Georgia Senate Ethics Committee Passes Bill to Remove Raffensperger from Board of Elections – And Grant the Board Authority to Investigate Him

Via Behizy: The Georgia Senate Ethics Committee has passed a bill that would remove Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger from the Board of Elections and grant the board authority to investigate him for election law violations

The bill will be voted on by the full senate in the coming weeks and should pass both houses easily.

The bill would also allow the BOE to investigate local election officials as well. More importantly, the Board would have the power to hire their own investigators as opposed to relying on the Secretary of State’s office to do so.

Georgia’s Secretary of State could find himself under investigation by the State Board of Elections under the terms of legislation proposed in the Georgia Senate.

Senate Bill 358 would give the Board of Elections the power to investigate both the Secretary of State and local elections officials, and how those officials conduct elections. It also gives the Board the power to hire its own investigators instead of relying on the Secretary of State’s office to conduct investigations.

Senator Max Burns, a Republican from Sylvania, chairs the Senate Ethics Committee. He is also a sponsor of the bill. He said that the bill was driven, at least in part, by a debate among Board of Elections members last year.

“Last year, in the December meeting of the state election board, there was some discussion about whether or not the board had responsibility and oversight of the Secretary of State and the Office of the Secretary of State and their elections division.,” Burns said. “They split on that 2-2.”

Burns told his colleagues on the Senate Ethics Committee that the legislation was requested by members of the Board of Elections.

“We received communication from a member of the election board and then the Chair of the state Election Board,” he said. “So the chair of of the state election board in a letter to the Honorable Jon Burns, Speaker of the House and the Honorable Burt Jones, Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, requested that the legislation clarify the responsibility of the state election board and and its role in oversight.”

The bill would also remove the Secretary of State from the State Elections Board.

Israel's Reputation Takes A Hit In World Court Genocide Case

Israel has suffered its first major setback in the International Court of Justice (ICJ, or also "World Court") genocide case brought against it by South Africa, and thus has also suffered a possible hit to its reputation on the global stage.

The Hague-based court has ordered Israel to take all measures capable to prevent acts of Genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, but it stopped short of ordering a ceasefire. The interim ruling will of course remain merely symbolic as the World Court has no power or mechanism whereby it can enforce the verdict. It asserts that South Africa's case has legal merit and can proceed.

The Friday directive comes ahead what's expected to be a future, final ruling - and it comes as international pressure grows on Israel to reach a ceasefire - which the Netanyahu government is reportedly seeking in offering its 2-month pause plan in hopes of gaining the release of all captives.

The Palestinian Authority hailed the ruling, stating "The ICJ ruling is an important reminder that no state is above the law or beyond the reach of justice," according Foreign Minister Riyadh Maliki. "It breaks Israel’s entrenched culture of criminality and impunity, which has characterised its decades-long occupation, dispossession, persecution, and apartheid in Palestine."

Current president of the ICJ Judge Joan Donahue said however that the "catastrophic situation" in Gaza could get much worse by the time the final verdict in the case gets delivered while explaining why the provisional directive is necessary.

Thus this ruling points to the likelihood that things won't go Israel's way in the end. But again, this is all highly symbolic yet still hugely significant as it impacts Israel's global standing, and opens it up to potential isolation from some countries, and could help the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) gain greater steam. Israeli leaders have long lobbied on a global level against the BDS movement, often labeling it "antisemitic".

South Africa's legal submission to the World Court alleges "acts and omissions by Israel" which are "genocidal in character" as they are committed with the intent "to destroy Palestinians in Gaza" - which in essence targets a national, racial and ethnic group.

ADL Alerts Law Enforcement To Matt Walsh, Chris Rufo, Libs Of TikTok

The Anti-Defamation League flags “online amplifiers of LGBTQ+ hate” as extremists to be examined by law enforcement, an email obtained by The Oversight Project shows.

The revelation indicates that the Anti-Defamation League, “the leading anti-hate organization in the world,” is specifically pushing law enforcement to scrutinize viral dissenters against transgender ideology, such as The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh and The Manhattan Institute’s Chris Rufo. The email was obtained by The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project. (The Daily Signal is Heritage’s news outlet.)

The ADL has historically focused on anti-semitism, but in recent years has directed heavy attention to hate and extremism. The ADL has described content pushing back against transgender ideology as both “dangerous” and “false,” claiming that this content inspires “real-world extremist activities, threats, and even violence.”

“The ADL, and similar organizations, are a key driver of government weaponization,” Mike Howell, the director of the Oversight Project, a division of the Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal. “They provide the phony predication and intellectual cover in order to point the people with guns at their enemies. Our investigative work continues to expose examples of these groups driving government action.”

The Extremist Landscape

Oversight’s Freedom of Information Act request to Washington State Fusion Center (a “unified counterterrorism” center) turned out a February 2023 email on “the extremist landscape” from the ADL. The email was sent to Tyler Phelan, an intelligence analyst at the center, from the ADL’s “Law Enforcement” address.

The email bears the subject line: “White Supremacist Fight Clubs, Anti-LGBTQ+ Hate.” It then paints a picture of the “extremist landscape:” threats of Islamic terrorism, an alleged rise in white supremacist crews encouraging violence, and “online amplifiers of LGBTQ+ Hate” promoting “false narratives, escalating harassment of LGBTQ+ individuals.”

The United States announced on Friday the suspension of its funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), a humanitarian organization aiding Palestinians.

This decision follows allegations of the involvement of 12 UNRWA employees in the Hamas terror attacks in Israel on October 7, Jewish Insider reported.

The U.S. State Department’s move comes in the wake of UNRWA’s admission and subsequent dismissal of several staff members. This action was taken after Israel provided the agency with evidence linking these individuals to the terror attacks.

Department of Defense Inks $235.8 Million Contract for Anthrax Vaccines

Biopharmaceutical company Emergent BioSolutions (EBS) signed a massive $235.8 million contract with the Department of Defense to supply the U.S. military with its BioThrax anthrax vaccine.

Yahoo Finance reported the Biothrax anthrax vaccine is expected to be used by all branches of the U.S. military.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the FDA approved Emergent BioSolution’s Cyfendus anthrax vaccine for adults 18-65 in July of last year.

Just months later after its approval, Emergent BioSolutions announced that the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) “exercised an option valued on an existing deal to procure additional doses of its recently approved anthrax vaccine Cyfendus (AV7909).”

Emergent BioSolutions EBS signed an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) procurement contract for a maximum value of up to $235.8 million with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to supply its anthrax vaccine BioThrax.

The vaccine is intended for use by all branches of the United States military as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for anthrax disease.

The procurement contract consists of a five-year base agreement ending on Sep 30, 2028, with an option to extend the contract for an additional five years to Sep 30, 2033.

Before the end of the initial five-year base period, the DoD should place a minimum guaranteed purchase order for $20.1 million worth of the vaccine product. For the following years, the annual order size should be at least $20 million for a total value of up to $235.8 million.

In recent months, the Federal governmet and state officials have been preparing for a possible anthrax outbreak.

Failure to throw out genocide claims a ‘mark of disgrace’ on ICJ, Netanyahu declares

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the International Court of Justice on Friday after it declined to throw out the genocide charges brought against Israel by South Africa, instead issuing an interim ruling that Jerusalem must take measures to prevent the commital of genocidal acts against Palestinians.

“Like every country, Israel has the basic right to self-defense. The Hague Tribunal rightly rejected the outrageous demand to deprive us of this right,” he said.

The court rejected South Africa’s demand that it order an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

“But the very claim that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians is not just false, it is outrageous,” Netanyahu stated — arguing that the “the court’s willingness to discuss this at all is a mark of disgrace that will not be erased for generations.”

Responding to a South African motion accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza, the court on Friday declined to order Israel to halt its military operation but did issue a series of provisional measures. These include saying Israel must prevent the killing or injuring of Gazan innoncents, must prevent conditions calculated to wholly or partly destroy Gaza’s populace, and must prevent conditions intended to prevent births among Gazans.

“We are fighting a just war, and we will continue it until complete victory — until we defeat Hamas, return all our abductees and ensure that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel,” Netanyahu declared.

In a separate English-language statement, Netanyahu added that “Israel’s commitment to international law is unwavering” and promised that because Israel’s war is against “terrorists, not against Palestinian civilians,” his government would “continue to facilitate humanitarian assistance, and to do our utmost to keep civilians out of harm’s way.”

“On the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I again pledge as prime minister of Israel — Never Again,” he added, promising to “continue to do what is necessary to defend our country and defend our people.”

Pro-Israel Washington Post reporter smears The Grayzone as Holocaust deniers in ADL-affiliated hit piece

In a falsehood-filled attack, the Washington Post’s ardently pro-Israel Elizabeth Dwoskin attacked The Grayzone’s factual reporting with “research” from a spook-infested outfit closely tied to the Anti-Defamation League.

Dwoskin also relied on an Israeli special forces vet heading a “Digital Iron Dome” campaign to censor social media criticism of Israel’s assault on Gaza.

On January 21, The Washington Post published an article purporting to expose a terrifying and “spreading” phenomenon: so-called “Oct. 7 truther’ groups” who “say [the] Hamas massacre was a false flag.” Unable to name those “truther groups,” the piece’s author, Elizabeth “Lizza” Dwoskin, cobbled together a random assortment of comments by 4chan and Reddit users to create the sense that antisemitic conspiracism was not only sweeping the internet, but taking over city councils across the country.

The piece took direct aim at The Grayzone, maliciously associating our factual reporting on friendly fire orders which led to many Israeli deaths on October 7 with Holocaust denial.

The Post’s Dwoskin went on to falsely claim that “articles on… Grayzone [sic] exaggerated” reports that Israelis were killed by the Israeli army “to suggest that most Israeli deaths were caused by friendly fire, not Hamas.” Yet no one associated with The Grayzone has ever claimed that “most” Israelis who died on October 7 were killed by the Israeli army, nor has it published any material suggesting October 7 was a “false flag.”

The author of the Post’s shoddily-sourced smear job, Elizabeth Dwoskin, is an ideologically committed Zionist who once referred to Palestinians as “desert Bedouins without a sense of national identity as we know it today.”

During a phone call with The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal and Aaron Mate during their livestream, Dwoskin refused to discuss her Zionist sympathies and hung up when asked about her reference to Palestinians as “desert Bedouins.” She neglected to quote from the on-the-record call in her piece.

A close review of Dwoskin’s factually-challenged hit piece reveals her work was guided by a shadowy “think tank” manned by a team of former national security state apparatchiks, as well as current and former US intelligence officers. Known as the National Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), the pro-censorship outfit was founded by a former researcher for one of the Israel lobby’s key pressure groups: the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

Georgia lawmakers, in support of Israel, pass bill that would define antisemitism in state law

Georgia lawmakers passed a bill Thursday that would define antisemitism in state law, with Republicans uniting in support of Israel’s war on Hamas and some Democrats splitting over fears of suppressing support for Palestinians.

“Today we can fight a pervasive and escalating threat in our state and fight it together,” said Senate President Pro Tem John Kennedy, a Macon Republican who guided the bill to Senate passage, 44-6. The measure had stalled in a Senate committee in 2023.

The House later agreed to changes, voting 129-5 for passage. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp said he would sign the bill, saying it “builds on our commitment to protect Georgians from criminal acts, including those based on hate.”

ISRAELI ARMY ORDERS EVACUATION OF KHAN YOUNIS REFUGEE CAMP AS BATTLE RAGES IN GAZA

On January 26, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) ordered the residents of several western neighborhoods in the city of Khan Younis to evacuate to the nearby al-Mawasi area in the southern Gaza Strip.

Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, published a map of the zones that need to be evacuated alongside the announcement. The zones include the al-Nasr and al-Amal neighborhoods, the Khan Younis refugee camp, and the city center.

Earlier, the IDF said in an update that the 98th Division killed dozens of Hamas fighters and the Air Force carried out a wave of strikes in Khan Younis.

Overnight, IAF fighter jets struck several Hamas sites in the city, including apartments used by fighters, weapons depots, observation posts and staging grounds, the IDF said.

In addition, the Paratroopers Brigade of the 98th Division spotted five Hamas fighters entering a building, and directed an airstrike on them.

Nearby, the Maglan unit spotted four Hamas fighters who had fired an anti-tank missile hours earlier, and directed a fighter jet to strike them, the IDF said, adding that several more fighters were killed by troops in the area.

The Givati Brigade, meanwhile, eliminated a six-man Hamas cell with tank shelling and sniper fire in the Khan Younis, the IDF said.

Separately, the IDF released footage showing an airstrike that targeted a three-man cell of Hamas in Khan Younis. The airstrike was called in by soldiers of the Border Defense Corps’ 636th Combat Intelligence Collection unit.

Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, the IDF said that fighter jets struck several Hamas sites, including a building that was booby-trapped, an anti-tank launch position, and a tunnel shaft, while reservists of the 5th Brigade killed several Hamas fighters with tank shelling and by directing airstrikes in the area.

The IDF also announced that the Navy also carried out strikes along the Gaza coast overnight, as part of support for troops of the Nahal Brigade who were maneuvering in the Strip.

Recent battles in Gaza were not without losses for the IDF. A revest Sergeant Major from the Combat Engineering Corps’ 8170th Battalion was killed in the southern part of the Strip. His death has brought the number of Israeli troops killed since the start of ground operations to 220. More than 1,200 others have been wounded so far.

Meanwhile on the Palestinian side, the death toll from the Israeli attack has exceeded 26,083, according to the latest update by the Hamas-run health ministry. More than 64,487 others have been wounded. Women and children make up most of the casualties.

According to recent reports, talks on a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of some of the Israeli hostages there gained some momentum in recent days. The United States, Egypt and Qatar are playing a key role in the indirect talks between Hamas and Israel. However, a deal may not come out soon.

Israeli Forces Flatten Gaza Border Areas to Create Militarized Zone

Israeli forces have already destroyed 1,100 of the 2,800 buildings in Gaza's border areas

Israel is destroying buildings and flattening areas of Gaza on the Israeli border to create a so-called “buffer zone” that Israel will militarize, demonstrating its long-term plans to occupy the Strip.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Israeli soldiers began working in November in an area in northern Gaza to create a wasteland roughly 1 kilometer in width. “Everything has been flattened,” one soldier said. “It was mostly agriculture. Now it’s a military zone, a complete no man’s land.”

Twenty-one Israeli soldiers were recently killed while planting explosives in a central Gaza neighborhood near the border as part of the work to destroy Gaza’s border areas. A Hamas rocket hit a nearby tank, detonating the explosives and collapsing the buildings.

According to a recent report from Israel’s N12 news, Israeli forces have already destroyed 1,100 of the 2,800 buildings in the border areas. Israeli officials have not confirmed the figures but have acknowledged they’re creating a “buffer zone” to prevent a future October 7-style attack.

Israeli officials claim the work is being done to “dismantle terrorist infrastructure,” but the fact that Israeli soldiers are able to plant explosives in buildings to demolish them makes it clear there’s no threat.

Financial Times reported that the US opposes Israel’s plans to take over Gaza’s border territory. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Tuesday that the US does “not want to see the territory of Gaza reduced in any way.” But the US continues to provide Israel with unconditional military support and political cover.

At least 8 of 50 recipients of $10 million payout from Seattle for BLM riots identified as Antifa

After legal fees, each of the radical activists will likely be walking away with a 6-figure payday reward for attempting to destroy a city.

Earlier this week, the city of Seattle settled a lawsuit for $10 million with a group of 50 Antifa and BLM activists who rioted during the 2020 “Summer of Love” in the Emerald City, and then crucified police for their response.

After legal fees, each of the radical activists will likely be walking away with a 6-figure payday reward for attempting to destroy a city.

According to the settlement documents obtained by The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, “Nothing contained herein shall be construed as an admission of liability on behalf of the City,” however, the settlement sends a clear message that if you riot in Seattle and attack police officers, you will get a hefty payout from Seattle taxpayers.

The list is a “who’s who” of activists, some of whom have criminal records, some of whom are public school teachers, and some who are both. 8 were confirmed to be associated with Antifa.

One of the activists receiving a payday from Seattle taxpayers already earns a living off them. Ian Golash is a teacher and department head at Chief Sealth High School in the Seattle Public School district. Golash teaches Ethnic Studies and World History.

WATCH: Israeli Media Admits Hamas Atrocity Propaganda Was Made Up to Drum Up Support for War

Israeli media outlet Channel 13 is now openly admitting that Israeli officials made up Hamas atrocity propaganda about babies on October 7 being killed en masse, baked in an oven and so on to drum up support for Israel's war in Gaza.

"Enough time has passed since October 7 for Israeli media to state what we've been saying for over three months, which is that Israel's military and political leadership fabricated many of the grisliest Hamas atrocities in order to generate support for the genocidal war it planned in Gaza," Max Blumenthal noted on X. "Here, a Channel 13 panel including Mickey Rosenthal, the longtime Israeli police spokesman who spread many such lies after October 7, acknowledges that lurid stories of babies hung on clotheslines, a fetus cut from a pregnant woman, a baby baked in an oven, and more were invented 'to increase the magnitude of hatred for Hamas.' As Rosenthal put it, 'The war is not only military, not only political, it's mainly media.' "

"Channel 13 manages to elicit a statement of contrition from the IDF spokesman, who apologizes for 'describ[ing] a reality that didn't happen.' Of course, confessions like these are easy when the damage has already been done."

Towards the end of the segment, they use these admissions to try and bolster their latest debunked lies about "Hamas mass rapes."

Their argument is essentially, "Yes we lied to you about everything that happened at the start of the war but these stories about mass rapes that we took two and a half months to come up with but have no evidence for are totally true. You can trust us because we admitted we lied about everything else."
