Jean-Pierre: January 6th was an attack on our democracy…the American people saw two thousand insurrectionists, really attack the Capital, and we saw a Confederate Flag flying around in the Capital…police officers were injured, some police officers lost their lives because of that event…I've seen American Veterans note that how grotesque and offensive, to compare those convicted of assaulting cops, and attempting to overthrow the American government, that veterans have died defending innocent Americans…it is grotesque to make those type of comparison [President Trump referring to people being held for January 6th as hostages].

Mr. Biden: I've spent more time in the Bethel AME church in Wilmington, Delaware, than I have than most people I know, black or white, spend at church. Because that's why I started, started civil rights movement.

Mr. Biden: The word of God was pierced by bullets and hate, rage. Propelled by, not just gunpowder, but by a poison. A poison that has for too long haunted this nation. What is that poison? White supremacy.

Mr. Biden: We saw something on January 6th that we've never seen before. Insurrectionists waving Confederate Flags inside the halls of congress, built by enslaved Americans.

Mr. Biden: An extreme movement in America, the MAGA Republicans, led by a defeated president, is trying to steal history now. They tried to steal an election, now they are trying to steal history, telling us that violent mob was a 'peaceful protest'.

Mr. Biden: Losers are taught to concede when they lose. He's a loser [President Trump].
