Doesn't seem to have to do with cannibalism or bread or wine but needing righteousness through Jesus to sustain life.

 

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

RIGHTEOUSNESS, noun ri'chusness.

It includes all we call justice, honesty and virtue, with holy affections; in short, it is true religion.
