A human operator loads the bots into the thread. In the early days of CBTS, the bots were hilarious, making mistakes. But they've gotten good. Yes, its clowns and CTR. No, its not admins or owners.
A couple of reasons for the CTR bots.
1) they can't keep nerd virgins from looking into digs. They were down to only giving them 2 weeks to work on /qresarch, but even that proved too long. Bots can't be swayed by facts.
2) money. you pay 1 operator instead of 6, and the bots trigger each other at scripted intervals. Replies to the bots trigger them as well.
And just like BO can't keep -you- off the board, a bot that logs in by a human can't be kept off. the human does the captcha, loads the bot and then goes to get a red bull.
Just filter the spamming IDs and move on.
