This seems rather oxymoronic, if hydrocarbons can come from other sources doesn't that prove that fossil fuel narrative is flawed.

Plants are rich in oils. When the plants die and rot down where does that oil go?

It leaches down through ground strata where it is filtered and collects just like ground water aquifers.

This is what most people don't think about.

Look at the surface of the water in a swamp and you see the oily sheen from the natural oils.
