This is what Jesus said to the Jews in Jerusalem at Solomons Temple, which Jesus claims as "His Fathers House"… which the Rulers, who are described as the Jews had infiltrated as the house of power over Judah since circa 600 BC as written in the Book of Kings and the Book of Lamentations. Jesus is of course from the bloodline of King David, a Nazarite and is therefore Christ claim to being called King over the Jews by Pilate. Meaning he is the rightful heir over Judah. Pilate wrote the message for Christs cross purposely, because the Pharisee Jews had forced his hand in sending an innocent man to his death, therefore Pilate made it clear that Christ was the rightful heir to what the Jews had stolen. Hebrews/Israelites are not JEWS. It doesn't say anywhere in scripture that they are, it says the opposite. The Edomites who occupy Jerusalem and Solomons temple in the time of Christ are the Jews whom Christ is speaking with in the book of John. When Christ tells them that if they abide in His word, they will be made free, the Jews answer saying, They were never in captivity. By this they mean they are not Israelites (who were in captivity, Babylon, Egypt).

We also know from the Book of Lamentations, backed by archeological discoveries, that Edom invaded/occupied Judah, Jerusalem and Solomons Temple beginning circa 900 BCE and their occupation lasted in Judah (southern kingdom of Israel) through till 70 AD, through the times of Christ, until Rome sacked Jerusalem and scattered the Jews. In these versus, we clearly see the Jews denying being Israelites directly to Jesus Christ.

The Book of Lamentations describes how the Nazarite Israelites are lamenting the loss of Judah to the Edomites, who are also biblically termed as the ADVERSARY, synonymous with AMALEK. (NB: Nazarites are the bloodline of the Kings of Israel, David, Solomon etc, whom lead to the bloodline of Christ, also a Nazarite). Now when Christ tells the Samaritan woman, that salvation is of the Jews, He is both predicting his own death by the Jews as well as proclaiming that without His sacrifice, there is no salvation through grace. Now knowing the Samaritan woman is an Israelite, her conversation regarding the Jews hating Israelites clearly displays a distinction between Jews and Israelites.

After Babylon destroyed Israel and the first Temple, I date to around circa 600'ish BC.

That's when the Edomites moved in, since many Israelites were carried off into captivity and only a remnant of Judah remained, Edom filled the void as an "easy score".

It took them around 150 - 200 years to become proud/boastful of their conquer, through those generations, to put themselves in the place of God by rebuilding the temple and establishing themselves as The Law..

So, circa mid 400'ish BC, the Jews were trying to build the second temple. That's because they knew that the God of Israel, was the Law over the people and so they devised they would conquer both God and Israel in one move.

And by the time of Christs arrival, some 400 odd years later, the Jews had established themselves, not only among the Israelites, but as their Rulers in the southern land, called Judah.
