Since 802.15.6 BANs are in common use in hospitals, people who've been in hospitals for "elective procedures" are most likely already implanted with BAN devices. This is why I speculate that young people who've already sterilized themselves and have accepted the body area networking devices are being recruited by the military - they're immediately deployable as remote-control BAN "nodes."

The YouTube clip depicts a woman with a smartphone - not easy to remove the battery, and harder to reassemble after removal. My flip-phone is old-school, and has zero emissions when battery is out (I've measured). Background in RF engineering and cellphone system design here.
