, Biden moved up the speech from Saturday to Friday amid bad weather forecasts.)

 

“The president will make the case directly that democracy and freedom—two powerful ideas that united the 13 colonies and that generations throughout our nation's history have fought and died for—remains (sic) central to the fight we're in today," said Quentin Fulks, Biden’s deputy campaign manager.

 

What Biden and his history-illiterate team don’t realize in their latest attempt to ratchet upcomparisons between America’s most fraught moments and a four-hour disturbance on public property during a Wednesday afternoon where the only people killed were Trump supporters is that Biden is King George III, not Washington or the rebels: an intemperate and entitled ruler clinging to power by intentionally provoking his subjects while using whatever force necessary to crush the opposition.

 

Biden’s Valley Forge performance also underscores the Democratic Party’s desperationto sustain the January 6 “insurrection” narrative throughout the 2024 presidential campaign; his first campaign adreleased Thursday includes several familiar scenes of the Capitol protest. Bearing a dismal record across the board resulting in mass unpopularity even among his own voters, Biden is pinning his re-election hopes on the notion he is General Washington leading the charge to save “democracy” from the imaginary threat of Trump and MAGA extremists.

Public Support of J6 Narrative Declining

Timing comes as the public’s investment in J6 propaganda continues to slide. According to a newWashington Post poll, only a slim majority of Americans believe January 6 was “an attack on democracy that should never be forgotten,” a figure inflated by 89 percent of Biden voters who agree. Only half of respondents think January 6 was “mostly violent” including just 18 percent of Republicans, down from 26 percent in 2021; less than half agree that Trump should be disqualified from office over the events of January 6.

And despite a steady onslaught of criminal and Congressional investigations coupled with news coverage to bolster the claim that the 2020 presidential election was above reproach, public trust in that election has slipped since January 6. Overall trust in the election fell 10 percent in the past three years even among independents. Only 31 percent of Republicans now say Biden was legitimately elected, a 20 percent drop since 2021.

 

More bad news could be just around the corner. The U.S. Supreme Court might—and I use that word with uncharacteristic optimism—open a can of whoop ass on Biden’s Department of Justice, federal courts in Washington, and other partisan interests advancing the J6 narrative….

Stephen has taken part in many of the publicity events for The Theory of Everything, which was based on Jane’s memoir of their time together. Now 71, she and Jonathan divide their life between Cambridge and their house in northern France, and she makes regular visits to Seattle where her and Stephen’s eldest child, Robert, works for Microsoft and has a son and a daughter.

“Being Stephen’s carer was such a struggle, and it’s a lonely job looking after a disabled person. Thinking back, I honestly wonder how I got through it. But what you hope is that the years since have brought improvements to the lives of disabled people and their carers, and I think for a while it was like that. But now the clock is turning back, and we can’t let that happen.”

This is also why people were seen walking around with USB thumb drives. All they had to do is stick in a thumb drive, the windows explorer opens, they click on one batch file, everything is altered in a few seconds, and the machine automatically reboots, they pull out the thumb drive while the system is booting and log in. In and out within a minute at best.
