NYC Tesla Owners Rage at Musk as Huge Lines leave it "Impossible" to Charge Cars
New York City Tesla drivers have struggled to charge promptly as the area experiences an increasingly disproportionate car-to-charger ratio.
This surplus of electric models and limited supply of the auto maker’s Supercharging stations has spawned consistently long lines at locations in multiple boroughs, including Brooklyn and Queens.
According to Tesla, Superchargers are the fastest charging option when you’re away from home, allowing you to charge your vehicle up to 200 miles in 15 minutes.
Tesla’s lack of (EV) Superchargers in New York City isn’t just inconvenient for the average driver going about their day.
New York City recently changed rules regarding the type of cars eligible for a for-hire license, leading to more EV rideshares with little charging infrastructure reciprocation.
The X user told Musk: “SOS, here is a photo [of] what is happening in Brooklyn NYC Tesla Supercharger.
“In Brooklyn 10,000 guys bought [a] Tesla and now it is impossible to charge the car. Help us please.”
