What have humans done throughout recorded history and for the periods in which we have only ruins? Sacrifice? Give your labor, give your time, to building neolithic structures, barrows, mounds, temples, cathedrals, runways and whatever else was ordered by the overlords? Why? To farm human misery? Why work, why labor, why pay exhorbitant taxes and costs just to survive? Why die in human wars? Qui Bono?
